My bf has found some great deals and unique finds here. He's a sneakerhead for his personal tastes and nostalgia. He got 3 pairs our first time here and 2 pairs the second visit. There are also one of a kind personalized items that have been returned being sold for pretty good reduced prices. Only catch is finding them in your size and your willingness for some personalizations such as initials or things. Also gotta remember that clearance items are not returnable. Key word here is 'Clearance', so there are no returns (except for manufacturing defect). But man, this store had a lot of inventory, for men and women, clothes and shoes. It's worth coming to for outdated, but deeply discounted Nike gear. There are pretty much Nike stores everywhere where people shop; in most shopping malls and outlet locations. At the top of the retail chain, there are Nike Experience/Niketown stores, selling new and/or popular Nike branded items at MSRP, usually at high end retail areas like downtown chicago and beverly hills. The vast majority of Nike stores are the Nike outlets, usually located in outlet malls, selling past season items at discount. Early on, Nike was one of the branded stores we would stop into when going to a new outlet mall. But just like Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica, we moved to other brands...Nike was not a big enough needed brand to pay extra (even at the outlet mall). Nike Clearance Store - Gurnee Mills was the first Nike store of its kind that we went to. It takes consolidated large inventory of models and styles that the outlet locations could not sell. I did expect rock bottom prices, but very poor, picked-over inventory. Instead, the store was very well stocked. If you found a particular model that you wanted, you could find the right size and color since they had so much of it. I ended up buying 3 training long-sleeve shirts (DRI-FIT), all in different colors in my right size for $9.99 each (MSRP $30), plus an additional 10% off for joining their loyalty program with an email address. And if you go during a sale, everything in the store is an additional ?% off the marked down price. The associate that checked me out was very patient helping me sign up for the program. Yes, one could get these prices from a discounter like Marshall's, but you won't find such inventory and choices. I had an amazing experience here today. As you can see, I made out like a bandit. Amazing deals and selection. Eduardo was a great help on the floor and getting me in the fitting room. Angel was a fantastic cashier. I had so much stuff and between that and the coupon from the Nike app, there was a lot going on and he aced it. I saw the manager while checking out. This Nike store stays buisy it is the last stop for Nike in there store chain when getting rid of products. There are nice discounts when we went whole store was extra 30% off. I don't know if that is something they always do or not. This store is a must stop if you like a deal as products change frequently and prices were great! They have some decent stuff but if you don't make it before the resellers get there in the morning then you probably won't find anything unless it's for your kids. The resellers line up towards the back and get first dibs on the stock, so there are barely any shoes on the shelves anymore. This store used to be worth going to but now it's resellers first come first serve, all the good stuff doesn't even see the floor. If you don't believe me, go witness for yourself between 10am - 12pm during stock days. read more

After Achilles tendinitis darn near ruined my whole summer, I decided a new pair of running shoes were just what the doctor ordered (literally...) to get me motivated to hit the beaten path again. Much to the boy's chagrin, I drag him to Gurnee Mills. Hahahaha! Ladies, if you and your stubborn guy are having a tiff, simply bring him here. He'll apologize until next Tuesday, so long as you end his GM misery. Just keep that in your back pocket! But I digress, I needed shoes and a slew of work out stores spot this Switzerland-sized mall. No luck in the first few stores, and then the Nike Factory Outlet looms ahead. Last Sunday before school starts, and the store is still pretty organized, staffers are still helping customers, and merchandise is still a plenty. I choose my running shoes go to bed dreaming of being a size smaller tomorrow. Well that did not happen, nor did the shoes aide my recovery. In fact, they set me back a few weeks in P.T. Oh no! The policy is 30 day exchanges/returns no questions asked. Thank goodness! I take the shoes back and.... dammit. I forgot my wallet containing my I.D., credit card with purchase on it, everything. Enter my hero, sales manager Maj! (Maaj? Mag?) Like it was zero sweat for him, he took my shoes and info, and told me his work schedule so I could call and read my credit card info to him over the phone to complete the return. As promised, he was there on Monday at 1 p.m. and made the transaction a breeze. I was prepared for some slack from him, I mean let's be serious, I know I would have jeered the customer just a smidge for being so flighty, but he was perfectly professional and make my snafu an easy fix. 1 STAR FOR MANAGER AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The store is GREAT. You can find some UNBELIEVABLE sales and I've always had a decent experience dealing with the sales associates. I am a HUGE proponent of customer service. If a company provides good customer service, they will forever have my loyalty. I've dumped loads of money into Nike and have always had such a pleasurable experience, which made this run-in all the more dumbfounding. I purchased Flyknit Racers online. Nothing wrong with the shoes, just not the right fit. I went to the store to return the shoes. I completely understand technically accepting an online purchase is at the store's discretion, but let's rub our two braincells together and work this one out. I misplaced the card I used to make the online purchase. I just so happen to have a picture of the card, know the number/CVV code, and my state-issued ID matches the billing address of the card, where the shoes were shipped to, etc. The manager refused the return, as it was a "security issue" since the card was not physically present.....? She actually offered an exchange. What if I stole the items from someone's doorstep? Wouldn't an exchange be more of a security issue? How could a return be a security issue?! After already being VERY rude, I try to calmly explain my situation and reason with her, she turns her back and walks away. If the woman would have been a little more kind, offered an alternate solution, or really anything -- I wouldn't be so upset. She is such a poor representation of Nike, hence the one star rating. read more

Best spot to shop if you want to buy Nike clothes & shoes at a very cheap price! The store itself has a lot of products so it can be a little overwhelming. I personally love Nike & use their clothes for everyday lifestyle to the best sports bra I use while I gym it! So this place was heaven to me. I'm born and raised a Nike kid, so a Nike store is right up my alley. Outside of the Nike Clearance store in Johnson Creek, this is my favorite Nike store. I always find something I like in here, although it's not always what I want. This last time was one example, I came in to buy a pair of black sneakers and a pair of track pants to run/ bum around in. I found 2 pairs of sneakers almost instantly, but much to my dismay the whole store was filled with shorts, which is abnormal considering last Spring I picked up 2 pair of track pants from a large selection. There was only a quarter of a rack of DriFits in the store, which they didn't have any in my size, even if they did those aren't the most comfortable pants. There's still deals to be had, I grabbed a pair of Nice Jordan's for $70 and I saw some Bears Jerseys for $30, which I almost bought to burn in effigy since I'm a Packers fan. read more

The store was clean and organized. I was able to find shoes on my own and got them for a good deal. I was offered help by two separate employees. The cash wrap was relatively quick, considering it was busy. Overall I was pleased with my experience. Hopefully I found the right shoes. But at least I can wear them for 30 days and if I don't like them I can take them back. read more
