I just want nice looking jeans, button down shirts, and 1/2 zip and hoodie sweatshirts to fit right. For awhile, some stores had good clothing for plus size people. Kohl's carried a couple brands that were stylish and fit well, but then they stopped carrying them only to re-introduce those same brands with ill-fitting plus size options. Marshall Field's had a few items which became Macy's, and they had fewer still. The Winston Box, a monthly subscription mail order service boasts a way to find great options for any plus size and truthfully, they never sent items that fit well. However, DXL (a.k.a. Destination XL) has always had options that work well with my body type. I'm a Polo fan and not a big fan or their house brand, Harbor Bay. With that being said, Harbor Bay's t-shirts and jackets are awesome and fit great. DXL always has new options and brings in new brands that offer nice options such as Vineyard Vines, Psycho Bunny, Robert Graham, and more. Lately, I love the Lucky Brand jeans as they fit so well, and recently purchased the softest, most comfortable Vineyard Vines hoodie (actually, wearing both the hoodie and jeans right now). Plus, DXL offers workout closes, casual clothes, dress clothes, suits, shoes, and accessories. Lastly, the Vernon Hills location (close to me) has such a wonderful staff. Over the years, their staff has changed, but they are very friendly and always offer to help you find what you're looking for or are happy to remains hands off and let you do your own shopping. And they remember you whether you frequent them often or your visits are limited to a few times a year. I hardly visit any other store and if they don't have something in their store, they are happy to reach out to other locations to help you find your size and color you desire. I love this place!

I may be misguided, but I don't think you want to be compared to Kohl's. Or Shaw's. and the half-priced dress shirts I can only hope they brought in to sell full-priced shirts because they were laugh out loud funny. Like purple and black cross , really large squares, odd colors. it did a disservice to have them in the store. some one might buy them. Talbots and Brookes Brothers have a good name because you can buy anything the sell. Here, some clothes are dangerous like buying at target or walmart. I might go back. a bit meh, but I left with what I needed, but at at 150% of what I expected.

This is for our engagement photo shoot. My fiancé went in today to try it all on and OMG. The pants did not fit right, the shirt is baggy, the jacket looks baggy and the tie is a clip on. It was disgusting. What was worse was that there were two men working there today and they were so rude. My fiancé told them that it doesn't fit correctly and all they could say was "there is nothing we could do". That is not what the lady before has said. This place is not transparent. Also they should tell someone that it is going to be a clip on tie. They did a half ass job on the suit. This was a one and done type place. I would rather burn my money than spend it here.

I…read morelove H&M but sizing and quality can be hit or miss, so I often have to return at least a few things from online ordering. This is a pretty good-sized store and it's well-organized with a good selection. However, returns are kind of annoying (not this location's fault, but H&M's fault as a whole). While I was returning a few items from my online order in store, I noticed something from my order that I had purchased a few days before had gone on clearance. I loved the item so obviously I didn't bring it to the store because I wasn't planning to return it. But, they had the exact same size and color as the one that I had purchased on the floor, and I had my order form with me (because I was returning other stuff). They wouldn't do a price adjustment because it was a clearance item, so instead I rebought the item in-store and then tried to return it with my old receipt. That didn't work, because apparently every individual item has a different SKU, even if they are identical. I've never seen that happen in a store before (especially a fast-fashion store).

Still one of my favorite stops. This is like shopping in a dear friend's great closet. Although the store is tiny, the variety always surprises me, and the service can't be beat. I find interesting items I find nowhere else, and while their prices are consistent with other stores, their sale items make them more affordable. There is even a comfortable place to sit! I have purchased tops, purses, outerwear, scarves, jewelry, and other items. Easy to miss since it is north of Casa Bonita and before the train tracks, up a couple of stairs. But with such a uniquely-vintage location and terrific items and service, it is worth the extra steps. Easy parking right in front, or in the copious parking lots around the corner on Lake Street.
