Amazing customer service! The fruit was so tasty and the price was just right! I got the 9oz cup and it was the perfect size for a snack.

There's a sign in the salad bar area that tells customers a) The Famous Tomato has the freshest and…read morecleanest salad bar in Indy, and b) please don't touch the salad bar, and also wait behind this line so someone can help you create your salad. I guess this is how they maintain a salad bar that's so fresh and so clean. (No Outkast.) You animals used your grubby, bare hands one too many times to reach for the croutons, and now look what you did. Now we have to talk to someone if we want a salad, and point at what we want like a child. It's all your fault! Actually, it's probably for the best because the salad bar did look delectable and immaculate. So many fresh a clean vegetables! They also have an area with soup and chili, which the staff will also help you with. There are some tables in the salad bar area, so you can sit and eat your food inside the shop. Mostly, though, The Famous Tomato is a specialty food store. Lots of old fashioned candy, hot sauce and barbecue sauce, novelty sodas, so many different flavors of Moon Pies, and random things like salted peanuts in the shell. It's also a little farmers market, so you'll find lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Famous Tomato feels like a hidden gem, even though it's right there in plain sight in Speedway. For some reason, I would pass by it and I thought it was a Fazoli's? It's most certainly not, though. When you step inside, you'll see that this is a special place, with lots of special and local foods.

One here for lunch with my girlfriend the inside of the store is very unique, with lots of sauces,…read moresodas, and candies. I got the salad buffet, and essentially had a Caesar salad salad. The price was incredibly cheap and the salad quality was very respectable. The person taking my order was very nice I would go back for a cheap and easy meal.

New juicery? Yes, please! It's incredibly hard to consume all of the vegetable and fruit servings…read moreyou're supposed to have in one day, and when I have succeeded, it's probably because I've had a cold-pressed juice. Seriously! One juice is MULTIPLE servings of both! I walked in and the owner passionately explained all their juices and let me try all of them to make my decision a bit easier. So nice of him! I ordered the "Green with Envy" juice and it has: 1.5 apples, 2 heads of romaine, 1/4 cucumber, 1/4 celery and 1/4 bunch of kale. WOW. Feelin' clean over here. The shop itself is new as of a month or so ago and serves kombucha, coffee (and I believe tea?) in addition to their cold-pressed juices. They didn't have any food that I saw. There are a few tables for people to sit down and work. The owner mentioned that they're currently trying to rebrand to 317 juice so are awaiting a few changes until that name is officially up and running. Stay tuned for them and definitely check them out!

Super new juicery in town! Stopped in to try the flavors and they've only been open a few weeks…read more The space has so much potential and fits so well with the Fountain Square vibe. The owner is extremely passionate about her business and how they want to expand. They offer four juice flavors currently and all recipes are original. The Carrot Bliss was by far my favorite and could be a great breakfast drink as it's also flavored with orange. Organic, vegan and they also have coffee and teas. Expansions could include smoothies (YUM), a juice bar so people can customize and activities like yoga. This would also be a great work space! Stop in and show them some love.
