Great selection and nice people. I called in advance to see if they stocked an item and they were very helpful.

It's everything you want from a place that just sells cool rocks. It feels like old America, like it's been here since the 50s. It has a small-ton vibe, transporting really. It's got lots of cool sparkly, shiny, colorful, blows-my-mind-this-forms-on-its-own things to look at and touch. At the center of all of it is a proprietor who completes the experience. Magnifying goggles sit atop of his head at all times, like they live there, ready at any time to inspect the mineral in front of him. He possesses seemlingly infinite enthusiasm for conversation about the objects in his shop, as if a sale is less a transaction and more an act of sharing. I've noticed he seems to spontaneously mark items down as he's wrapping and loading them carefully in the bag, just because. If I'm writing a movie and the feds need a geological genius to help solve a mystery, this is the guy they call. It's super fun to browse. You might even find yourself among the enthusiasts who shuffle through, buying minerals to complete some collection. A must-stop in the Downtown Carrollton square.

Being first time newbs, Jay was super thoughtful & helpful in educating us on the various types of cards and recommending a few options. We were super appreciative of the staff making our boys first card store experience such a memorable one. We'll definitely be back!

My…read more9-year old was desperate to get some new booster packs but our local Best Buy and Gamestop were all sold out. I called the number listed and the automated message said to text the number instead for faster response. So I did and someone replied right away and after I told him what I was looking for, he quickly confirmed they had it in stock and told me to get down there! It's a super tiny shop in a shopping plaza but inside, it's a Pokemon treasure trove. So many cards and boxes. I'm a bit lost on the Pokemon culture, but my boys were going nuts when they saw some rarer stuff. One of the rarer cards was going for $300! "Geeking Out" doesnt even begin to describe what my boys were going through. We ended up buying a few booster packs of the new Destined Rivals series and I guess that purchase qualifed us to play a bonus game. They had a setup behind the counter where you got to toss a ping pong ball and if you got it into a certain cup, you would win the prize that was written on the cup. My 9-year old's toss was right on the money and he plopped the ball right into one of the cups and the entire staff lost their minds cheering for him. His grin was HUGE. My 6-year old - bless his little heart - missed all the cups. The owner came around the counter and showed my 9 year old what he won - a free pack of limited edition cards. He turned to my 6-year old and said he didn't want him to feel left out so he grabbed another pack and handed it to him. My boys were so over-the-moon. All these things just added up to one of the best consumer experiences I've ever had. This is the reason you should go to an independent shop like this instead of a souless, big-box store. We are already talking about going back this weekend to get more pokemon cards.
