Always glad to support local businesses and the Bay. I've been a fan of Adapt for years. Live in the South Bay though so I usually just purchase online or at their old South Bay store. Made a venture to their OG retail today since I was up by SF and wanted their duffle back pack. Called first to make sure they were open and the item I wanted to check out was in stock. Picked up the phone promptly. /thumbs up. Pet peeve of mine when businesses just let their phones ring. Arrived on a Saturday around 330pm. Parking wasn't difficult to find. Parked right in front, actually. Their had a lot of their selection cleanly displayed. It is helpful to know what you might like since I don't think they have EVERYTHING displayed out. Great customer service. Got some sweet swag and supported a great local business that support great causes itself. Definite recommendation. read more

I literally live on the same block as adapt. No really, I can walk out of my house and kick a rock at the sign if I felt mischievous enough; but why stoop that low to prove a point? Walking by to work/catch muni, I will find myself peeking in looking at a lot of the shirts/swag(?) that they offer and although most are interesting in terms of design, it simply is just a "meh" for me. From an outsiders perspective, this is hypebeast gear in purest form and something that I just cant get down with: hypebeast 1. Sneakerheads who only rock hyped up shit to get props b/c they got no self worth or sense of style. 2. 50% of NikeTalk members 1. Yo, check out my matching supreme cap, bape hoody, bape jeans, and bape kicks. 2. You f****n hypebeast. Following? Good. That being said, this past week changed my view point a tad. Walking by, as I do, I notice a shirt that said "Sunday Funday" and my heart exploded into happiness as this would be my stagename should I feel strippin' is my lifes calling. As mentioned in other reviews, Sundays are my party days and funday is just that... a fun-day. To add more flare to it, it was a black tee, red lettering, and the "S" and "F" were gold.... Just in time for a Sunday niners game (which later resulted in a loss to the seachickens). The shirt came in just a tab over $30, the material was thick with an adapt logo placed directly on my badonkadonk and service was friendly (I called ahead of time to reserve one as they were closing in 30 minutes and I needed to put pants on). Walked in, said my name, signed an ipad and was on my way. The shirt gained a lot of love and is timeless as Sunday funday will always be a "thing" and the niners will always be my team. Adapt, you're not my usual steeeze but I give you props for the work you have done on this fine day. I guess I can Adapt, afterall, if need be. *slaps knee* read more

Of course I would wait till the day before the niner vs Seahawks game to buy my gold blooded tee. The store is right on the corner and easy to spot! Lots of convenient parking as well! Apparently I wasn't the only one who waited till the last minute cause the whole store was packed! Lots of niner fans getting their adapt gear! I was a bit worried they wouldn't have my size but they were fully prepared and had all the sizes Milan and I needed! Hepsie was especially a great help! At first I wasn't sure what style shirt I wanted but she was very patient and gave me her honest opinions. Although the niners lost, I was very satisfied with my adapt purchases! I have been sporting Adapt clothing for quite some time now. Even when ordering from their website, customer service was quick and very helpful (I had to do exchanges). Happy that they have a B&M location (although a strange location in the middle of residential Sunset) and customer service in store is nice. They are quick to let you know if they have everything in stock, if you don't see what you want they have a computer set up for you to browse their site. I fully support local and plus this is one of the rare urban brands that make clothing for females. Good job guys! I will continue sporting Adapt on all my trips!! (Coachella, EDC, etc) P.S. I was looking for some 9er gear with more swag and at type than what u can find on basic NFL websites. Came across Adapt online store and saw they had 9er, Giant, and Warrior clothes and gear. I was skeptical at first but decided to purchase a windbreaker jacket. It arrived to me in San Diego in 2 days and I was blown away with the quality of the jacket. The quality and the style are unbelievable. Totally worth the money. This company has great customer support too! I wanted the jacket to come before the Super Bowl and they responded quickly and told me to email them with the confirmation number and they pulled my order and expedited the shipping! Can't say enough good things about Adapt. Will definitely purchase again. Oh ya they also included a free sticker with the order! read more

Flew in allllll the way from Hawaii just to hit up the flagship (kinda, sorta). It's not hard finding the place, but parking can be a bit challenging (there seemed to be construction going on at the time). Evan greeted us immediately and welcomed us to the shop. There's a wide selection of urban clothing geared towards the bay. What I really like about the brand is that Adapt caters to it's locals in the Bay Area, and the locals rep it so hard. Anyway, getting back to the store, wide selection. If you can't find a certain item, they have a computer you could use to search it up on their website. They also have several bins of sale items. If the sale item is damaged, they've got little markers to point out where the damage is. Prices are comparable to other street wear products. The guy who was at the shop, Evan, was cool and personable. After ordering online for YEARS, I'm so glad we finally got to stop by the flagship. read more

Adapt makes some pretty spiffy gear for custom-minded Bay Area sports aficionados. The quality of their clothing feels sturdy and strong with crisp printing and original patterns. However, prices are admittedly higher than what you'd pay for a regular t-shirt or beanie, even one at a team propriety store (ex: Giants Dugout). That said, my shopping experience here was excellent compared to that at their pop-up shop inside Serramonte. Despite being the only customer during my time here, the guy that was minding the store was attentive without being overbearing. He was also engaging in small talk, celebrated my eco-friendly behavior (no bag!), and we even had a bonding moment over a song from Tarzan that played while I was inside. Very positive shopping experience overall. read more

Adapt is probably one of my favorite street brands because of its constant release of up-to-date designs for all of my favorite bay area teams. I am originally from south bay, and recently moved to the city, so the selection of Sharks gear as well of Warriors, Niners, and Giants gear really impress me. My all time favorite design is Gold Blooded. I don't know what keeps me coming back, but so far I now have two different colored hoodies with the same Gold Blooded design, one in niners color, and one in warriors colors. The store is very small and clean. Designs are on display, but all of the sizes are in the back. You simply just ask for whatever size you want, and whoever is working will promptly get it for you. Staff here are always so friendly and attentive. Compare to the Serramonte store, the store doesn't get extremely crowded on a daily bases. The downfall is that sometimes the actual store might not have your size, but you can try on sizes to see what fits and later order them online. Clothes here are pretty pricey. But I've had adapt clothing for the past 2 years, and its been one of the better quality of my clothes (even the tanks). I suggest getting hoodies for getting the bang for your buck! Can't wait to see everything Adapt has to offer to the city. read more

Super fresh gear! Picked me up some tees from the boxes, an even bigger score (cash only though) It's a pretty small shop but with lots of designs your Bay Area heart desires we took so long that the shop got really crowded. A bit hard to find parking, but it'll be worth it. read more

Karl is doing it for the BAY. I was introduced to his designs by my girl Abi and I've built up a collection ever since. The company's namesake is true to the inspiration behind many of the designs. That is, that the designs tend to use a play on words or creative use of color to highlight phrases within words, such as the "SF" in State of Mind, or 9empire, or Hella Kitty. It's clever and simple, yet bold. The owner, Karl, is always coming out with new designs. He keeps it fresh. Even 40-water (E-40) is a fan, as can be seen by the canvas photographs hung from Karl's shop on 33rd and Judah St. Ever since I moved to San Diego, Adapt keeps me repping the bay. It makes me feel closer to home. read more

Big ups for having the Hopie Spitshard CD! As for the customer service, meh, I'll just stick to online if I ever cop something again. As a representative of the brand, they need to get rid of the girl with the lashes because she is a reason why I'm turned off from the brand. Granted we came in close to closing time but I'm sure the prompt purchase of two sweatshirts and a tee should have at least quelled that you had to stay a bit longer to put up a smile and deal with us rather than look frustrated that you had to stay 10 minutes beyond while the others were hanging out in the backroom. I appreciate and look at customer service in higher regard. Not to mention I bought some more things that you should've either cancelled the original card transaction and re-ring everything or buckled a bit instead of charging me an extra $5 for a clearance item because you had a minimum and was closing. I had a $10 cash for a $15 item but already had a $200 charge rung up but because of your minimum you charged me $20. Really? For a local brand, that was pretty shitty that had it not been last minute presents for others, I would've just told you to take the whole sale and shove it. read more

Hella fresh! I love Adapt's clothing line because of two main reasons...1.) It's a local brand based here in the city and 2.) their clothes totally represent Bay Area urban culture. Driving by this place, I almost didn't go in, but I'm so glad that I did. The store itself is literally a hole in the wall. With a few t-shirt designs laid out on a table, some hoodies hanging, and other accessories behind a glass case. First impression was "that's it? I'm definitely not gonna find what I'm looking for here today. Should just have ordered off their website." The lone sale associate informed me however, that everything on their website is actually available at their store. Apparently, they keep a huge stock room directly behind the show room floor. Popular designs are either bay area themed, sports themed, or throw back. Being a die hard niner fan, my favorites are their gold blooded and Kaepernick gear. But they also have really cool designs for all Bay Area teams...Giants, Raiders, Warriors, and Sharks. Another couple of my favorite designs are the ones that read "Damn Gina" which is a reference to the sitcom Martin and "93' till Infinity," which pays homage to the old school Souls of Mischief joint, a rap group from Oakland. If you love the bay, and old school sh*t like me, you'll undoutedly find yourself here... read more

Took my cousin from Chicago here. He went a little crazier than I did. We liked the items we saw inside the store, struck up a good conversation with the dude working and walked out with some good stuff. The location is kind of isolated but at least it's easy to get too. Parking isn't bad either. read more

They get my approval since they have great customer service!! I came in one day to exchange my sweatshirt for a medium, but when I came home it was obviously that the medium had been mismarked and it was 3 times larger than the small I originally had. I called a week later to let them know what had happened and not only was she willing to put my size aside, she was willing to let me come an hour earlier to accomodate my schedule! Doesn't get any better than that! TIP: some of the best bay designs i've seen!! read more

This place is great! It's a really good urban spot for sports and city fans! They have a really good, creative selection of fan gear and city gear. And don't just think that what you see if everything they have, they have plenty more in the back! Just ask! With that, everyone that works here is great. Very nice, helpful, and down to earth! You ask their opinion, they'll give it to you. Right then and there. It's hard to go in here and not leaving without buying something... With that, the only reason they don't get 5 stars is because of price, but really, that isn't too big of a deal. The prices aren't crazy expensive but they're not cheap either. Pretty fair price for great quality. Also, they're supposed to be getting baby clothes soon! I can't wait! read more

Worth the drive out to this local shop of our bay area sports teams! I bought a Gold Blooded hoodie and A's tee and love the quality of the material. Well, I would hope so because the prices are pretty steep but one of a kind and worth the buck. Make sure you look at all merchandise they have online because they have a big stock in the back that isn't on display. Support the locals! read more

Love this store if you are a 49ers fan or Bay area sport team fan. The store is a small boutique style store right on the corner of a SF neighborhood (literally). Shirt sizing is pretty on par and fit great! There was so much more I wanted to buy, but I guess I'll have to wait for my next trip to the Bay. I love their style of representing my favorite football team (49ers) with a unique look. The locals know about this store and they always have some unique design from time to time. Their customer service - top notch and friendly. They allowed me to try on some of the gear even when I wasn't going to buy it this time around. Check out their website, pretty dope stuff! As a dedicated customer of Adapt, I have to say I've always enjoyed repping their brand. And though I know I can order most of these items online, I do like making the occasional visit to their flagship if I'm ever in the area. This one time, I visited the store a couple days before Christmas. I bought 2 items but wasn't sure about the size of one. Dumbass me chose NOT to get the receipt, thinking I can save a few trees. So the very next day, I called asking the person working if I could still retrieve a gift receipt. And guess what? She was nice enough to hook me up with it and even remembered who I was! How's that for excellent customer service?! Seriously, that was clutch. And that's one reason why I rock their stuff and will keep doing so for years to come. Adapt has an online store, but since they are only in San Francisco, we decided to visit their store front. It's located on a corner store on Judah and is pretty small. When you walk in, it's a room with shirts folded on tables and hanging on the wall. It's pretty much a showroom and you have to ask one of the workers for sizes because they keep their stock in the back. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed in there. There were two workers that day and they were both very professional and polite. I was waiting and the other employee apologized for the wait and explained they were short staffed. I didn't mind because I just saw how busy they were and how many times they had to go back and forth. Regardless of how busy, they both were very attentive and answered all my questions. I ended up getting two of their niner shirts. The quality of the material was nice and thick. The sizes (as the woman explained) are true to size, and I will have to agree. read more

Great simple urban style to rep local teams and cities. Carl provided excellent customer service as I called in with an issue with some shirts and with no hassle he helped me fixed the problem even though we lost our receipt. And we easily spent about $275 in one visit! Although their selection doesn't seem huge but that is because they only display some items in the store front but you go on their computer and pick and choose what you want to see in a virtual "shopping cart" and they bring it out from the back room. Great style and great customer service. Will def come back again!' UPDATE: Unfortunately we forgot the shirts in SJ, so we will have to come back another day to complete this transaction. The company has great customer service! I had purchased a shirt years ago and parts of the ink oddly changed to a different blue tone over time. I brought it up to them recently just to bring it to their attention, nothing more, and they graciously sent me a replacement. So I came here in August to get my husband 2 shirts for his birthday. I got him a SF state of mind and a gold blooded tank. Both have a thick fabric and run bigger than there actual size. My husband loved both! I went back yesterday for another birthday present. I got a gold blooded tote bag and a gold blooded keychain (real cute) and some gold blooded sunglasses. Lets hope I make another one of my family members happy with my purchases at Adapt! They also have some real cool Kaepernick posters and canvases great ideas for Christmas!! read more

I've stepped foot in this Adapt clothing store about 5-6 times now. Guess that may express how I feel about this store, I LOVE IT! Every visit I've made, the employees have always been very helpful and polite. I have yet to walk out of this store disappointed in my experience, or purchase. Adapt is the store to buy gear to represent your favorite Bay Area teams! Yes, this is where you will find your Gold Blooded t-shirts, beanies, sweatshirts and more! EVERYTHING on their website is available for purchase in-store, at this location only. So, get on the computer to check out the various designs they offer. And if you don't have a computer at home, don't sweat it, because they have a computer available for your use inside the store! I've had my eyes on that 9er empire sweatshirt for quite some time now, so needless to say, I'll be back!! read more

Customer service could have been better. Rang the doorbell, girl comes out and opens the door, no smile, just a weak hi. Sits her ass at the desk and just waits. Had a few questions for her and her tone wasn't very friendly. I'm sorry that we bothered to come into the shop. Working in retail, you should always make customers feel welcomed regardless what personal issues you may have going on and what not. Whatever the case, it seems like she has no customer service skills. If it wasn't for my brother wanting a few shirts from this shop, I'd never shop here again or support this brand. read more

I came with a medium size bag full of clothes nicely folded with some shoes. It was a slow day and I watched the gentleman with long hair review my clothes. He quickly went through my items and left them unfolded into a big pile. Some of the items, he didn't even bother to unfold or look at the brand. In the end, he didn't buy anything which is the first time this has happened (I brought in Zara and Revolve brands). I understand buying can be subjective so that's fine that they didn't buy anything. However, I wish the buyer would've folded everything back into the bag nicely instead of shoving the clothes he unfolded with the garments overfilling and hanging off my bag. That just shows how careless the whole selling experience was. I went to a different consignment shop right after and most of my clothes got accepted. This makes me question if it's even worth selling here anymore.

The lawn is always green and beautiful, perfect for letting my fur baby run around and play (or potty) and you will always see people enjoying the space, stretched out reading or talking with friends or just soaking up the peace. One of my favorite things about Union square is the art. The giant hearts are iconic in San Francisco and they're always being repainted and reimagined by different artists, so no matter how many times you come here, you will always see something new. I've seen so many versions over the years but I still stop to look at them every time I'm here because there is always something new. The hearts the statues, the occasional pop-up installations or performances, the square always feels alive. There is also always something going on. On my last visit here there were ping pong tables set up everywhere with people playing. I saw juggling classes being offered and arts programs for kids with people gathered around having a good time. There was a reading area and books brought in on carts. They even still had up there holiday backdrop that looks like it was put there just for people to use for the perfect insta shot. There are plenty of tables and benches scattered around so it's easy to grab a seat and stay a while. Even if you're just passing through and you need to rest your dogs for a few minutes, this is the perfect spot. I spent more than a few afternoons here people watching or enjoying a snack from the little stand nearby. It's really a great place to spend some time and a must do if you are in San Francisco. On the weekends you will find people trying to usher you onto bus tours or maybe sell you souvenirs, but you might also witness an event or see straight performers so you never really know what you're going to get. This is a place for visitors and locals wiith nice surroundings where you can really get a feel for and just to take in the city.
