I usually sleep in on Saturdays, but there's something special about getting up early and discovering experiences like this. I'm so glad I did. The day started out gloomy with cloudy skies and off and on rain, but it cleared up just in time for me to enjoy the market. I took a stroll through the vendors to see everything they had to offer. The fresh corn stand was especially popular, and I loved the flower vendor where you could create your own bouquet, which was also popular! There were several tea vendors offering samples, and I really enjoyed the green tea, bourbon peach tea, and a refreshing hibiscus watermelon drink, they were all delicious. While this isn't a huge farmers market, there was still a great variety of vendors selling fresh produce, popcorn, mushrooms, Salamat Cookies, and even Filipino barbecue. The owners at the barbecue stand were incredibly friendly. There was also live music, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Parking was available both on site and on the surrounding streets. It did get busy, but I was still able to find a spot nearby without much trouble. Illumine Coffee had its coffee truck there serving both hot and iced drinks, which was a nice addition. I had a wonderful time walking around, supporting local vendors, and soaking in the atmosphere. I'd definitely love to come back!

The staff is wonderful and cares a lot about the guests happiness. The only thing I did NOT care for is for the parents being required to pay to join the fun festival area. On the other hand, I very much appreciate the addition of Limelight Coffee serving up Cold Brew and ADH Teas offering locally blended teas. I can't get enough of their Spanish Lemon iced tea. Along with these two beverages you can always find me munching on a bag of D&S Kettle Corn. All of their popping corn is Indiana grown and they use Indiana maple syrup on their maple corn offering but I highly recommend the sweet & salty. Not a huge fan of kettle corn? They are happy to pop up a batch of plain for you as well. This year is a growing year for the market. It will take some time to get used to the new location & new name but with the addition of more produce vendors and readily available food options this market (fingers crossed) will get its groove back.

I understand the parking and space is much easier/plentiful here but the partnership with City Market seemed like such a smart and natural fit. Plus, I loved strolling from one section of the market to the next to gather breakfast and eats for the week. The new location offers many of the vendors you've seen in the past - Duos, Bee Coffee, Amelia's, Wildflower Honey and so on. Parking is free and located across the street and you won't have a hard time finding a spot. My biggest hang up at this location is the dark/warehouse feel that seems to be a big contrast to the light and flow found at City Market.

Best winters farmers market in Indy!!…read more Small amount of parking in the main lot with tons of parking across the street in the gravel lot. The place stays pretty busy from open to close. Most weeks all the vendors are there but sometimes it can be slow. Usually there are 4-6 booths with greens and veggies, 2 apple orchards, 1-2 Kombucha vendors, 2-3 bakeries, and an assortment of others from essential oils, pickling snacks, mustard, salt dressing, honey and coffee. All local businesses and all wonderful people. There is usually live music playing, prepared food vendors and a few tables to sit at. Note - You can't bring your pets to this one since it is inside and the isles can get crowded so if you have small children it is best to carry them or have them in a stroller.

Due to construction that's why it's moved to the circle. I noticed today they've added more food trucks which they did need. They definitely could add more. You have lots of visitors and people who work downtown who attend lots of functions that happen on the circle. Flying Dirt Farm, Hunter's Honey Farm, Chez Pauline are ones I always stop at. They have vegetables, flowers, soaps, and more. It seems like when it first started in May it wasn't as busy. Now, you can tell it's picked up. Good for the vendors! Because of you meet all those requirements, you can visit Indianapolis' Original Farmers' Market and have a terrific time. Market Street is closed to vehicular traffic during the Farmers Market, so it gets transformed into a pedestrian mall. There must have been 50 vendors on both sides of the street. And what might those vendors sell? Probably every type of fruit and vegetable grown in the state of Indiana, plus spices, ciders, baked goods, oils, vinegars, eggs, meats, granola, wine, flowers, beef jerky, coffees, guacamole, salsa, tostadas, soap, cosmetics, honey, popcorn, lemonade, bakery goodies, egg rolls, pet foods, teas, coffee, and cocktail mixes. It's a gorgeous sensory overload of reds and oranges and yellows and greens as you see stall after stall of amazing looking produce. I picked up some great beef jerky and a bottle of cocktail mix from Tailored Toddies. This was one helluva great Farmers Market!

It's a lovely market. It's very simple the layout basically one big circle. I wish I could find the name of the lady that had a table FULL of vases of flowers. They were stunning!!! She's not only a good floral designer, but I can't imagine what her flower gardens look like. She filled them full with flowers. Rock of Etches has sand engraved pottery. Had to buy my dad a Hoosiers mug. They had Pacers, Purdue, I U mugs. They had other neat pieces of pottery too. They had so many different small businesses there. Food, gifts, soaps, candles, signs you name it. Will definitely be back!! I was surprised how much stuff I found. Going to be wearing my new Indiana earrings with my Pacers shirt for the big game!

Came across this by accident, as I was in the area for dinner…read more Of course I had to go and check it out. It is a fairly small market, but it does offer all the basics. From veggies to meat to prepared meals to smoothies to fresh flowers and so on. I couldn't resist a big bunch of flowers, beautifully put together for $25. Well worth it if I may say so. Gorgeous flowers and a big variety of them. You can also buy single stems and put them together yourself, but I just do not have a talent for that, so I went with the premade arrangement. No two are alike, which makes it special. Check out all this little market has to offer next time you are in the neighborhood.
