When I called back to confirm the cancellation, the person on the other end chose to blame her AI system, then the call service... not an apology, not trying to rectify it... just a 3 day late appointment and an attitude. 2 stars because people on the phone were very nice... but it would have been great if they kept an appointment or their word on the phone in 85 degree weather. For reference, here is my experience: - booked appointment last night due to the emergency nature, agreed to pay additional cost for a service call - right after, I received a confirmation email - considering how everyone else in this business seems to see appointments as suggestions, I decided to call in and confirm just to be sure at noon (apt from noon to 4). - person on the phone who was great told me that he saw the appointment but there wasn't anyone assigned to it. He said he couldnt do much but he would call dispatch urgently and then get right back to me. - an hour later (25% of the appointment window), I hadent heard back so I called back again. - the weekend scheduler (who was very nice) was unable to see anything or transfer me to anyone else. So on a long weekend, 85 degree weather, air conditioning out and set an appointment with $170 weekend service charge (give or take) scheduled, we didnt call anyone else assuming that this company kept its appointments. Happy Labor Day to you too!!!!!!!!

Yelp Review…read more Briarwood Heating and Cooling did a phenomenal job! We were especially impressed that they are a truly family-owned and operated company, and that personal touch really came through in the exceptional service we received. After getting a second opinion, we decided to have them install a new AC system, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Luke was wonderful to work with--professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. On installation day, the team was efficient, courteous, and did an excellent job. We truly appreciate the experience we had with the entire Briarwood team and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of heating or cooling services. We will absolutely use them again in the future!

I was concerned that the pipes would freeze, although I had a gas fireplace to help with the inside temperature. Adam came out and diagnosed the faulty heat exchanger and explained, in depth, why the 9 year old furnace was not operating and could be dangerous. He walked me through what needed to be done and properly sized and installed a new furnace. He also connected some of the ductwork that was obstructed and/or not connected correctly. I am very grateful to Cooley Mechanical, Adam, and his crew, for the quick job that they did, the price, and the clean up afterward on such short notice. They went above and beyond to ensure that our house had the heat safely and affordable restored during one of the coldest periods of the year! Thank you Cooley Mechanical! Definitely going to "Keep it Cooley" when I have future HVAC issues.

All companies explained it was a more complicated job than usual due to some our home's dynamics, which we understood, but they spent more time than any other company measuring and investigating during the initial visit. This was crucial in setting a fantastic example of their customer service. John was great with his communication through e-mail, texts, and phone calls. The team completed the job a couple hours earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. The guys were great with our two dogs and two children trying to watch the whole time, for which I was most grateful (and apologetic). We've had the new a/c for a few weeks with no issues and are very satisfied customers! They left without a trace - I'd definitely recommend them!

Edit: We just had them back out to install a new ductless mini-split system to cool our home and their work was, yet again, top notch! For both heating and cooling they are prompt, courteous, and I've never seen cleaner work.
