EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT DESERVES TO BE RECOGNIZED!…read more I have owned a restaurant in this area for years, and I know firsthand what outstanding customer service looks like. I can honestly say that my experience at Dick's Sporting Goods in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, was one of those experiences that reminds you what customer service is SUPPOSED to be. I stopped in because I'm preparing to run two 5Ks this weekend. After losing an incredible 206 pounds, my body has changed, and I've discovered that things I thought I knew about myself--including what size shoes I wear--aren't necessarily what I thought they were! That's where Zach in the shoe department came in, and WOW. This young man was absolutely phenomenal. I tried on nearly 15 pairs of shoes, and not once did Zach make me feel like I was taking too much of his time, being difficult, or asking too much of him. He was patient, attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping me find the RIGHT shoe--not simply getting me into a pair and moving on to the next customer. Because of Zach's help, I discovered that I had been wearing the wrong shoe size for who knows how long! He helped me determine that I actually wear a size 10.5 instead of a size 12. That is a HUGE difference, and something I never would have figured out on my own. But what impressed me most wasn't just his knowledge of shoes. It was the way he treated me. He made me feel comfortable, never rushed me, listened to what I needed, and made the entire experience enjoyable. When you're going through significant changes in your body, even something as simple as shopping for shoes can be a different experience. Zach handled everything with a level of kindness, patience, and professionalism that truly stood out. As a local restaurant owner, I understand how important employees are to a business. You can have a great location, great products, and great prices, but the people who represent your business are what make customers want to come back. Zach is exactly the kind of employee every business hopes to have. I made sure to speak with his manager before I left because I wanted her to know just how exceptional he was. Zach deserves every bit of recognition he can get for the way he represented Dick's Sporting Goods. To Zach: Thank you for going above and beyond, for your patience with all those shoes, and for making what could have been an ordinary shopping trip into a genuinely memorable experience. You made a difference, and I hope you know that. To management: Whatever you're doing to develop your employees, keep doing it. And please make sure Zach knows that his efforts are noticed and appreciated. People like him are an asset to your store, and exceptional customer service like this deserves to be celebrated. If every customer received the kind of service Zach gave me, businesses wouldn't have to work nearly as hard to earn loyal customers. Five stars without a second thought. I came in looking for running shoes for my 5Ks this weekend, but I left with something even better: a reminder that outstanding customer service is still alive and well. Thank you, Zach! You absolutely crushed it!

Nathan took the time to have me hit a bunch of different clubs (drivers, fairway woods, and irons). This helped me decide which clubs worked best for me. I ended up with a full set as well as a Sun Mountain new golf bag (with built in cooler LOL). A great experience and a great price. If your in need of any clubs - work with Nathan - he will take care of you!

Don't miss the best thrift/vintage shop in Milwaukee!!…read more If you need cool boots, Sole Salvation is the authority. Vintage dresses & coats, oh yeah! Fine quality leather, biker vests, and jean jackets, totally! They even have neat jewelry from local artists, estate sales, & older pieces that are perfect for cosplay or a night on the town. If you want clip on earrings that are affordable & hip, they got those too. For a smallish location with tight hours, I can't believe how much value they have packed into one location. It's just off brady on Humboldt, right next to Art Smart's Dart Mart. Ooh, plus if you catch them at the right time, often their selection will include 50% off sales, which is a godsend to an artist on a budget. The staff is incredibly knowledgable, & they have been really sweet to me on rainy days. They even have had some epic vintage jerseys that got snapped up before I could snag em myself. If you're there, don't forget to check out the cool stuff in back & to look up! The whole place is a throwback to the glory days of Milwaukee vintage. I try to get down there at least once a month.

There was a ton of clothing, and some purses, shoes, and jewelery. All at a steal of a price! They also have a formal wear area and some very nice fur and leather coats in the section further to the back. The best part of our trip to the store was Debbie. She was so very nice and I had just the best time ever chatting it up with her. If you're into great prices and wonderful people, I highly recommend stopping by. :)

And conveniently located right in lake Geneva! I walked in intending to get new skis and boots and walked out with a great pair of used skis with bindings which he did not need to do..he could of sold me new skis but he listened and knows when to proactively give suggestions without being pushy and it turns out the used skis were exactly what I wanted! Jayson is a real genuine guy that listens! He has a lot of knowledge and after the purchase of the boots I came back and did a custom fit because of a few pressure points in them which made skiing unbearable..after an hour I had a custom fit on the liners of my boots and they are SO COMFORTABLE NOW. During the whole process he graciously explains what he is doing and the reasons for it which made the whole experience seamless. I love my new skis and boots and I cannot wait to put them to good use. Most ski shops near Chicago or Milwaukee do not offer what board shop has and that is QUALITY Service..and a listening ear. They actually care; which sets them apart and really is "gold standard" for ski shops which is rare. Thank you Jayson you're doing it right!! So happy this is so close to home.
