The girl that helped me was very nice and checked her hand held for other colors in stock of the item that was suddenly canceled. She saw no others list and proceeded to re-order the item for delivery to my house. After that was done, out of curiosity I went to the area where the item would be stocked, just to see for myself that they suddenly had none. I found the items in question that they most certainly had in stock. Now it's too late and I have to wait to see if I actually get the item delivered. Moral to this unfortunate story, trust your gut, check for yourself, and just order online because the store employees are incompetent.

After striking out at the first couple stores, I did find something that I thought he would like at The North Face. It didn't hurt that this happens to be one of his favorite brands. Unfortunately this happens to be a North Face store at an outlet mall, not to be confused with a North Face Outlet, which this certainly is not. They did have some clearance, but that was a bit limited, though my find was on that rack (score!). Of course the item I wanted didn't have a tag and was the only one like it on the entire rack, but the cashier was able to use the info on the tags to get the price and get me on my way. Outside of that cashier, there was no greeting or interaction in the store with any employees and I noticed that the other cashier asked their customer if they had a rewards number, but I didn't get the same question.

I found the exact same coat here for $219 on sale for $40% off w/5.5% sales tax in WI. $219 X 60% = $131.40 X 5.5% (WI sales tax) = $138.63 out the door Sheeeet $180 - $138.63 = $41.37 difference & a 1hr drive to Kenosha WI vs 8hr to The Mall of America (NEVER AGAIN) 4 tanks of gas and a night in the hotel added to the cost.
