He used ingenuity & Gr8 craftsmanship to fixe the flange & then installed the toilet. My bathroom has been enhanced!

I went to my handy dandy guide Yelp to find a reputable plumber/plumbing company. I looked at a few companies and opted for WaterWork Plumbing based on their Yelp rating and location. They were rated a 4.0 out of 5. They were located in a neighboring city. I called on a Friday afternoon and was given an appointment for Monday. No problem! To my surprise, I received a callback that a plumber had become available and could come right then. I was excited to get my toilet situation addressed on the same day. Mark was the dispatched plumber. He was on-time, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to change my push button flusher to a traditional handle one. He also replaced the cap and hoses in the tank to prevent a future call. He even adjusted my water valve to the proper level to have the toilet fill back up quickly. At some point, someone had dialed down the water causing it to fill up slowly. Mark was the man for this day for me! It was the answer for the problem and he was able to eliminate future problems. This was worth every dime that was spent and they get five stars from me. I also have added them as a contact in my phone should I need their services again.

We called to have our furnace looked at as we had no heat. When the technician came he said the…read morethere was a major part that needed to be replaced but it was under warrantee. It took several days to get the part in and once it was installed I was handed a bill for $2000. I was told that $500 of that bill was to return the old part to the manufacturer. Upon investigating I found out that the manufacturer covers the cost of returning defective parts under warrantee and this repair should have been around $500 to $600. I requested an itemized bill from them and was told that they don't do that and was ignored when I made further inquiries. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We woke up to no heat, made the call to Handy Brothers and within the next half hour at the least Sheldon arrived to face repairs to a twenty odd year old furnace. Within the next hour, he diagnosed and explained the problem, got the heat running, knowledgeably and efficiently answered all our questions, helped us ( through a low-pressure conversation) choose the best replacement furnace for our home and while waiting to be sure the furnace was going to run efficiently, he put a new switch on the fireplace. Great technician and fantastic service from the phone call to this posting. (They have already called to make arrangements to come measure for the new low energy, high efficiency furnace unit). In all the years we have called on Handy Brothers for their knowledge, expertise, maintenance and purchasing we have never been disappointed. Highly recommend Sheldon for his personable approach, level of knowledge and obvious skill since we are warm as toast now!

RE: DEMAND FOR REMEDY - DEFECTIVE/UNDERSIZED HVAC INSTALLATION AT 14162 F. Drive Plymouth MI 48170…read moreTo Ed Gross, I am writing to formally demand a resolution regarding the central air conditioning system your company installed at my property located at 14162 F. Drive Plymouth MI 48170 on May 1, 2024. Per our agreement, your company was hired to assess my home's cooling requirements and install an appropriately sized central air conditioning unit. Your untrained technicians installed a 1.5-ton unit in my 1156 square foot home with you on the phone providing directions from a soccer game up north, this system has been an enormous problem during and after installation. The unit is too small, a 2-2.5-ton unit should have been installed in the home. The calculations for the appropriate unit were never done, this was admitted and you had provided a verbal guarantee several times that you would make this right. Now you are ghosting me and refuse to take my calls. Since the installation, there have been several issues, and the system has failed to adequately cool my home. The property consistently fails to reach a comfortable temperature, and the unit runs continuously without cycling off, resulting in an immediate and significant inflation of my monthly utility bills. To determine the cause of these performance issues, I obtained an independent inspection from a licensed HVAC professional This has been verified by Colonial Heating and Cooling and DTE, both stated this was inappropriately installed/undersized for the square footage. A Manual J load calculation was conducted, which conclusively determined that my home requires a minimum of a 2-ton unit to function properly. The independent inspector confirmed that the unit your company installed is substantially undersized for the square footage and thermal load of this property. By calculating the incorrect load specifications and installing an undersized unit, your company has breached its obligations to provide a functional, properly specified cooling system and has failed to perform services in a workmanlike manner. To resolve this matter amicably without resorting to legal action, I demand that Ed Gross/ Great Lakes Heating and Cooling take one of the following actions: 1. Replace the currently installed undersized unit with a brand-new unit of the correct size 2 Tons at no additional cost to me, including all labor, parts, and permitting fees, within 14 days of the date of this letter. 2. Provide a full refund of the original agreed amount so that I may hire a reputable independent contractor to remove the incorrect unit and install a properly sized system. Please be advised that if this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction by December 1, 2026, I will pursue all available legal remedies. This includes filing a formal complaint with the state contractor licensing board, reporting this matter to the Better Business Bureau, and initiating an action in small claims court to recover the full cost of a replacement system, independent inspection fees, and any associated economic damages. I expect to hear from you within 10 business days to coordinate a resolution.
