#1. OG Asada Fries
Michelle N.

I love the convenience of ordering online through their website, they also had a discount code that automatically applied which was nice! However, it did end up taking double the time that was estimated even. I got a text saying my order was ready but had to wait longer as it wasn't actually ready. The OG fries were good but what ready stood out to me were the wings! The wings had good flavor and the buffalo ranch sauce was a great addition

We were assisted by the owner who was super kind and humble. He shared he'd just opened this location. With that being said, there's a couple of table for outdoor eating only and free parking spaces. As soon as we ordered he dropped our wings and fries to cook in that moment. Everything was served super hot and fresh! We got the 2 for $20 deal which is an AMAZING deal for the amount of food served. We selected the wings (two flavors) and carne asada fries which was just enough for two people to share! A MUST TRY!

Just order the wings already! You won't regret it! I chose to order 20 pieces so I could try a few different flavors, as well as have left-overs for lunch the next day. I had leftover for two days! The wings are a nice size, the sauces were all delicious, and the wings were cooked nicely. Sometimes when you order wings they can have an odd rubbery texture, or they are too small, or have weird gristle. Not here! The flavors I chose are mango habanero, golden bbq, and lemon pepper parmesan. They were all good! In addition they also have classic buffalo, sweet and spicy, nashville style, and mexican mole (limited edition I think). My order came with some ranch for dipping as well. I needed it to cool my mouth after the mango habanero wings!

Nasty.

I stood inside at the counter waiting for about 10 minutes, and eventually yelled our "are you guys open" (after confirming the hours posted online and at the door) and they just never answered me. There were employees who could see and hear me. They just chose to ignore me. Additionally, the kitchen and seating area was filthy and looked suuuuper trashy. Would not recommend!!

I usually will choose a safety carne asada something when trying out a new place, along with at least one pork something, usually carnitas, as those are mostly "safe," for me and my food intolerances, and that's just what I did here. I saw there were elotes and considered that as well, but I also noted this place was a bit on the expensive side for street tacos, so my temptation did not get the better of me there. If I go back, I will probably give those a whirl. Alas, that is the big question...if I go back. I did enjoy the carne asada taco, but had what was the worst al pastor taco I've ever experienced and then followed that up with arguably the worst carnitas I've ever had...so, because I'm feeling charitable as I pound the keys for this, I'm chocking it up to me just ordering the wrong thing(s). There is a respectable menu and a decent additions cooler, so if I do go back, I'll definitely try some of the other stuff, but I can't say I'm in a hurry to do that and will probably drive by this place a whole bunch more first.

Like always, Yelp helped me find another great spot! We were traveling through Utah and this was…read moreour first food stop of the trip. It definitely did NOT disappoint! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean. First of all, Muertos Cantina is a total vibe! The inside is so cool with fluorescent lighting, colorful decor and bottles displayed beautifully behind the bar. Even the bathrooms are worth mentioning! Each one is decorated differently with tons of bright colors. Seriously, each bathroom is like its own little fiesta sanctuary. Now for the FOOD! They start you off with fresh tortilla chips and a trio of salsas, and the chips were AMAZING (especially the flour chips). Each salsa had its own completely different flavor. The Red Chile Arbol had some heat, the Chipitle Lime Crema was smooth & creamu, and then there was the milder Tomatillo Verde, which was my favorite. Soooo good! We also tried the Agua Frescas. They were refreshing, flavorful and really pretty to look at. The watermelon was probably our least favorite, but to me anything watermelon flavored can sometimes taste a little watered down. The pineapple was definitely the winner because it was way more flavorful and satisfying. Then came the Elote Corn Dip. YUMMY! It had fire roasted corn, cheese, spices, crema, pico de gallo, cilantro and Tajín. It had so much flavor and texture. Definitely one I would order again. My daughter chose the Birria Ramen, and I think this might have been her favorite part of the meal. It had slow cooked beef birria, consommé, melty cheese and ramen noodles with cilantro and red onions, plus lime and radishes on the side. It had a little spice to it and was absolutely packed with flavor. She loved it! My husband ordered one of their burritos with a side of tater tots. The kid in him was VERY happy that tater tots were an option. And FYI the burritos here are HUGE. I ordered the Smothered Spicy Chile Verde Burrito, and OMG. It had braised pork in chile verde sauce with rice and refried black beans, wrapped in a flour tortilla and then smothered with MORE chile verde, melted cheese and chipotle lime crema. It was MASSIVE and SO GOOD! I honestly have yet to find anything in Reno that compares to this one. I would order it again in a heartbeat. And whatever you do, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! We got the churro beignets, and they were fantastic. Covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with caramel and condensed milk... seriously, what more do you need? They were the perfect way to finish the meal. Muertos Cantina ended up being such a great first stop on our Utah trip. Fun atmosphere, really good food, huge portions and so many different flavors. Again the atmosphere set the entire vibe for our meal. Yelp came through for me again!

The breakfast area was separate from the rest of the restaurant which ended up in ordering being kind of strange. I didn't really like their kiosk system. I did think the ambiance was fun and nice. All in all, it was a good visit.

You can order an individual taco here or get their protein options in a bowl or burrito. My wife and I ordered a mess of tacos to share. My favorites included some of the more unique ones, like the KC pig filled with pulled pork and BBQ sauce and the beef bulgogi. The vibes are really interesting here. If you have ever been to a MOD pizza with the stickers on the walls, it's kind of like that, but more graffiti-like. The seating is fun and quirky. The actual restaurant is hidden away in an alley, which is a bit sketchy compared to the rest of downtown SLC, so just be cautious. ROCTACO certainly isn't a traditional taco spot, but they are doing some cool stuff, and they are worth trying. Check them out!

She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide.
