I had an appointment last week with Adobe Animal Hospital on April 30, 2026 to have an X-ray done for my little doggie Lucky Girl. She had been very sick and I was very concerned, stressed and worried about her, and I waited for the X-ray results. When the x-rays came back, it was not good and the RVT Veterinarian Technician by the name of Stephanie was Awesome going over the results with me. She explained the details of the x-rays in a very kind and pleasant manner and I could see that she too, cared and was very concerned about my baby doggie Lucky Girl, that made me think, maybe she too had dogs at home. Stephanie mentioned and explained to me the different ways to give my doggie her pill and ways to help her eat her dog food since my doggie is a very finicky eater. Stephanie went out of her way and took that extra and Stephanie mile to help me and Lucky Girl feel a little more comfortable. I think Dr. Lori O'Neil and her staff which includes Rose, Lourdes, and Stephanie are Awesome ladies and very helpful, friendly and always with a smile. That's why I gave them a 5 star and would highly recommend the Adobe Animal Hospital. read more

This staff has been so amazing to us and our dog M. J. All the staff here are always so helpful and so informative when it comes to care. M. J. has been fighting a ear infection and dry eyes but with the help of Dr. Lori O'Neil and her staff she is doing better. Rose, Lourdes, and Stephanie are always so nice when we call in and come in. They are always great on trying to get us appointments or help with medications and so thankful to everyone there that is so caring to pets and their families. I had a hard time finding a medication M.J. needed and when I called back for help they were able to order for us and always willing to answer questions. I had to make the hard decision to put my pup to sleep. It was tough...sooo tough ! The receptionist really needs to work on her customer service , it really makes all the difference. Her attitude while discussing your options when it comes to your pup's ashes is just off and cold. The vet and the vet assistant are ok. I just felt some of the staff was unprofessional for their role. They sent us a sympathy card which is thoughtful , our pups paw prints on pieces of paper and some of her fur. Yes they did take us in for an appointment when I had already called multiple vets since our vet had retired.. that's why they get two stars . Our bill was over $500 which is typical for a pittie as larger dogs. Your experience may be different but I would not recommend. If I ever have a pup again ( which I don't think I can ), I would not come back. read more

My son has several cats and has always taken them there. I recently moved from Florida where I used to work at a cat rescue. He suggested I go here with my personal cats. The staff and doctor were very nice and patient and took the time to explain everything to me. They examined my cats and gave them their vaccines that were due. Upon opening our front door, the officers told us someone called and reported that one of our 15 years old cats who's loved dearly is being neglected. Turns out "adobe animal hospital" was accusing us of animal neglect without evidence on the very FIRST visit all because we decided to get a second opinion after being told that they needed to change a typo in the diagnosis from "kidney disease" to "liver disease". WTF, that's not a typo. A retaliatory action to report false accusations with possible fines/jail time & removal of our pet(s), in my opinion, this should the only actual crime being committed. All because we wanted the best care for our 15 year old in door cat and get a second opinion. Even the new Veterinarian, whom we made an appointment to see one hour prior that same morning agreed that same person we spoke to was very rude and unprofessional even to the new Veterinarian. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Adobe. They were able to see my dog the next day and quickly ran all tests in-house. The vet and assistant were extremely thorough in their explanations and made sure I understood all of the treatment options. I unfortunately, had to make the difficult decision to put my dog down that same day. That was an extremely difficult and painful decision to make, but they gave me the space and time to make it. The level of compassion and attentiveness they showed my pup was amazing. They made her comfort their priority. I will always be extremely grateful to Adobe's staff for their compassionate care. read more

I thought you guys were supposed to care for animals not neglect them. But I guess you don't care once they die right? We brought my dog here earlier this year for her checkup. After expressing my concerns for my dog's hearing and sight, neither of those were addressed by the vet. Months later, my dog is too sick to save and we had to euthanize her here. Her ashes had been sitting in their office for a month. They made no effort whatsoever to contact us. They claimed they called the primary phone number on file (my mom's phone), but there were no missed calls or voicemails. We only found out her ashes were ready because my mom called and asked. When I went to pick up my dog's ashes (that had been sitting in their office for a month), I asked them why they made no effort to contact us. The lady at the front said they only call one time. Wow. One time? For my dead dog's ashes? My mom couldn't even get out of the car, she was crying too much. There was no apology from them. Nothing. We hate this place. Only go here if you want your animals to be neglected. Wish I could give 0 stars. I needed a new vet to treat my sweet dog Salem for FLEAS. Apparently Oxnard has a flea problem that I was not aware of. Fleas are year round here because of our beautiful weather. I called a few vets in the area but Adobe was the one who was able to get me in ASAP which I was super grateful for. I did take a look at the reviews and it's mixed. It's sad how people forget that this place May save your babies life. I was able to make an appointment for the next day. Someone also called the same day of my appointment to get me in sooner. Kudos to you adobe. The two woman who helped me were super sweet with Salem. They both informed me throughly of what to do with my flea problem at home too. The vet herself was through and informative of all the options I had for the fleas. Never did I feel pressured to do something unnecessary to my dog. The office also called me back to follow up on Salem the next day. Overall my first experience has zero complaints. Salem is flea f Thank you adobe for taking care of us Their shot clinic is HORRIBLE. They were 30 min late in opening and no apologizes, nothing. They just acted like nothing. He was my partner and mines precious son. I lost is Daddy in April 2 years ago. Now my our son in April too. Now he's with his other Daddy Jeff .They tried everything humanly possible for my baby. He had a bad liver. He gave me a happiness I never new he was our joy our reason to live and love and be a better us. Go have fun adventures hiking and walking He made me a better person. Here we go...so I had just moved to Ventura (back in 2014), and my 2yr old dog was getting sick. We couldn't figure out what was going on so we searched for vets and this one popped up. I believe it was the only one that was able to take my dog in the quickest so we brought him here. A little info on my dog, he is a hemophiliac (his blood doesn't clot) so we have to be very careful and cautious with him. He was having stomach problems and was throwing up and couldn't keep anything down. When we brought him here, they insisted he needed surgery. They showed me the xrays they took and pointed to a fuzzy spot and said, "see right here, he has a blockage. We need to do surgery." I told him that wasn't an option. He will die if they even tried. They were very inexperienced when it came to treating a dog with this condition. I can understand that since it's a very rare condition in animals, so I was more understanding. But considering they kept trying to push the surgery I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere. I found an amazing vet in Los Angeles (which was over an hour drive) that practices holistic medicine. We decided it was worth the trip. The vet in LA asked if I could bring the xrays that Adobe took so we wouldn't have to take more. I went to the front at Adobe and asked for the xrays they took. They tried to make it seem like I wasn't allowed to take them. They were asking over and over what I wanted them for and I said I just needed them. Keep in mind these are xrays that I paid for. They made me sign some paperwork that said I HAD to bring back the xrays or else they would charge me. I told them no problem! I took the xrays to the vet in LA and he said they were very poor quality and he couldn't distinguish anything with them. So I had to get new xrays and the comparison between the xrays was insane. You could see the new ones crystal clear! The doctor told me that he didn't see blockage they had mentioned. So he gave us some antibiotics for what he believed was an infection in his stomach. Two days later my boy had recovered fully and was back to normal! Thank god for that amazing vet in LA! We always go to him for the more serious cases since he is a drive away. I returned the xrays to Adobe (not the nicest staff), and that was the last time I ever walked in there. I have since told people the story of what happened. I'm very picky when it comes to vets. Especially after what happened here. I definitely do t recommend this clinic. read more

My 9 month English Bulldog died within 12 hours of surgery and being release from this place. To the doctor and staff, your pet is just another number to them. From the start, they tried to vaccinate my dog on vaccines he already had and overcharge us on anything they can. This is a horrible place and staff. My mother took her pet to get spayed. They used staples and did not provide her with enough pain medication. Only a days worth and her poor dog was in severe pain. She had to contact them and go back to get more medication. Her dog was afraid to lay down and was not able to sleep for days. They need to update their surgery skills. It's 2022 for goodness sake. I spayed my pet at Fillmore animal hospital and my dogs incision is basically invisible. This is torture. Do not bring your pet here unless you want it to suffer. Unbelievable. It's still the same. I called to make an appointment ASAP for my dog Casper because he's having really bad skin allergies. The receptionist lady picked up and said that they can book my dog on Saturday which was perfect because I don't work Saturday. I agreed and she put me on hold for 10 minutes. Another lady came to the phone and told me that I have to pre pay for my appointment. I said sure. She charged me $54 for the pre pay deposit. Afterwards she then told me "so you wanted to book an appointment for Thursday?" And I said "no I agreed to Saturday?" And she said we have nothing for Saturday. I asked her then why did the other lady said Saturday is open? I was very angry and not shocked because I expected the worst from this clinic. Took my dog here for an ear infection because my regular vet was not available....boy what a mistake first of all never had to pay to make an appointment then Vet was very rude telling me my dog looked emanciated after looking at him for 5 seconds then looked in his ear and yelled to her assistant this ear smells like a sewer! She then left the room sent her assistant back with a list of treatments she wanted to do to my dog? WHAT? I came in for an ear infection so I said no to ALL treatment except for the ear infection. Our cat has progressively gotten worse thanks to this vets awful advice to wait because "it'll clear up" extremely unprofessional.
