Allan came to our house on a Sunday afternoon to fix something we thought would be rather quick. As with most home repair jobs, it ended up being more involved than we anticipated. He ran to Home Depot and bought parts. He stayed until everything was fixed, well into the evening. Additionally, Allan was super nice and very personable. It always feels a little weird having a stranger in your home; but Allan was easy-going and professional and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends. Pricing was very reasonable and well worth it! read more

Can to my house and was asked to diagnose why the bathroom fan switch/timer wouldn't work. He looked at it for a while, went to the attic, the basement, and came back and said it was going to be about $700 to run a complete new line to the bathroom. He was at my house about an hour, and then told me he will be back. He has to leave to go to "his job". Came back, said my GFCI was bad. Replaced it, and it didn't fix the original problem. I paid him his $110 and he left. I called out another guy that same day and the new guy after less than 10 minutes said "You have something harder for me?" He fixed it in less than 10 minutes and for $50. Included in that $50, was also a replacement of an outlet under my sink area. Needless to say..... I wont be calling out ADJ anymore. I don't know why he couldn't fix my issue that somebody else fixed so quickly. I also don't know why I paid and went along with giving him money for not fixing my issue. read more

Allan is professional, knowledgeable and reliable! I found him on Yelp, after my AC had went out which was only the beginning of many electrical problems in my home that were causing my appliances to not turn on. Let's just say it was a Saturday and he was out with his family. He allowed me to explain the severity of my problem and he showed up to fix the problem within a couple of hours. How's that for great customer service?!! I will definitely refer, and hire Allan for any future electrical problems or upgrades!! Thanks so much Allan! read more

These guys are great. Had a problem and called them up based off of the reviews. They did not disappoint. Problem solved but noticed a different problem later on. Allan came back the next day, fixed everything and the price was very fair. Very good communication through all aspects of the job. Hopefully nothing will go wrong in the near future but if it happens, I know to call ADJ Electric. Thanks Allan! read more

Arrived within an hour of calling, was professional, fixed the problem efficiently and very pleasant personality. Would recommend.

Allan rescued me when my TV wouldn't turn on and my outlets weren't working. He patiently walked through the steps and waited to make sure everything was working before hanging up the phone with me. I can't say enough good things about ADJ. With just 24 hours notice they turned my midcentury cave into a brilliantly illuminated, welcoming modern home. Installation and clean up were spot-on. I'll definitely hire them for my next project. read more

ADJ was great to work with and have very reasonable prices. The techs were friendly and professional and they were able to schedule our job right away. We have already referred them to other family members. I will definitely be using them in the future for any electrical needs. read more

I've used ADJ Electric for several major projects around my home. The price quoted was the price I paid and all were reasonable. In 2005, they installed a whole house fan in my attic. There was nothing left to clean up and the fan works great! Several years later, they installed a top of the line vent hood in my kitchen that needed a rigid tube vented to the outside. I'm very pleased with the work done which included several smaller projects as well. Not only will I use them again, I'd confidently recommend them to my family and friends. read more

We were very satisfied with ADJ Electric. Anthony came to our home and fixed our electrical issue after digging through layers of insulation. He was courteous and professional and resolved our lighting situation. Alan followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure all was good. Spoke to Allan. Just moved into a home in upland and needed new switches, dimmers, ceiling fan, and asked him to trouble shoot the landscape lighting which wasn't working. He came over, looked over some things, emailed me a quote, and that was that. Called and texted him on when he could start and no response. He seemed like a nice guy, I guess he just doesn't want work. read more

The owner, Allan, seem like a nice guy on the phone. The guy he sent was not so good nor knowledgeable. I had an agreed price with the owner, but the guy tried to charge me much more. when he was here Then he really didn't do anything to solve our issue. Gave me a quote for doing something really expensive to solve the problem. Very sketchy...at least the guy that came. read more

Open beams are beautiful, but finding fun, modern light fixtures for them can be a daunting task. Swags and plug-ins always have to be converted and ceiling fans never really provide the kind of bright light that we wanted. After a month of estimates from far and wide to have a fixture hardwired we finally decided to go with Allan of ADJ Electric. We're glad we did. Allan was fantastic and his workmate Luis was excellent. I can be, what's the word? Not picky, but exacting. I like perfection. I expect it. I crave it. Allan met the challenge. For every hoop I offered up - no matter the height or depth - he jumped through it. To the side, overhead, on the ground, rotating - every question, every concern, answered and alleviated. We love our new fixture. Where there once was darkness, now there is light...and a handy dandy switch. When you live in an older home it is the simple upgrades that you appreciate. Allan understands that. He was fair, reasonable and a pleasure to have in our home. read more

Had an breaker issue, would not reset after numerous tries. Found ADJ (Allan, the owner) on Yelp and saw he had some great reviews, so I called. I am not surprised at why ADJ gets very good reviews...our experience with him was great..!! He showed up, did some troubleshooting and found our breaker was bad. After changing the breaker, one outlet still would not work that fed off that breaker, opened it up and found some serious shorting burns. Allan, unfortunately had to open up a portion of the wall around the outlet to properly fix the issue (our home was built in 1966, we have the original wiring). After fixing the issue, he also has a co-worker who does an amazing job at patching up. Luis (ADJ's patch person) did a great job patching up the wall and ensuring the texturing matched the rest of the wall. Overall a great experience at a very reasonable price..!! They will be my "go to" team, if I ever have any future electrical issues. Highly recommend if you are in need of an electrician..!! read more

We had an electrical problem at our other house, we called Allan. He was late but we knew he was working at another job. We almost left the house but we sure glad we waited just a little more time for him. He fixed the problem really fast. We also mentioned to him that the garbage disposal was not working, he was able to fix it. We paid him a little bit extra for that but we save a lot because then we cancelled our appointment with the plumber the following day. He is great. Wish we had known him before. read more

I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on our Upland home but ADJ Electric. Allan has done an amazing job on our breaker box including replacing the main breaker and put in two grounded outlets plus a new exterior outlet for our koi pond. The owner is honest and knowledgable, he gives a fair quote up front and I can depend on the work. I highly recommend http://www.adjelectric.com/ for all of your electrical services and needs. read more

Things started out well with ADJ but took a serious turn for the worse as we continued to work with his company. First he installed some GFIs for us at a reasonable cost and no problems except he arrived over an hour late for the job. Then we requested quotes for the installation of two light fixtures and repair of an non-functioning outlet. The quotes seemed reasonable so we contracted for the work be done for the agreed upon price. For this work he brought an "assistant" who actually installed the 2 fixtures, and again, no problems there. ADJ spent the day working on the outlet but still wasn't able to fix it. Since it was clearly taking him a lot of time, I asked if the quote for the outlet repair would change at all, and I was satisfied when he said there would be no increase in the cost. He came a third time with a colleague and together they were finally able to fix the outlet. About an hour after they left, half of the outlets in our house blew out. ADJ came the next day to look at it and said the blowout was related to the circuit in our garage. He installed a new circuit and said the blowout wasn't related to any of the work he had just done. We found this to be a very odd coincidence to say the least. He promptly charged us in excess of $600 above the agreed upon price for the repair of the bathroom outlet and subsequent blowout. While my husband and I took time to discuss the charges and what we felt was fair, ADJ called me daily about the bill, and in less than a week from completion of the work, demanded payment in an extremely curt text. We reached a compromise on the cost but it was still $300 over what we originally agreed to pay. By this time we lacked any confidence in him and had another electrician come out to look at another issue with our porch lighting. This electrician examined the work in the garage and said it was completely unnecessary. We will not be working with ADJ electric again. read more
