One of the biggest frustrations is the layout: instead of being able to stroll from store to store, you constantly have to get in and out of your car and drive from one shopping center to another. It really takes away from the enjoyment of outlet shopping and makes the whole day feel more like running errands than browsing. Another downside is the taxes. Whatever savings you think you're getting from outlet pricing quickly shrink once you see what you're paying in tax. It feels like a big chunk of the "discount" disappears at the register, which defeats the purpose of going to an outlet in the first place. Lastly, the number of vacant stores is hard to ignore. Whole sections look empty, and it gives the area a run-down feel. It also limits your options and makes the trip less worthwhile if the stores you came for simply aren't there anymore. Overall, the Kittery Outlets had potential, but the inconvenient layout, high taxes, and increasing number of vacant storefronts makes the experience far less appealing than it used to be.

There's even a children's play center that you pay for the day and you and your kid can come and go to take a break from shopping. There are multiple strip malls divided along a busy road but that's probably the only downside. My favorite feature? An actually very well set up nursing room (as in breastfeeding). Right next to the bathrooms but tucked further back down the hall so no one is walking by, window with darkened glass, a blind you can pull down, a LOCK on the door, comfortable seating, a TV and a changing table! I've been in a few of these nursing rooms since having my kids and this is the only one that I feel like actually provides what I need! So much credit to whoever set this up!

While not everything they make is, some is better than some shoes companies that make everything elsewhere. Even better than just the USA is the fact some of that made in the USA is in our great home state of Maine! Workers greeted us upon walking in and a different friendly worker was walking around offering help/assistance to us and everyone else. Willing to grab or look for any sizes not on the floor. Top notch customer service by her! While I do wish the deal they were running was even better we did luck out with buy one get one 50%. In the end each of us buying a pair of shoes was a solid deal. As soon as my wife put on a couple different pairs she thought they were some of the most comfortable shoes she has had. This is very important as she is on her feet all day at work on concrete so needs quality shoes that are comfortable. Thankfully we both found great shoes here for a decent deal. I definitely do not believe there is such a thing as having too much. And I can bet on it that most of the people here today at Kittery Trading Post feel the same way. Yes, the prices are mostly MSRP and sometimes higher. Yes, you can most likely (99% of the time) get a better deal elsewhere (especially online). But where can you actually have the opportunity to TOUCH everything or be likely seduced to WANT more because you weren't aware that such an item even existed? Here, at KTP, that is exactly what happens. You think you have a particular item in mind? How about being thrown more options that most other stores even dream of carrying? Thought you liked something online? How about holding that item in person and deciding if it is the right fit for just a fraction more of the price (and avoid the need to make returns for the most part?) How about being swayed into another product because you "apparently" didn't research it enough to realize there are even BETTER options that fit your exact needs (or because it's more expensive and you can justify it in person, lol)? They usually have events every weekend as well to drive visitors to their store so it's pretty busy all thr time. Belive it or not, C&B is one of the only stores in the area that do this! My list- 10 dinner plates, 10 small plates, 10 cereal / soup bowls. I also got 8 pasta bowls. That is all I needed. I decided on the Marlin Slate Blue dishes. Very nice color and quality. THey did have alot to choose from, BUT 80% of them were white. Not many colored ones,and/ or none with patterns (all solid colors). Peter assisted me and he was the bomb! He knows his job well and and was extreamly knowledgable, pleasant and helpful. I am not sure the price points from via the website to the regular non clearance stores but I thought that the prices were regular prices and not a "deal" if you will. The pasta dishes I wanted were not in the inventory so they will ship them to me ($18 charge) but no sales tax as they are being shipped to my NH address. My total today was $404.02

We were greeted upon walking in and they let us know everything in store was 50% off. In general I think Under Armour makes quality stuff that typically will last awhile. My wife definitely took advantage of the deal they were running and snagged 4 things for under $70 and one of them was suppose to be $60 by itself. We both will be keeping this place in mind for athletic wear needs in the future. Likely won't have the 50% off that often but if we are in the area we will check their offerings again. The only real negative I noticed was when we were waiting in the check out line, one particular staff member. The two cashiers were friendly and appeared to be working hard, but a customer checking out must have paid with a large bill and they did not have the correct bills for change in the drawer. Then I suspect a manager came over to assist and needed to go out back to grab the cash. Despite the ever growing line waiting to check out, the manager had almost no rush and very much took their time. Just a little surprised by this. Overall we will return and would visit this spot over other Under Armour locations.
