We had another pricey quote for lower-end equipment than Ciamillo offered. Another company said we'd have to wait because they were busy. Ciamillo gave us a very reasonable quote without the need to haggle, and were done in a couple of days. They told us A/C would have to be turned ON the next summer, and they showed up and did it when the time came. They also registered all our warranties for us without us even asking about it, which was very professional and caring of them. If we stayed in the area, we'd have them do all HVAC work in the future. They're an honest business in their industry. Highly recommended!

I wound up breaking the igniter on my gas furnace. Lol. We had Ciamillo out before so I called them. They had someone here in less than an hour. Mason was our service technician. He thoroughly checked out the furnace which is over 20 years old. He was unable to light the furnace manually and eventually determined the gas valve was not functioning (in addition to the broken igniter) and showed me how he knew that. He left for 45 minutes to get the parts, came back and we had heat before noon. So, basically it was prompt services, Mason was very competent, informative and friendly, and I was very satisfied with Ciamillo. The price was more than I anticipated, but I don't really know what the average rate would be for the repairs that were done. Apparently the price of parts has shot up dramatically this year like everything else, so I believe the price was fair.

I do not recommend Detroit Furnace A plumber from Detroit…read moreFurnace came out to my home due to plumbing issues; all of the toilets and sinks were backing up or draining slowly. After looking at all of the toilets, the Detroit Furnace plumber stated that there was not an issue. Before the plumber left, I was able to replicate the issue. The plumber then stated that it could be caused by a number of things, all of which were not covered by DTE's Home Protection Plan, however for $375 he would start by snaking out one of the toilets to see if that was the problem. Believing this to be a scam, i.e. the plumber stated that he wasn't sure of the problem but would charge $375 to initiate a possible solution, I refused. Due to my extreme dissatisfaction with Detroit Furnace, the Home Protection Plan honored my request and sent out another company. The plumber from the other company was professional and very knowledgeable. This other plumber was able to immediately diagnose and resolve the issue, which was covered by my plan.

He spent probably 3.5 hrs and charged me for little over 2 hours and helped me change my wiring to my compressor for free too! Extremely nice guy and doesn't try to rush anything. He was so nice and took his time to help and answer any question I had. Even though it was past 8pm and he worked all day, i found out he still had a service after mine for a corporate facility which was over an hour away! I was impressed with his patience + time he took with me and was also lucky that his corporate service after didn't require him there at a specific time. He was also really good at talking to my insurance companies and knew how to communicate effectively when I had little to no success. He even offered to help me install my nest thermostat for free when I decided to get a new compressor unit later this year! Also I was low on freon and he charged me to recharge but stated when I decided to get a new compressor he could deduct the recharge cost out as well. By the time he left I had cool air and everything was working as it should! He was pretty much on time and called about 45 mins prior letting me know he be about 15 mins late which was no big deal and great that he called. The tech performed work and charged us without asking. All we need was a switch flipped and a filter changed. They charged an extra $75 on top of the $90 diagnostic for work we could have performed for free ourselves. Very unhappy to be charged for work I didn't ask him to complete. Be sure to hawk over any tech working on my home from now on to ensure you are properly charged. - The issue is not that I don't think they performed work, rather that they should have presented the charges before completing the work as they were called for a diagnostic. I'm not sure how you can diagnose without checking pressures and refrigerants. So if all of that was "free extras" what was the extra $75 charge for???

This guy came in, saw what we had, measured the house, sized up al the radiators, then gave advice for type, btu, and brand. They were a bit more than half the price of others with a good warranty and historically good brand. Buyer beware others want to quote 20% for boiler and 80% labor. They were in and out in one day. Inspector took 5 minutes to approve. Highly recommend.
