This is such a beautiful practice! I am a new patient here, and I've never stepped in such an incredible office like this. I needed my annual exam done, and I needed new glasses as I knew my vision had changed. I scheduled an appointment with Dr.Wang and she was amazing. She was very thorough, and we discussed my medical history in-depth. After my appointment, I met with the staff member David to go over my options for glasses. He was so much fun, and I found the perfect pair. The whole process was easy, and I was so happy to find a pair of glasses AND sunglasses. I also love the fact that I can walk to the office from my house, so that is a HUGE plus. The staff at the check-in desk were super sweet. I've been bringing my daughter to acuvision for 6 years now. When we were told she needed glasses by her pediatrician I didn't even know where to start. So I started with looking for something in the area and that took pediatric patients. I made lots of calls and we came across acuvision. All of the staff here is friendly, they answer all your questions, and go above and beyond. The office always smells good and is tidy, it's very welcoming. On top of that they even placed a pac man arcade unit in their waiting room, we now love to wait :). The whole staff is great and when I say they go above and beyond I mean it. I I had a question regarding my personal prescription, and even though they aren't my optometrists, they went above and beyond to help me get the answers I needed. This review is long overdue, I've been coming to AcuVision for 18ish years! Every touch point during every visit has been the best experience, from front staff to the optometrists (every single one is amazing) to the opticians (highly recommend David -- he is the BEST and really knows what he's doing). They have always been incredibly thorough, and go above and beyond to make sure your eyes are taken care of and that you are no less than 100% satisfied and comfortable in your vision. I have very high prescription, and over the years they have caught a retinal tear, helped me manage my dry eye symptoms, made sure I had the best contact lenses available to me, and helped me with glasses, even helping me pick optimal frames for my high prescription when the ones I originally picked out weren't working out for me. So I've gone to LensCrafters for years and always enjoyed the service and availability for glasses. Decided to give this place a try and was able to obtain the glasses I needed. My issues are with the warranty(which I always need a few times a year) my first replacement was due to damage and not manufacturing defects. When inquiring for the second damage I'm told they cannot offer me a replacement due to the damage being non manufacturing. The entire point of warranty coverage is to protect the glasses from damages which LensCrafters has no issues covering after paying the deductible. Unfortunately they won't cover a replacement (with deductible) but are happy to schedule me for a new exam and new pair. ---- Was able to speak to Amanda to make things right and get a replacement at cost. Might have to consider their warranty options if I do decide to use them in the future. read more

Dr Wang and the entire office staff is amazing. I sometimes calls and the lady ( I think her name is Amanda) she would say "I know exactly who you are." It makes me feel warm and fuzzy that they know my name. I have referred my husband to the office who also gets his glasses here. The office is like an museum. It is also very clean. They provide such good service and care to their patients. I highly recommend them. Most recently my son who is 3 years old had an eye trauma. I was frantically calling the office right before they close trying to get emergency help. The office staff was able to have me talk to Dr Wang within the hour to evaluate the situation. After making sure my son did not have to be seen the same day, Dr Wang went above and beyond helping me get in touch with an ophthalmologist to examine my child. Then Dr Wang continued to follow up with me to make sure my son was able to get an appointment and that he was okay. I am very grateful to Dr Wang who goes the extra mile to help his patients. I've needed a new prescription for a while but I'm always short on time. AcuVision did thorough testing for my comprehensive eye exam that didn't require my eyes to be dilated (new tech!) and didn't take up too much of my morning. The woman who performed my test was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and explained the tests and results to me in a very comprehensive way. I wish I remembered her name to give her credit because she rocked. David helped me choose glasses at the end of my visit & was so patient & enthusiastic. He went above and beyond to help me find glasses similar to a favorite pair I'd lost & made sure to calculate the best deal options my insurance had available. Was completely transparent about how long it could take for my prescription to be ready to pick up & went out of his way to ensure I'd get them with a quick turn around. I had the best experience here and will definitely be coming here for all future optometry visits! First I was welcomed in by such a sweet young lady, working the front. She was extremely helpful throughout my whole appointment and answered all my questions with a smile on her face. Aside from the sweet greeting, I immediately noticed how clean and modern the place looked and felt. The space is bigger than other optometrists I've been to and the way it's set up to look more modern and not so "doctor office like" added to my overall enjoyment. The office has an additional machine for 'retinal imaging' to check for rips/tears (??) around the eyeball and only costed $30 extra which for me personally is well worth the price and now I know that there's nothing wrong with my eyes in places that other optometrists weren't able to see. I was seen by Dr. Choi for my actual eye exam and she thoroughly answered all my questions and was so friendly and understanding. I'm someone that likes to asks many questions about different things and the way she was able to relay medical terminology to me, without confusing me, made me appreciate the kind of doctor she was and it ensured that I would come back to see her again in the future. I've been looking for an optometrist for some time now and came across this office and it's glowing reviews. I decided to go for it (I usually do not go to new places) and miraculously right when I called someone had just cancelled their appointment that day (that hour actually). It felt meant to be so I went and everything about that visit was perfect (the people, the parking, the glasses). Firstly, the office is really beautiful, clean, spacious, and most importantly has the most advanced eye technology. Additionally, everyone that I was saw that day (two people; the lady who performed all the tests and then the doctor) were extremely kind, guided me through the entire process, and thoroughly answered all my questions. HOWEVER, the reason I feel this office deserves 6 stars is that choosing glasses is extremely stressful for me. I am VERY indecisive, had no idea what I'm looking for, and didn't know what looked good on me. I say this to say that the lady who helped me found the most perfect sets of glasses for my face, my personality, and my price range. Opened during the pandemic! I felt safe and had a great experience today. Overall, I was impressed of the measures they are taking to help keep both the staff and patients as safe as possible. To share some highlights: - Patient appointments were carefully spaced apart, I believe no other patients were scheduled during my appointment time (So don't be late!) - Temperature checks - The front entrance area has a sanitation area available - It looked like each room has an air purifier by the door, great for air circulated (btw this new office feels very clean and ventilated!) - Dr. Wang calmly walked me thru the protocols before I got seated for my eye exam - such as the designated tray for me to put my belongings, the sink to wash my hands, (although everything gets wiped down, I requested to wear gloves so I can further limit touching anything accidentally - were in it together! It was for my own peace of mind). Lastly, my favorite part was being offered medical tape to help secure the top edge of my mask to my nose. (It didn't hurt and I really appreciated and decided to keep the tape on even after I left the office). - Amanda was very patient and helpful. When I touched a pair of glasses, she guided me to where to place the glasses on a designated tray to make sure it gets sanitized. I believe I tried only tried on 3 pairs today - I didn't want to touch anything until I was serious about purchasing it. - Contactless payment (Zelle) and curbside pick up available! - Same excellent level of patient care lives on at this new office. Still very knowledgeable and welcoming team. My tip is to ask questions and allow the team to guide you through the process. ** Kind reminder that patients need to do our parts to create that safe environment as well.. we're in it together! Great experience at AcuVision's new offices. I've been going to them for over 6 years now and the doctors/ staff have always been professional, courteous, and attentive. I was actually apprehensive about my appointment due to the pandemic but the office is totally Covid compliant. I was put to ease with their entire Covid procedures and felt completely safe having my eye exam. Plus the new offices are beautiful with great lighting including an open spa like layout. They use state of the art eye exam equipment. Dr Wang has effective communication skills explaining my results in great details and my exam was painless. Sara assisted with my eye wear selection and was extremely pleasant. She explained my plain in detail and helped me select the right frames. Which they have a great selection of from designer brands to some less expensive but great looking ones. I chose the Tom Ford's and can't wait to pick them up. The place is clean and looks nice. Parking is right in front and easy to park. Both times I've come with an appointment they've made me wait at least 30 minutes which is why I'm knocking down a star. Originally I gave 2 stars cuz of the wait but the manager apologized and said that's not how they usually work and she was very kind so I'm raising my review because the doctors are good here. They just need to be better at managing expectations and the guy in the front should stop saying "they'll be right with you" if they're really going to make you wait a while. read more

I had a similar experience as the person below, who rates them poorly. I came here based on their 5-star reviews, but that was not my personal experience. I've had exams with and without insurance in the past, and this has by far been the worst. Their charges are deceitful; they are not upfront about the charges. The charges they say the insurance will cover compared to my other medical eye exams do not cover aspects of the examination that other locations did cover with the same insurance coverage. Even so, it's not entirely transparent until you see the hefty charge on your statement as they break out the receipt into two separate invoices. I wasn't delighted with the level of customer service by some of their staff (I don't recall their names, so I cannot specify), but they weren't what I would expect from a friendly salesperson. The lens quality was subpar compared to my previous experiences at different optometrist offices. I also thought my glasses would have been fitted and adjusted, but that wasn't something they even offered upon picking up my glasses. I thought they would have had the customer service I had experienced at many other optometry offices. What's done is done, they've charged me, it's done, I'm unhappy with the end product, dissatisfied with their service, disappointed with their transparency (regardless if they mean to or not, it's something they need to fix), and I would never recommend this place. Don't be deceived by their modern interior; it's not worth it. I recommend going to Target Optical on Whittier Blvd. They are very friendly, have trained salespeople who are certified in their knowledge, have a more comprehensive range of frames, are more inexpensive, and have way more patience, and they will gladly print out a quote ahead of time and go through the costs with you. I'll never come back here or recommend this place. I've had better experiences at other optometry offices throughout Southeast LA and Greater Los Angeles than here. read more

Came back after a few years and Dr. Ed.Wang remembered me. Even through I saw another eye doctor. The New place looks so Really Really Nice, and so many new eye machines. They also have Really nice glass frames. I am trying to see if I can go back to CTL. So I was given a pair to try out for a week. I had to ask for a case to put them in when I take them off daily. The bad part was they didn't have any CTL sample solution to put them in. Which is absolutely strange, they should always have some. They said they ran out. My family and I went and it was pretty great. Everyone is so kind and patient. Especially with my young children and when selecting glasses. Every moment was so positive. I enjoyed how the doctor shared pictures of my eyes and spoke to me about the health of my eyes.. and in my children's appointments the doctor also spoke very kindly to my children and to me. I had many concerns and she was kind to repeat and clarify. In addition, when it was time to select glasses I wasn't rushed and was allowed to try on all the glasses I was interested and assisted in selecting glasses. After several years of eye exams, I will no longer use this office and will seek services from a different provider. They are not upfront about out-of-pocket costs even with insurance. I specifically asked about a retinal imaging that was to be done which I had done at a different provider's office a few months prior. I was told the retinal imaging was part of my exam and was covered under my insurance. I expected to pay my usual $40 which includes contact lens fitting. I was then told that my "copay" was now $80 which included the retinal imaging. When I asked why it was extra since I was told it was part of my exam, I was told by Amanda that this was the copay. I didn't question further and just paid it. I come to find out later that this was covered under insurance once every 3 years and it was optional. If they needed the retinal imaging, they could have requesting the prior imaging I had done from the other provider. I was also not happy with the way Amanda handled the cost of contact lenses. She gave me a price that was a high out-of-pocket and I asked if I could just have a copy of my prescription as I was not interested in purchasing contacts with them at that time. She asked why I was not purchasing contacts and I said I wanted to shop around first. She seemed bothered and said we wouldn't get a better deal anywhere else and honestly she came off like a used car salesperson. Well, I did some research and was able to purchase contacts online which were covered by my insurance and I had no out-of-pocket costs. It's a shame because the office is clean and the doctors are very pleasant. read more
