I did notice that some of the sale sweaters may not last too long plus I noted some loose thread of some other pieces of clothing. Since there was a winter storm, the store and mall was not busy at all. They did run out of bigger bags so we had to stuff everything into multiple thin plastic bags. One of the salespeople was pretty friendly and pointed out a few cute jackets that were on sale. The self service kiosk was easy to navigate. Make sure you keep your receipt on hand since you need to scan the barcode when you leave. I definitely will return again since the price point was great.

(True story!) The formally $10, now $12 jeans are SO comfortable, I have even slept in them if I didn't dirty them by leaving the house. They wash really well and even stand up to my thunder thighs rubbing. They do need to be replaced after some time, but definitely far beyond what I would feel is a fair time for $12. Their men's section of sweaters carried me through the holidays (I taught my kid clothes are clothes and I don't like the cropped look of their women's sweaters for me) with an Irish looking sweater for $20 that is so warm that I didn't even wear a coat to the downtown symphony! In a Midwestern winter! I got 5 sweaters and 2 pairs of jeans for about $100! AMAZING! The clothes, even though they are affordable, wash well. The sweaters do not pill and I dry them by laying them flat so I have not experienced shrinkage either. The jeans are stretchy and move with me. I rocked a pair to a slide park and I was happy with my choice. The staff is usually pretty friendly and will help when necessary. My card was having issues so he helped me check out and the next time my receipt bar code would not scan to let me out of the self checkout area and I was helped right away. They have collegiate wear (Harvard), pop culture wear (Stranger Things, the Simpsons, Billie Eilish, Disney), and sports teams (Chicago Bulls) at affordable prices. Since my favorite blue doored store near where I live closed, this has become my go to for jeans, statement pieces, and dress up clothes!

Prices are higher these days, but still good compared to non-outlet prices, and the selection is solid. We came looking for a decent deal on some vans and she found a cute pair in her size on sale. I was seeing some shorts and other stuff I'd like to come back and get for myself soon. They get some really cool clothing here as well as the shoes, so it's fun to check out what's trending seasonally. I actually got one of my favorite jackets here years ago. We were asked at least once if we needed any help and checkout was smooth. So, decent service. On a side note I always appreciate the music in this place, it's my style. My friend commented that it reminded her of "Charming Charlie but with more clothes"...& indeed, it turns out their space is a former Charming Charlie! Clothes were cute yet didn't skew too young (stores I used to reliably shop at, like Dry Goods, are now all crop tops and babydoll lengths). I tried on an armful of things and ended up with a top and a sweater, both for what I felt were reasonable prices. My only complaints stem from the dressing room. They put us together in a larger room, which is totally fine. But i guess nothing indicated that the room was occupied because staff kept knocking on the door, either to see if we were still in there or if we needed anything. Once or twice, okay, but this was like 5 or 6 times....maybe put up a sign? Also, the dressing room lighting, from two sconces and a small chandelier, was "moody" at best... need to up the wattage a bit so people can see those potential purchases! Staff was helpful, especially Lisa. I would definitely come back, and found out there are other locations closer to me, too! She said they get new merch on Wednesdays, so gives me an excuse to check out one of the other shops soon.

Nightlights, blankets (those super soft ones that feel amazing), bow ties for your little girls, costume jewelry, hair accessories, home decorations, EVERYTHING. Lots of great quality things at bargain prices. I suggest you come here before you go to the big box stores to save you tons of money. I also recommend coming here if you are and avid crafter, making a costume, setting up a party, getting a bulk amount of hair accessories, and quince supplies. If you go during busy hours, of course expect to wait a long time if you want to try on anything. If you find anything you want, buy it quickly as things sell out fast. If you are lucky enough to find something on sale in your size, snatch it up. The store is well organized but a lot of the popular sizes do sell out quickly in preferred styles. Checkout is still relatively fast because it's so automated with you being to just put everything in and the machines do all the work for you. I did an online in store purchase and was waiting a while as there was an extra associate who was able to help, but didn't acknowledge me until the other lead at the register told him to assist me. If you do purchase online and need to do a return in store, they will just give you a gift card as they won't credit your original card.

It's is a very large discount retail store with inventory across many categories, from clothing and accessories to home goods and personal care. It's comparable to a Ross or TJ Maxx. I enjoy shopping at stores like this because you can usually find solid bargains if you're willing to look. They carry a wide range of fashion styles at reasonable prices. Most items feel fairly unique -- you're not typically seeing racks of the exact same piece. At most, there might be a couple duplicates per size. So how does it compare to Ross or TJ Maxx? For clothing, I like Ross & Burlington's prices and selection. Burlington carry a good mix of styles and sizes. However, for skincare, personal care items, and casual jewelry, I prefer TJ Maxx. And for home décor, HomeGoods is still my go-to because they offer the widest variety. One thing Burlington does especially well during the holidays is gift wrap -- they offer extensive selection of wrapping paper for $8 -10 and these some of the largest rolls you'll find for that price! Now for the part that makes me cautious. About a year ago, I returned an item on behalf of my mother that was past the 30-day return window. The associate processed the return without clearly explaining the outcome beforehand. When I looked at the receipt, I saw that we were credited less than half of what was originally paid. I asked why, and she explained that once an item is returned past 30 days, the store credit / refund amount is at the store's discretion and may be significantly reduced. I understand that businesses have policies. However, I looked carefully at the signage, the receipt, and the posted return information at the register, and nowhere did it clearly state that late returns could result in a drastically reduced credit at their discretion. I even spoke with a manager, who confirmed this was corporate policy. That's fine -- but it should be clearly communicated and disclosed BEFORE completing the transaction. Had I known we would receive less than half back, I likely would have kept the item for my mother instead. We didn't need such a lowly refund. But once the return was processed, it couldn't be undone. I had return-remorse and would have preferred to not essentially "pay" the store more than half of what we originally paid to TAKE BACK inventory. I would have just kept the item instead if I was offered a choice and was told ahead that I'm getting only $3 back because for that price, I'd just keep the item and find a use for it. That experience didn't feel transparent, and it left a bad impression. Since then, I've recalibrated my expectations. I still shop here occasionally, but I'm very mindful of return timelines. I have noticed that they now display clearer signage near the checkout explaining that late returns may receive reduced credit/refund, so that's definitely an improvement in communication. Overall, this is still a solid place to hunt for bargains, especially for clothing and seasonal items. Just be very aware of the return policy and timelines so there are no surprises. A couple additional tips: There is a fitting room area toward the back of the store, but it's often closed. There's a sign directing you to the fitting rooms near the front entrance, somewhat hidden behind the purse section (see photos). It's a small setup with two adjacent rooms, and you're limited to six items at a time. Depending on the day, there may be a wait. On my most recent visit, I chose not to wait and brought items home to try on instead. Bonus tip: If you register your phone number in their system, you get an additional 15 days for returns (a total of 45 days). They can also process returns using your phone number without a physical receipt. There isn't a points rewards system, but those are the main perks.
