The ADios Café was my top restaurant/café experience in Atlanta. The food, service, and atmosphere all made that possible. My order: - Southwest Omelette: What really sealed the deal for me to order this omelet was the diverse list of veggies and cheese in it (onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, corn, black beans, Mexican cheese, sour cream, and pan de queso). This combination of flavors was amazing and I loved it. The icing on the cake for me was saving the sour cream and pan de queso for last (the perfect combination). The pan de queso was so fresh, fluffy, and cheesy. If I could order a tray of those, I would. - Fruit Bowl: I was anticipating a bowl, but instead I received a large plate! The Mexican cream the fruit is served with made for a tasty and light dip. - Mayan Mocha: Although I love chocolate, I generally stay away from it in terms of ordering it in my coffee drinks. However, I ordered the Mayan Mocha because of its added spice in the form of chile de arbol. Prior to visiting ADios Café, I have not had a spicy coffee, and it was time for me to open that door. It was a good choice and it is something that I would order again. Next time I would ask for less mocha flavoring. The mocha used here was extremely rich. Personally, I do not prefer my coffee drinks to be overly sweet. Service: The service here was fantastic. I made it in two minutes before 2:00pm. The waitress told me that breakfast menu ends at 2:00pm, but she would be able to still take my order off that menu. I was pretty happy with that because then it led to me trying one of the best omelettes I have had at a restaurant. The waitress had a high sense of urgency in terms of speed of service. Love me a good Mexican breakfast. There is a variety on their menu...everyone was able to get something off the menu.

We didn't realize this was a part of no mas cantina so we were given the option to eat off their breakfast or lunch or even dinner menu. Not a big wait at lunch and the food came out quick. Karina was a fantastic server. The decor is beautiful and it's awesome you can buy so much art while you're there. There is plenty of free parking in the back so you don't have to park on the street. read more

The establishment is nice. It might be difficult to find parking as it is right in the middle of Downtown Atlanta. If you want to find authentic Mexican food, you may be disappointed. Personally, I did not enjoy the food very much. It was pretty bland and cold when brought out. The beans were very oily. There was a layer of oil on top of them. The meat was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning. The agua de horchata was powdered mix. I will unfortunately not be back. Service was okay. LOCATION & PARKING: Using Google Maps, one should have any trouble finding on Adios Cafe, which resides on the intersection of Walker and Hanes Streets. Plenty of street parking exists in the neighborhood. II. FOOD & DRINK: Like any breakfast establishment, they offer plenty of both savory and sweet options. I've both when I've visited each time: *Mexican Eggs Benedict ($11): The yolk (from their perfectly poached eggs), applewood bacon, green chile hollandaise (#life), and masa cake combine, for a fantastic bite. I like their take more than a traditional eggs Benedict, honestly. Their genius masa cake also has a soft, flavor-absorbant texture. *Blue Corn Hotcakes ($8): Three large hotcakes arrive topped with passion fruit butter and piloncillo syrup. Honestly, although good, I wouldn't recommend them. But hey, if you like hotcakes, then go ahead! **Mayan Mocha ($5): Consists of a double shot of espresso, milk, chocolate, and chile de arbol. PRICES: Maybe a dollar or two high, but nothing offensive. VI. OVERALL: Adios Cafe wouldn't serve as my first choice, for breakfast if I lived Downtown. I also wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Anyway, the first problem is that the place is inside a furniture/tchockie shop. That isn't a problem except the majority of the window is dedicated to the shop and I had a little trouble finding the place until I got out and walked to find the entrance. The stuff being sold in the shop looks interesting, though it is closed Mondays. As far as the restaurant. It is small but pleasant and nicely decorated. There is a small counter. There are pastries and artisan chocolates you can purchase. Service was relaxed but friendly. Place was basically empty on a Monday morning. I had the highly reviewed blue corn pancakes. They were good, but nothing special. They tasted good, but they didn't seem unique. Also had one potato cake which was actually just a small portion of shredded potatoes. They could've been crispy, but were kind of limp and soggy without much flavor. Got 2 orders of their bacon, which was regular supermarket style bacon - nothing fancy. You did get a lot, so one order is enough. They have mimosas that you can get with OJ or other juices like mango. I got the mango mimosas and they were great. The cafe Cubano I also ordered was decent, though was missing the lemon rind it should have to be a true Cuban espresso. UPDATE: Just tried the cajete blondie, the mango pie, and the cheesecake brownie. WOW! AMAZING! Definitely some of the most amazing desertsI have ever had in my life. read more

A bit out of the way, so much that it was a bit surreal when I drove up to the place for a Sunday morning brunch. It is a brightly decorated place full of character, colors, and Mexican music blaring on the speakers, that it was somewhat strange that it was located seemingly in the middle of nowhere during an empty Sunday morning at 10am. For the deliciousness of the brunch items, it's unfortunate that this place isn't very busy (at least Sunday morning). Could be a good or bad thing, but I thought it was awesome that we didn't have to wait long to be served. Our waiter also seemed a bit inexperienced and on the edge...the instant we were seated he asked us what we wanted to order, and he mixed up our orders, brought me the wrong item the first time and still had the order half-wrong the second time. What compensated for this was that our items came out relatively quickly. We ordered the Mayan mochas, which were okay. A bit too sweet, not sufficiently spicey, very chocolate-y and could barely taste the espresso in it. I had the Mexican eggs benedict, which was excellent. The corn cake (masa) that it came with was absolutely delicious and featured an interesting type of corn (not your usual yellow corn kernels) that lent a great flavor to it. My friend ordered the Adios, which was excellent as well and came with a generous scoop of sour cream. Every corner of Adios is packed with something to sell, whether it is the lantern hanging above your table, random Mexican toys or decor placed throughout the cafe and restaurant, or a glass case of chocolates and baked goods, all lending a charm to the place and making me wonder why the place isn't more popular. I also heard great things about the chocolates and cupcakes here, so I may be back to give those a try. If it weren't for the Scoutmob deal, I'm not sure if I ever would have come here, since it is a bit of a ways off from Atlanta's other shop/restaurant areas. The dishes are delicious here and reasonably priced at $6-9 each. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to grab a quick brunch Sunday morning, this is definitely a place to try. read more

It's been several months since I've been to my favorita downtown breakfast spot ADios Cafe and I really missed it. I've been coming here almost a decade so I'm a 'bit of a ADios Expert'. The menu has evolved recently and it really amazing. You won't find a Mexican breakfast place like this in the city. You start with amazing Organic Mexican coffee prepared many different ways including one that has chocolate and is spicy to boot. The French toast is like bread pudding you get in New Orleans and it is delicious. Service is second to none at this place and quite often the owners Walt and Steve can be found here conducting business. You are surrounded by Mexican art second to none in this state. The tables and chairs are all handmade from Mexico and I guarantee you, you won't walk out of this place without buying something at the gift shop. There usually isn't much of a wait for a table here. Say 'Hola' to Adios and I promise you, it will become your favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Atlanta. read more

What a special little coffee shop. Connected to the Los Mas! Cantina. Most of the decor is similar to the decor found in the rest of the cantina. I was going to order my usual latte when I noticed the Mocha Tamarindo, which was nothing like I had seen before. It was very chocolatey and had a strong tart tamarind flavor. It was a bit too sweet for me but it was a unique drink that I don't think I've heard of anywhere else. I took my drink to go but the seating looked plentiful and comfy, although most tables were made for smaller groups. 5 stars for ambiance and service! I felt like a tourist, admiring the art and decor of the place. Definitely worth a visit to check out this place. Parking is plentiful in the back. When I left, I saw signs for complimentary valet but I didn't think it was needed/necessary. The ADios was good, adaptable to the average American palate, I believe. It has potatoes (hash!), chorizo, green salsa (which I thought was just a-ok, would have preferred with the salsa, probably), etc. The best part of the meal was the Mayan mocha. My friend and I came here for breakfast and I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything on the menu sounded delicious. My friend and I decided to split the Mexican Eggs Benedict and the Nutella crepes. Both were delicious! I especially liked the crepes because they're made with plantains instead of bananas. I stopped in for an anticipated delicious breakfast. After not being greeted for a few minutes I was asked breakfast or brunch. I chose breakfast and continued to sit down. Again I sat waiting to place my order longer than any other breakfast spot, especially with it not being busy. After placing my ordering coffee hot chocolate came to me. (Surprisingly the best thing about the meal.) A while longer my food came out. The fruit bowl I asked to come out first was a plate of unripe Mellon and unripe pineapple along with some very sad/terrible looking grapes. Did not eat. The blue corn hotcakes were fine, nothing impressive. I did enjoy the passion fruit butter. I met up with a friend yesterday for brunch. If you didnt know Adios Cafe is attached to No Mas there is a small section for seating at the front of the restaurant that is first come first served, but you can receive service on the No Mas side as well just ask for the brunch menu. My friend & I had to be seated on the No Mas side & I must say service was not the best it took a while for our server to acknowledge us after the host seated us. Once she came over to the table you could barely hear her & her interactions with us were a little weird. She would stay gone for long periods of time without checking on us. I asked her a couple of questions about the menu and she couldn't really answer them. I think she must have been new. I did like the ambiance of the restaurant and the Mexican market it made me feel like I was back in Mexico. The food not so much it was okay, but far from authentic Mexican food. I ordered the breakfast burrito I subbed the eggs for egg whites (extra $1) and added bacon (extra $2) it came with a small scoop of guacamole and sour cream. I had to pick around some of the lettuce because some of it was already browning so definitely not fresh greens. My friend ordered the flautas appetizer and wasn't impressed. She said they were too dry and needed some cheese or sour cream. When she asked for a side of sour cream that was $1 extra. So FYI there is an extra charge for everything. All in all my food was decent and I left full, but I can't say I am in a rush to go back. read more

Best chai I've ever had! Got it with almond milk. The special coffee drinks they make are all amazing. We tried three of them. The coffee with cinnamon and cocoa (the Olla) is quite sweet--but really good. Bria, our server was casual, friendly and attentive. She even got me a band aid for my wife's paper cut. First stop in Atlanta for a filling breakfast before walking around all day. Fairly early morning on a Friday; not many people inside this GIANT establishment. It's easy to get lost in your surroundings here, as this place changes as the day goes on. Seems way more chill for breakfast; quickly getting a menu as we sat down. After much debate, got the Mexican Eggs Benedict ($11) and the Mayan Mocha ($4.50) to wash it down. Drink came out first, a rich mocha flavor accented by a big chili kick. The intense chili was surprising but overall went well together. Eggs came out next - two well poached eggs sitting on top of a masa cake, bacon, and tomatoes. The masa cakes reminded me of soft baked corn bread, which soaked up the runny eggs to make for a filling bite. Bacon is cooked crisp, providing a different texture to go along with the roasted tomatoes. Left this place perfectly satisfied, despite temptations on dessert. This is a unique Latin restaurant that I've been to. It has pretty authentic Mexican food, not stuff you usually see. I went for breakfast and had the ADios. It is a plate of hash browns and black beans with chorizo mixed in and topped with eggs and verde sauce. It was incredible. The flavors worked really well together and had the dish tasted very good. The corn pancakes they had didn't really seem like they were made of corn, and they weren't like arepas. It was just typical pancakes with some butter on top. The Mexican coffee also wasn't too great. It is supposed to be coffee with chocolate and cinnamon mixed in, but the coffee was water based which made the chocolate taste weird. The ambiance of the place was incredible. It really feels as if you're in Mexico. They have wonderful art and artifacts. They also have statues and plants all over the place. The furniture is also very beautiful and authentic. It's a refreshing atmosphere to do work and just eat. Our server was good but not great. She checked up and made small talk but wasn't really enthusiastic about it.
