Lovely little spot on the south side. I took WAY too long to visit Adrian's but I'm glad I finally did. Safe during covid- plenty of space to keep your distance unless they become a bit busy in their shop. Apple cider slushie is SO good and did not disappoint. It was a bit warm that day too so it was a perfect treat. I recommend going to the pumpkin patch as early as you can during the season (but not too early so your carved pumpkin doesn't spoil before Halloween). The selection was great for how early we went. You pay by the weight too which I found to be reasonably priced in my opinion. The lady outside helping the patch gives tips on how to keep your pumpkin to last longer too. She recommends cutting from the bottom so the stem keeps it's nutrients. Overall we had a great time. And no entry fee :) Oh! And and.. their apple butter is world class perfection!!

Some orchards are out in the middle of nowhere and promote themselves by adding festivals, playgrounds, corn mazes, etc. Otherwise, why would you travel there. But Adrian Orchards is an Urban Orchard. It's nestled into a neighborhood that grew up around it. Did you know that this orchard has been going for 95 years? That says they must be doing something right! So, don't come expecting lots of fun things to entertain children. They have a pumpkin patch, an apple orchard, and a store. The good news is that keeps the crowds down so you can get in, make your selections, and not wait long in line. I pulled into their paved parking lot (another plus!) and browsed around some of the display they had outside their store. They were selling beautiful mums for only $8 that were ideal for planting (I did!) Inside the store, there was a wide range of produce, apple cider (already cold), Indian corn bundles, and an area decorated with festive autumn and Halloween items. They also had jams and jellies, and other canned goods for fruits that were out of season. Staff was friendly and offered to help find items. Checkout was quick and easy too. If you want all the perks of going to the orchard without having to fight the crowds, then consider Adrian! Review #3156

As always, They never disappoint me! Fresh apple cider, caramel apples, fried biscuits with apple butter, Yummy! I love to come here in the fall and pick my pumpkin and get a gallon of fresh cider! During the month of October there is a church group that sells huge all beef hot dogs w/ a pickle for $3 and fried biscuits with apple butter made fresh while u wait! It is always free to shop and a family owned business for 3 generations.

    Beautiful garden.

I always love finding new produce, fruit and vegetable stands, especially when they are full-fledged orchards! I live on the Northside of Indianapolis and am just becoming familiar with that area. I don't know much at all about the Southside. A friend of mine at work told me about this place. So I made the venture over there and I am glad I did. I must say I didn't expect to find an orchard so close to the city. But it was absolutely breathtaking! It is very well maintained. The fruit trees and gardens were all just lovely! What I really loved, was they had rather small selections of each item. That usually means the items are extremely fresh. As you can see by the pictures, they have a wide variety of beautiful fruits & veggies. I basically went over there, because my friend said they had white peaches, which are harder to find. We had a white peach tree in our yard when I was growing up. I really enjoy them. I picked some up. I also picked up some of the best apple cider I've ever had, including the best I've had in Indiana. I got some lovely grape tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, and some Summer Tomato Dressing. Yes, in addition to the produce, they had a lot of sauces, dressings and salsas that were locally made. It was quite the amazing place and the staff is very helpful & nice. Even though it's about a 40 minute drive from my place, I'll definitely be back frequently! Great place!

Blink and you might just fly past Adrian Orchards. Smack in the middle of older and newer residential additions, this orchard really crams a lot into the land it occupies. A small apple orchard, pumpkin patch and barn all beckon you to take a break from harried city life without really leaving the metropolis. Adrian's presses their own cider in the fall and it is delicious! We also picked up some Macintosh apples during our visit - several of them did not make it home - the spicy, juicy handfuls were just too darn good to resist! Since we were on our way to eat lunch, we did not pick up any other treats, but the carmel apples tempted us. Also, on the day of our visit, two ladies were outside the barn cooking up fried biscuits with apple butter, brats and hot dogs. This is not something I've seen done at other local orchards, but what a great idea! Adrian apparently does not do the "U Pick" thing, but does provide excellent customer service. This is a great place to take the kids, especially around pumpkin-selecting time. The folks here have been growing fruit and other select produce for 83 years....that says something about their commitment to quality!

'Tis the season for apples! This is the perfect place to go.We took our residents for an outing, so we were on a bus- which we had no problem parking in the spacious private parking lot.The doors are slightly tricky to get into if you're in a wheelchair because of the uneven, but the kind employees asked us if we needed help (they opened the doors for us). There was one employee who particularly stood out.Her name was Tracey "with an e".Ha.I asked her if it was with or without an e so I could spell her name correctly in this review. She was so sweet and helpful, she was also very well informed on the taste of each apple, and also gave me comparisons to apples they didn't have. She also made sure to give us a complimentary apple for it being our first visit. I bought an apple cider slushie for a resident and myself, those are to die for!You purchase them at the Apple Cider Bar, right before you check out.Don't let the name fool you- they have an array of jellies, pies, novelties, etc. What a great family owned and operated business!!

Came for apples, all I got was a**holes. They do be thicc tho. Five stars, gonna be a good night tonight.

    Pumpkin patch and apple orchard

Picked up a few pumpkins and some delicious snacks here on a beautiful day in October. Quaint pumpkin patch that you can walk through and pick your own out. Watch the mud! They have so many delicious looking baked goods and a great display of all things fall currently. The apple cider slush is so good as is the regular cider.

Kinda small and in the middle of an encroaching housing development, but the cider is wonderful as are the caramel apples.

Little disappointed in the orchard, leaves some to be desired. They didn't have the apple cinnamon donuts that we went for.

    Can I bring my dog?

According to the sign on the door, only service dogs inside the store. Not sure about the actual pumpkin patch.

Art in…read moreBloom, The Lume immersive experiences , Winterlights and of course Harvest Nights are some of the annual events I look forward to. Last night was the third time I attended Harvest Nights. This was the first time I arrived before it was dark so it was less spooky and a bit more wholesome in the daylight. We arrived at 7 and stayed until about 9 pm to experience everything lit up after dark. When you arrive, you're surrounded by stacks of pumpkins in every size, shape, color and type imaginable. Beautiful Fall arrangements are everywhere you look. The Fungi Forest was something new I haven't seen before. Very cool! I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland encompassed by giant mushrooms towering above illuminated by strategically placed neon lights. One of the highlights of the event was the Cutwater Lounge--a 21+ space upstairs in the Lily House transformed into "Mischief Manor" only for Harvest Nights. The bartender told me this was the first year having this feature. We had a flight of the Cutwater alcoholic beverages that included a snack mix of tasty treats. The Mule and Espresso Martini were our favs with the margarita coming in 3rd. Cutwater's take on the Lemon Drop (which is a drink I typically enjoy) was strong yet tasted a bit watered down. The adult only experience wasn't very well marked (it's upstairs) and signage in general--starting at the parking lot entrance--needs improvement. I'm not sure we would have known about the adult area had it not been for the nice lady who sold us some yummy sweet potato fries with sage and bourbon maple dip. The Spider Stomp, Ghost Train and light show projected onto the Lily House all add to the overall experience. The seasonal food and drink options are great albeit a bit pricey. Passed on the $12 Bavarian pretzel but had to try Elysian Pumpkin Ale and wanted to try the cider but $14 was a little steep. It's not necessary to spend $20 for premium parking that they pressure you to purchase when you first pull into the lot. I recommend getting there early and wearing some of your best walking shoes. It's a cashless campus so good to keep that in mind. Love Newfields and can't wait for Winterlights in a couple months!

There were tons of decorated pumpkins throughout Newfields. There is a food/drink garden area in the middle with benches to take a break if you want. We ordered the Marsh & Mallow Spooky Campfire Cocoa (spiked hot cocoa) and we all liked it and was comforting on this chilly night. The Lily house had a long line but we enjoyed going in and seeing all the spooky details inside.

They have strawberries, red raspberries, asparagus, pumpkins, grapes and sunflowers, depending on the time of the year. They are very active on social media, so they keep followers up-to-date on the status of their crops and seasons. They have a shop where you will find pre-picked crops, fudge, ice cream, pies, muffin and bread mixes, peanut butters, snack mix, jams/preserves, popcorn, aprons and sauces. In addition to the crop that you could also pick your self, they have seasonal items that they bring in that include tomatoes, black raspberries, and peaches. It is a neat little shop and the staff is very friendly. You will find rockers and a table and chairs in the front of the shop and some tables and chairs on the side, where you can sit and eat. There is a winery in the front of the farm's grounds, but I did not check it out. I was on a mission to get some black raspberries. I also ended of getting a slice of the berry pie, which was delicious. I highly recommend getting some of their pies. You will not regret it. The black raspberries were ok. They were a little bitter than what I was expecting and as compared to the red variety. Now if you are expecting super low prices because you are buying direct, I found that shopping here was not the case. You are getting freshness though and if you do pick your own, that is a cool experience as well. This is a neat little farm located near Westfield, about 35 minutes outside of the city.

Oh my goodness there are so many activities to enjoy, both for kids and adults. The place was so crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and you could tell everyone was having a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend heading out there! A few things to note: first, dogs are allowed! If you are like me and have a trained service animal, it can be a bit overwhelming (if you know, you know). They are not allowed in indoor spaces, only outside (SD's allowed everywhere). But many people had their pets and seemed to really be enjoying themselves! Second, food does not really meet dietary needs/restrictions. They have a lot of your basic "fair foods" or foods you'd find at a pumpkin patch - hot pretzels, burgers, hot dogs, apple cider donuts, etc. I am vegetarian and really struggled to find a true meal other than little snacky things scattered about. If you are planning to spend the day here (which you can EASILY do), plan ahead with food in your car! Third, on the plus side, everything was wheelchair accessible. Terrain may be harder to navigate with gravel and many hills going up & down (paths are dirt but well established), but all buildings have access. Other than this, it truly was a fun time!! Would visit again, and am planning on it!
