Shelby Mechanical

I had Shelby Mechanical come out for a plugged and leak under a bathroom sink. Conner told me they…read moretried every which way to unplug the sink and it was solid like cement under the house and the pipe was filled with rust because of old pipes. I received and estimate from Shelby Mechanical of 1,100.00 to go under the house and replace these pipes. I had G&C Sewer and Plumbing come out, for a 2nd opinion, and did not tell them anything of what Shelby Mechanical told me. After 5 minutes he came out and said "the drain is clear". I said "that's it"? He said "yes, usually sink plugs are fast to correct. He charged me 125.00 and it's been 4 days now everything appears to be just fine and running like normal.

Please do not trust this company and allow them to come in for your plumbing needs! The plumbers…read morecome and say something about your issue ans then their supervisor comes and says something else! They really do not know their jobs and they do not really realize what they are doing. They did damage to my under sink cabinet by cutting a big hole to ultimately find out if the piping attached to the wall is at least 2 inches wide according to the Code ! Ultimately they figured out it being 2 inches wide and another week, their so called supervisor came stating that it must be 3" and who says that code asks for 2 " !!! Omg! After all these , the damage to cabinet and wasting of my time & energy, they don't have consistency and everyone said to me something different I think that they are soo unable to perform a simple plumbing job like connecting a drainage hose to the wall not to mention doing major plumbing tasks! Just stay away from this company please!

Macomb Water Heater - New water heater

Macomb Water Heater

We gave Macomb Water Heater a call and they were at our home a few hours later to install a new hot…read morewater heater. The installer was right on time and the service was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and polite. Their estimate was a tad more than what we expected, but after looking at this company's five star ratings, we decided to hire them for the job. We are very happy we did. In the past, we purchased a hot water heater from a big box retailer and long story short, it wasn't the best choice. Don't hesitate to hire this company. You'll be both satisfied and glad you did. Another well deserved 5 star rating for this company.

We needed a newly purchased water heater installed. Home Depot recommended this company, which is…read morealso known as Interstar, Inc. We were requesting quotes from other companies as well. The installation was priced at $1,000 by the woman on the phone. She asked us questions about the new and old water heaters. I asked her how much the installation would cost without the removal of the old water heater. She said in a snotty tone, "Doesn't matter. It's still $1,000. It's part of a package." They outrageously overcharge for installations. Permits, licensed contractor labor, and materials do not even add up to half of their price. Two other companies quoted us prices that were less than half. The national average is between $1,200 and $2,300, according to Home Depot's website. This price includes acquiring a new water heater. This condescending woman was aware that we already have one. Save your money
