When you are away from home the first thing that you look for is food that reminds you of home. We asked around for the best Mexican food place in Salt Lake City Utah and someone recommended us this place. They were not wrong. They had the best birria and homemade tortillas. Just remembering the taste and looking at the picture, makes my mouth watery again. It had authentic Mexican flavor that you always look for in a restaurant. All the workers there were very nice and try to make you feel like you were at home. You see family dining together and they have their regular customers who always go back for their favorite food.

Enchiladas! There was three and they were huge.

I love this place! It's home cooking Mexican food. This place is always packed! My favorite thing was the homemade tortillas they were huge and I got six of them! I had the goat it was tender and delicious! Don't come here expecting red iguana. I will def be back I loved it.

OK im going to reference some of my other reviews, as I said before I was raised in very Latin household and have spent a considerable amount of time in Mexico. With that being said never had Billygoat meat so I was intrigued by a place who's name was "the billy goat" of course I got some billy goat meat tacos and I will say they are GREAT! The entrance is kind of intimidating but the food is great. If you're in the area I defiantly recommend. !!!FYI!!! they don't cash out at the table so when your bill is brought to you bring it up to the pay counter to pay.

Goat is a tougher meat which takes hours to cook in order to be tender and these guys do a fantastic job of that. These guys also add plenty of flavor to their food. Not to mention the portions are enormous! I ordered a sope Or should I say two of them but I think one would've been enough wowsers! So far everything I've tasted is good (barbacoa, carnitas(mixed) and carné asada) the service is great and they keep the place clean. For those reasons I recommend this place. I will definitely be back to try another dish.

This is hands down the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake City. The owners are from Morelos in Mexico. As you sit down they give you fresh cilantro, onions, red/green salsa, cream and toasted chiles de arbol. I had the red menudo that comes with hand made tortillas. The menudo was delicious and not greasy. The meat was tender clean and delicious. My husband got the Consome, that has goat meat and also comes with hand made tortillas. The flavor is just how he remembers from Mexico. My son had the carne asada quesadilla that was made with a hand made tortilla and was deep fried. He ate the whole thing. I definitely recommend this if your looking for REAL Mexican food.

Best quesadilla I've ever had! Food came out fast and hot. Only downside is the parking lot is tight.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

Food came out within minutes of ordering and all at once. Entrees on top of appetizers. Beer selection. Just the big name brands. Fine. But weirdly the rim of my beer glass was coated with a powder that tasted like ground up Doritos. Yuck. Food. Generic burritos and tacos were acceptable. The queso: Within minutes it cooled into a blob of chewy cheese. The chicken with mole: Chicken was dry and tasteless; the mole was thin and watery, and lacked any hint of chocolate. Did we dine here on an off night? Perhaps since it's a really popular place. Hard to say. All I can say is, it's not for us.
