Worst Building I Ever Lived - Leaving Soon!!…read more This is another review about this terrible, terrible building, written after just a simple New England downpour for about 15 minutes and water started to come back up from the AC condensation drainage pipe - the same pipeline that froze in the winter and flooded my apartment. So this is the second time my bedroom got flooded! I am going into the last year of my lease and the at this point, still some amenities are not functional. Again I confronted the building manager before and she yelled back "you are not paying for the amenities, they are given to you because us as a company is being nice to you". I am planning to write more about my experience here so future tenants will not fall into this trap. Anyone knows where other platforms to write apartment reviews?

Under a great deal of pressure to find a place in Boston, I gave a call to Point 180 and spoke with…read moreChristina, the property manager. She was incredibly helpful, flexible, and truly cares about her clients. While I was unable to see the exact floor plan in person, she brought us into two other apartments to show the additional features included in the apartment I will be renting. We toured the building: which offers the amenities that stand out from the other apartment complexes closer to the city. Located in Malden Center, it's a 15 walk to the orange line T, and when the snow hits -- there's a gym, social area, and covered parking to ease anxiety and facilitate working from home. I am so excited to live at Point 180 -- primarily because I know that the tenants are taken care of under the excellence and attentiveness of Christina, the property manager, and the location is in a safe, adjacent location to the city. Christina is extremely professional, understands people, and empathizes with her prospective clients. A pleasure to work with, I recommend Point 180 because of the property amenities, and especially the management.

Do NOT rent from this company. We deal with the 100 state street office with Jan Bennett and Janyce…read moreButler and they are the absolute worst. You cannot get a phone call or email back. They stole 1400 from our security deposit. Boston has very strict rules on what landlord can withdraw from a security deposit and they prayed on our money during a pandemic when some of us have lost our jobs, needed our security deposit back and charged us $480 for a professional cleaner and $300 for trash removal even though we left nothing in our apartment. In MA landlord CANNOT charge you a cleaning fee. They will not return our phone calls or emails demanding for our money back. They stated we broke certain items in the apartment and when I asked for pictures they decided to tell me the items were actually not broken but missing. We had issues with our tenants who lived below us, one time one of the males climbed onto our deck in the middle of the night. I had woken up and saw him through my window and thought someone was breaking in. We contacted the landlord and she did nothing, said she doesn't handle that unit but would send an email about it. She never followed back with us. When we requested pictures of the apartment after moving out to understand why they charged us so much we found out that the tenants below had snuck into the now vacant apartment and brought yard chairs and was using the space as a hangout. Although we moved out this was incredibly alarming and the landlord should have done something sooner. The landlord tried to charge us for the furniture left even thought it was not ours and clearly our safety was never an issue to them. Do not give these people your money, find apartment buildings elsewhere. TRUST ME, I've heard similar stories from people who have rented from them. UPDATE: I finally got in contact with Kirk Bennett after Jan and Janyce wouldn't email me back after sending several emails. Kirk completely gaslighted me, told me I was being ridiculous, when I informed him of the security deposit laws of MA/asked to see an invoice or receipt from the cleaning services that cost $480 he hung up on me. Do NOT rent from these people, they are awful.

I have received notices before via email and text so it is strange that I did not receive it this time. For example, I received email and text messages for the fire alarm testing that occurred a few months ago. If there was some sort of mistake or error with the alert system I would understand but property management staff just brushed me off saying they did everything they needed to do even though I did not receive any such notices.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I want to be honest about my personal experience at…read moreEverly. For months, I made repeated phone calls, left multiple voicemails, and sent multiple emails, and I still could not get a timely response. From the start, I felt ignored and dismissed, and that set the tone for everything that followed. After I signed the lease, I expected things to improve, but they did not. I was given no notice that the garage would be paved, and I moved in with a U-Haul full of furniture only to find the garage closed, and the area congested with cars along the one-way. For weeks, I was stuck parking outside in the elements on a narrow street while still paying for two garage spots and expensive monthly parking fees on top of high rent. That was a frustrating way to start living somewhere that is supposed to be a luxury apartment community. On move-in day, my apartment was not even cleaned yet. The floors were dirty, and there was still leftover material from what appeared to be a previous tenant. I was forced to leave my furniture, clothes, and other belongings in the hallway until the apartment was cleaned. That was an unacceptable way to begin living there. I also personally dealt with the smoking policy not being enforced. I regularly smelled weed in the building, and there were times when the fire alarm went off late at night and in the early morning hours. In my experience, the alarms were not shut off until the fire department arrived. An email notice went out, but I did not see any real enforcement after that. I also found mold on the dryer when I moved in, which I had to clean myself, and that should not be something a resident has to handle in an expensive apartment. The walls were very thin, so walking and stomping from the apartment above could clearly be heard. Pet waste was also regularly found outside, and notices seemed to go out without much actual follow-through. The maintenance staff was the one positive part of my experience because they were quick and helpful. Other than that, I would not live here again. After moving out, I was transferred to a manager about my security deposit, but I still did not get a returned call or voicemail back. I never received clear communication about my deposit, and even now I am still being ignored.

The apartments are clean and comfortable, and the common areas are modern, welcoming, and very well maintained. The maintenance crew deserves special mention, as they have been consistently friendly, respectful, and quick to respond whenever we've needed assistance. We do have a few pending maintenance items, but the team has been working with us to address everything step by step. Overall, we appreciate the effort and communication so far. I'm hopeful everything will be resolved soon and look forward to updating this review with good news.

I don't usually write reviews but, my experience warrants one! Incompetent leasing team. Right from…read morethe beginning I could never get anyone on the phone, emails weren't returned and this was before I moved in. Once I moved in, I experienced a maintance staff person leave my lights on for 12 hours but, he locked the door behind himself?? But, lights were too much to shut off? I noticed a brown stain on the closet ceiling, I was told "that's an old water leak." It was painted over. Then it resurfaced, now the maintance team cut out drywall, which crumbled in their hands, doesn't that speak to an active water leak?? new dry wall up then painted over yet again! Then I notice black mold going across my ceiling. I was already on a medical leave, I didn't need my apartment to make me sick! Then the plumber comes in, water is indeed dripping from a pipe, so active water leak! I took a video of it. Then, I dealt with drywall going up again, more painting. I had reported this building to the city for overflowing trash rooms where I couldn't put my trash into the room as too much was on the floor. I have videos and pictures of all my experiences. I would come home late at night and find loud music and a party in progress in the lobby area along with propped open doors so their friends could enter. Amenity spaces only go until 10 pm. Propped open doors are a safety issue!! The garage gate in the back of the building in the upright open position meant people could access the building and they did!! On and On the issues went!! But, nobody seemed to care! Currently I am two months past when my security deposit should have been returned. MULTIPLE emails sent including to the ceo and founder of Greystar Properties. DO NOT MOVE TO A GREYSTAR PROPERTY IS MY BEST ADVICE!! ps Anyone talking about how lovely the building looks, well that's very nice but, that doesn't affect quality of life issues such as what I experienced.

I personally had a pretty terrible experience with this property in three primary ways:…read more 1) Frustrating communication: After paying the guarantee, there were 26 days of ignored follow-ups, inaccurate/delayed responses due to a clear lack of reading of emails, technical issues with the application website, and unanswered phone calls before I decided to not sign the lease (which was still not provided). This process destroyed my faith in the building and made me concerned of how I would be treated as a tenant. 2) Unexpected rent change: Before they sent me the lease to sign (which they never sent), they tried to increase my rent by $250 a month from the initial amount I had agreed to in the guarantee. I logged into the application portal one day and it was $250 higher a month. When I emailed to confirm that it would remain at the original, they confirmed it would be at the lower rate; however, when asking for security deposit and first/last checks, they suddenly increased monthly rent by $250. 3) Location hazards: I was not aware of the significant homeless population which congregates/stays literally outside the entrance of the building until friends warned me. I came by several days in a row and noticed a group of 10-20 homeless which were hanging right outside the entrance, which you have to walk through to get to the apartment building. I later read the following reddit post which increased my worries about the location:https://www.reddit.com/r/boston/comments/ue5mo8/homeless_in_central_getting_more_dangerous/ Hope this is helpful to others considering or that people have had better experiences than I have had. Would highly recommend several in-person visits to the location before deciding!

Front Desk: John, Suzie, Samir (and new guy David) are all extremely extremely nice. They are incredibly helpful and cordial and we say hi and chit chat just about every day. Tenants: Everyone we've met is extremely friendly. They are kind of protective of the tenants that come in without a key as well. When i first moved in and left my fob in my other purse, another tenant let me in the door only after he asked me if i lived there. Amenities: There is a washer and dry that the building shares which is nice because you don't have to brave the cold when you want to get your laundry done in the winter. There is a 24 hour CVS (pharmacy is open late till late), atm machines, gap!, bsc, liquor store etc right next to the buiding. There is also a small out door balcony on the 2nd floor you can hang out at. It's much cheaper to ask friends to come over and hang out there and byob instead of going to a bar nearby and pay $10 a drink! Great doctors are right at MGH T stop. Lots of shopping right at Park- right the red. Being on the redline: It really does take 30 seconds to the T. I love being able to tell Taxi drivers to take me to the central square Tstop instead of having to give them an address. Groceries: You can park your car in the garage for about 5 minutes to drop off groceries. They have a few dollies you can borrow to haul all your stuff upstairs. There is also a place to park (an extra right small right lane) for about a minute if you have a friend picking you up. Random: There are a few parade that comes through central square. I'ts nice to be able to pop your head out for a few minutes and go back back inside your apartment. Please send me a message if you have any questions! =)

I disliked everything about my stay here at Anthem Everett. I had a bad experience upon the very…read morefirst week of my 15-month lease and had to bear with it for over a year until I could finally move out. I wish I looked at more apartments, but this was the only one I toured because it was the cheapest. I am not from the Boston area and this place ruined my experience of living in the city for the first time. Firstly, the building is located at a really bad intersection on a busy road. Getting in and out every morning was a difficult process. It's in a really bad looking area, so if you want trees and nature, this is not the place for you. The interactions I had with the leasing specialist I initially worked with somehow turned sour after I brought up numerous issues with my apartment just after the first week of living there. She specifically did not like that my boyfriend was helping me work through all the issues and she actually made me cry during one telephone conversation. After that, I avoided all interaction with the leasing office as much as I could and felt extremely alienated here. To me, this was just a place to sleep, not a home. One major pain point I had was the car wash that sits right across the street from the front entrance of the building. My apartment was located on that side. During the summer, people would show up in the parking lot of that car wash until the early hours of the morning blasting music so loud that it vibrated the windows of my apartment. I had to sleep with ear plugs in all the time. It was a very uncomfortable experience and caused me a great deal of stress and lack of sleep. Another thing that was a problem was the parking garage. There is assigned parking, but people would park wherever they wanted sometimes, even in your assigned spot. Numerous times I had to email the leasing office with parking issues. Certain parking neighbors were also not very conscientious of how they were parking, making it difficult for me to park every day. I had to formally request to move my spot at least 3 times during my stay. Also, in no way did I feel the building was secured. I felt like a lot of times anyone could get in off the street, which is extremely concerning. Yes, they do have key fobs that you technically need to enter any door and you need a tag on your car to enter the garage. A lot of times people would wait and follow me into the parking garage. Sometimes the garage doors were just open for hours or days due to some electrical issue. One day a random salesman showed up at my door trying to scam me into switching electrical companies. He was going door to door within the building. I informed management about this and they confirmed that he was not supposed to be there. There were a host of other things that I could go on about, but these were the top issues I had during my stay.

I'm finally settled into my new apartment, and I couldn't be happier!…read more I absolutely love everything about Anthem Everett. From the beginning, the process was smooth and easy. I scheduled a tour with Kyle, who was incredibly helpful, informative, and patient in answering all of my questions. During the approval and move-in process, I worked with Luisa, who went above and beyond to assist me. Her support truly made a difference and eased my stress throughout the move. Every time I called, the answering service staff were also kind, helpful, and responsive. The property itself is always clean, smells great, and feels very welcoming. I love the amenities and have already met a few neighbors who are all friendly and pleasant--adding even more to the sense of community here. Highly recommend moving to Anthem Everett!
