We used Active Movers back in March, right before the pandemic started to move into our first home. We chose them because we read Yelp reviews and they had the best reviews and, by far, the best prices. We had 2 movers and they worked their butts off. They were very transparent and pointed out any damages they noticed on furniture or walls before they moved it to make sure we knew those marks were already there prior to moving. At our new house, we had a very narrow hallway so they warned us that they would do their very best to not make any marks, but with the bigger furniture, it might be unavoidable.This honesty and transparency was very nice and put us all at ease. They also had blankets and rugs provided that they used to protect the furniture and our carpet. The only setback for us, was we were scheduled for 8am, and they didn't show up until about 45 minutes later. It was due to a communication error because we had two pick up locations and one drop off location, we were waiting at one pick up location, and they went to the other one on-time. Once we figured out the error, they came to us and got the job started. Ralph also made sure to not charge us for the 45 minutes of time that we had the miscommunication. We needed an old piano moved into an old house. We also knew we might be looking at a cost equal to what we paid for the piano to begin with. Other people that had pianos moved said they had them moved for under $200. When I initially called Ralph about moving a piano he quoted me $175 to move a spinet piano from Cave Creek to Phoenix. When I called Ralph answered and gave me the quote in one 5 minute conversation. He asked me what needed to be moved and from where to where and then he gave me the quote. We found an upright piano in Gilbert that is bigger than the first piano Ralph quoted us for. I again called Ralph and after explaining what kind of piano it was he quoted it to be moved at $225. After the initial quote over the phone he had me text the info about where to pick up the piano and where to drop it off. The day of the move Ralph called to let me know they were on their way and what their schedule was. When Ralph and Remington arrived with the piano I showed them the way into the house. Because my house is old and the piano is old it could have been a little tricky but they got it in. I would highly recommend Active Movers for their pricing and no-nonsense practices. Hmm find it a little odd that there are two different web sites for this same mover. A Active Movers with a 3 star and then Activemovers. If you google on chrome www.azactivemovers.com you get this message The site ahead contains malware Attackers currently on www.azactivemovers.com . Anyway, I hired them 4-20-17 to move one small truck to my new address 5 minutes away...They took 5 hours yes 5 to move one truck . I was charged $415.00. I even gave them an old persons scooter worth at least $1200 that just needed a new battery. (Bet you didn't know this Ralph) The cause was one old man who did nothing just hung around and caused problems. Jose was polite, apologetic and did everything. He was awesome and told me to contact the boss Ralph. Even though this was a bad experience Ralph came through. He was so helpful and apologetic and refunded me money. I know ii's late in my review but I have a life. Would I use them again? Yes because of Ralph. He truly loves his business and will undo any problems you have. After scheduling a move with another company, a friend suggested Active Movers. I spoke with Ralph (an ex New Yorker like me) and he explained his services and fees completely. I decided to use him instead of the other company. Well, I was thrilled with my decision. I downsized from a large house to a smaller one, which we did in two stages. First the garage contents, and later the furniture and furnishings. Each time, Ralph showed up on time and eager to get started. His crew was careful with our belongings, obviously well versed in how to pack a truck, and a pleasure to have around. They unloaded everything with care and set up the items which were dismantled. After leaving we discovered a problem with a desk drawer that had been improperly reinstalled. I called Ralph and he was back the next day to correct the problem. We used Active Movers on August 25th For a move from Estrella Mountain Ranch to Verrado/ Buckeye. Remington and George did an excellent job loading and unloading. We had a 1700 square-foot home one level, we moved to a one level home. They began at 8 AM and finished at 2 PM with two guys. I don't believe the truck was a 26 footer but they did fit everything in the truck. It was a one trip move. We had already moved all of our clothes from our closets and a couple of furniture items, small ones. They were very careful with furniture and not marking up walls. I only found two small markings on the wall and one small damage to a coffee table. I wrote those off because I felt like they did a really great job overall. I originally asked for three movers, I only got two. I don't know if it would've cost any different with three but I felt like the price for two was a really great price. I looked at three other companies and I will say the active movers was cheaper than any of the others. They did a great job and I highly recommend this company. read more

Ralph was recommended to me by friends who he had moved. The first time he moved me from Mesa, AZ to Las Vegas, NV two and a half years ago, Thankfully I still had his number on my phone because I just hired him to move me back to Mesa. Ralph is a great guy. Gets the job done in record time. He's always prompt, in fact he arrives early. He is reasonably priced, super friendly but always professional and very careful with my belongings. He drove to Vegas the evening before to be able to load the truck and head back down. In Vegas, the local guy he hired to help did not show up Ralph loaded the truck by himself in record time. My son said "he's a strong guy. Crazy how fast he moves" . I found their truck at a local area recently and called the number on the truck. Ralph immediately picked up the call and quoted me. He was polite and explained everything. After milling over three other companies, I took a chance on Active Movers. The guys showed up 15 minutes early and got right to work. The movers were Carlos and Bobby. They were polite and worked very hard. I didn't have a whole lot to move, but they were calm and very polite. They were moving items from a bigger home to a much smaller home so they had some challenges when they arrived at the other home. But they were very calm and still polite and got the job done. It took alot of stress off me. I would highly recommended giving these guys a chance. After the move was over I got a real invoice from them and I even tipped the guys and said have a nice dinner on me. They shook our hands and said thank you and went on their way. I was a little hesitant to go with a company that wasn't a nation-wide brand, but Ralph (the owner) was very responsive to my questions via messenger here on Yelp and spelled out all the pricing upfront for me. Ralph was a much better deal than Two Men and Truck! The crew arrived exactly on time and they were crazy efficient. They were able to get an entire 4bedroom house loaded in just 1.5 hours. This included disassembly of large bedroom furniture and a crazy heavy concrete dining room table. At the new house The crew lead was very polite and excellent at organizing and confirming where I wanted things to go. Not a single item was scuffed or damaged! That's a first for me. Overall a GREAT deal - great customer service, great price, and really a great move. How often do you hear someone describe their move as "great"?! I was referred to Active Movers by a work colleague. My parents were moving out the home they have lived in for the last 14 years or so. The owner of the business, Ralph, was extremely accommodating and warm from the outset and kept a line of communication open at all times. The two gentlemen that came to my parents house were extremely professional, hardworking, went the extra mile on some last-minute requests (due to unforeseen circumstances), and did an excellent job. We recently moved from NY and used three different moving companies...one in NY and two here in Surprise. By far, Active Movers was the best. Ralph called the night before to confirm and showed up exactly on time. He was professional throughout and worked extremely hard. These guys are great. Called not even a week before moving and the owner, Ralph, answered the phone and was able to get me in for that Sunday. Their pricing is so much cheaper than other places I called. I was honestly nervous because it seemed so reasonable. I had no reason to worry they were great. The day before they called to confirm. Day of they kept in constant contact with me as I wasn't moving u till later afternoon. Showed up on time ready to work. I had three guys all amazing. Danny was the lead and was great. We were super unorganized and they went above and beyond to help us out. They do charge 4% if you pay with a credit card but they let me know and waited while I ran to the bank to get cash. I just used this company last Thursday and it was a great experience from start to finish!! The movers called ahead of time they arrived on time and went right to work!!! They did not stop until they were finished!! No wasting time!!! This was every bit of a 4 hour job!!! Lots of stairs! None of my items were damaged or missing!!! I had them move a ton of weights and excercise equipment up those stairs and they did it with a smile!!! I was completely stunned!!! Just 2 men there box truck and 2 hand dollys!!
