The grocery has always been clean without that dirty mop smell (Safeway). Produce is great, and the guys at the meat counter are awesome. Seriously, the staff are all friendly and helpful... I think even the shoppers are nicer. :-) The Starbucks layout is also better than Safeway, multiple people can get to the mixing station vs being cramped in a tiny afterthought area. Although the seating area can get in the way. -1 for the self checkout; I really wish it'd be a 15 items or less area. I constantly see shoppers ringing up a full(er) cart and a long line of people with their hands full (no cart or basket).

Not a good first impression walking in the door! In the past 3 months I've bought meat, chicken and fish that have been expired or bad - and only discovered that the meats were bad when I cooked them. The expiration dates were still valid dates on the label, yet I feel like the dates were adjusted. The third time this occurred I returned the spoiled Smithfield pork loin and the lady at customer service tried to make me the guilty culprit for the bad meat. She insinuated that I hadn't prepared the meat correctly. NO- your store is selling expired meats and fish with fake expiration dates on the label. I've decided to drive to the other Harris Teeter off of Carpathia near Gainesville to purchase my meats, chicken and fish. No bad meat or fish since making this change of stores. I will use Bristow store for a quick run to pick up a canned good or produce. I don't even buy dairy like yogurt also due to expired products in the cold cases. I've spoken with the manager and I've taken expired products to customer service to show they have expired products. No big deal to these clerks- it's the customers fault it's expired! Buyer be aware of the fish counter and the meat cooler for questionable product! Thankful for a clean and caring Harris Teeter on Carpathia, near Gainesville.

I was very impressed with the quality and volume of everything that I got, especially compared to how affordable it is. I love that 4P Foods has made the process of getting food via CSA so easy and convenient. You can get local veggies, meat, dairy, and pantry items for a really good price, no more than you would pay at the grocery store, and I feel great knowing that I am supporting local farms. It's really easy to put in my order, select what I want each Saturday and then just sit back and wait for my delivery. I also love the recipes that they send for ideas on dishes to make. The delivery is made to my front door, which is huge considering that I live in an apartment. I have definitely recommended to all of my friends!

My pint of blueberries arrived fully crushed and I reach out to the team to see what they could do. And within minutes, I had a response from my initial point of contact and the customer care associate. 4p foods has been such a bright spot during a time in our country where systemic racism continues to impact many Black people and other marginalized communities. Participating in a sustainable food source and cooking a plant-based diet are ways that I am resisting the impact of capitalism on black bodies. I would love to see more foods sourced from black owned farms in the region.

There were no hand baskets at the front of the store. By the time I got back to the dairy section next to the bakery, my arms were overflowing. I took a chance and asked her if she may per chance have a basket and she offered a cart in the back. She stopped her busy re-stocking of artisan breads to pull the cart from the back and assisted me in placing my items into the cart. Before that, the seafood assistant directed me to this area for the deli. Such a great experience on my first visit to this store that I drove 20mins away from my home to. The deli was limited in the varieties, but honestly, this is not necessary because the meats there are quality meats. I was in line and before I knew it, another deli attendant asked me if I needed assistance. She verified the meat that I wanted sliced and did not skip a beat in how she asked me if I wanted to sample it or holding up the slice to confirm the size of the slice. She was a cheerful person as was everyone in the store. The original cashier was asked to go to the manager for something by a young man that continued to check out the customers in that lane. He was extremely efficient and cheerful while moving through the items and bagging them. I felt very welcome as a customer and he was patient as I pulled out coupons and paid for my purchase. He asked if I needed help getting the purchases to my car. What a delight! Final analysis: I made a 20 minute trip and got a little lost (having to drive through another grocery store lot elsewhere to get back on track) to get to this store. I was determined to take the extra time since it was a weekend and get out and about with this being the final destination. I'm glad that I did! It exceeded my expectations in comparison to neutral feedback I had read about. There were ample sales. I enjoyed the staff and products and will continue to go out of my way to shop at this store.

The meat and seafood quality isn't the greatest. Store lacks quality products and good deals.read more

All the staple sections are there. The store was super clean which is always a super plus in my book! I noticed they have more premade and ready to cook selections than some of the other locations. The precut fruit was looking fantastic as well. The slow ambiance filled music playing in the background will have you wondering if you should be slow dancing in the aisle as the store is dimly lit on the inside. The bonus was I had a hard time finding taco shells of all things. As I stood in the middle of aisle 8 and asked a gentleman who was stocking the shelf if he worked there her responded no but he does so I turn around and the other gentleman stops and says how can I help you ma'am. I advised I was looking for taco shells and it was like he was in unison with the music as he replied aisle 16. Taco shells in hand, made my way to the checkout and was on my way. They do have several self check outs for use if you like to ring up your own groceries but as for me, I still go through the regular check out lines, you know, to help save jobs.
