Nick and Lavian noted that my furnace had been recalled on a recent visit. They didn't try to sell me anything, they just checked it extra carefully. They were both rigorous and knowledgeable. Something is wrong with this company. I have read that it has been sold. I recently had a new furnace and AC installed by Randazzo. Today I discovered that my AC was not working. I called for an appointment but all I could speak to was voicemail - no real agent. The voicemail gave me an appointment for 3 weeks out and a $95 service charge, ouch!! The only reason for giving the 3 stars instead of 1 is for my salesperson. He has been great answering questions and actually just called me back and explained that if you say "talk to a live person" you can get beyond the irritating voicemail. Anyway, a big shoutout to Brian E. for his honesty and assistance. FYI, I resolved the problem myself. The installation people apparently left the AC breaker in the off position. read more

I've struggled whether or not to post this review, but after some research, and finding out that the Randazzo family does not own this anymore, I'm not hesitant at all. This is long, so hold on. I'm incredibly upset at the quote and interaction my mom had with them. Here's why: My dad passed away about 3 years ago. They had a generator installed back in 2014-ish, by Randazzo's as best as we can tell. Dad took good care of the house and the generator until about a year prior to his passing when he was struggling with some health issues. Us kids all chip in to help, but the generator sort of slipped our minds cause it was reliable and worked great. A few months ago it quit doing its normal cycle, and we realized probably needed some service. Mom had a card for Randazzo's attached to some documentation for the generator and called them out. It was ~100 for them just to come out and evaluate the unit. No service, just to evaluate. My mom is an incredibly trusting person, and so when they handed her a quote for $3300 !!!! (yes, you read that right, and the technician also mentioned it was getting close to time to replace it, and the could give her some good end of year deals ) she told them to go ahead with the service quote. I'm extremely thankful they couldn't do it that day, and that she called me. I had her waive off the service, to get a second opinion. Shame on you Randazzos. Straight cash grab, taking advantage of a 80 year old woman who knows little about these things because her husband used to handle these things for her. Massive shout-out to Osburn services, who came out and got her running for $423, which included a battery change, oil and filter and sparks. Generator is back to running like a champion now. I won't comment on the quality of their work, since we didn't have any work done, but I certainly won't be recommending them or sending any work their way, not when they apparently are accustomed to taking advantage of customers in this way. I requested service on my furnace and they made me wait days, over multiple visits. When they did arrive they acted like this was on me, the customer, for not identifying the issue beyond "my furnace is burning out and stops working for hours at a time". Im not an hvac tech, if I knew what the problem was id fix it myself. Finally got another company Edwards heating and plumbing to identify the issue. The filters I was using werent letting enough air through and the furnace was overheating and cutting itself off. I switched to the merv rating they recommended and havnt had the daily problem in three months. They also stopped taking my calls when I wanted a third visit at no cost. Go anywhere else. read more

I contacted Randazzo for an emergency HVAC issue -- my household was experiencing carbon monoxide symptoms and needed urgent help. I had booked a service/repair call as it needed repair asap. The technician who arrived informed me he could not perform the repair and that they were weeks out for service. Despite doing no work and despite the company's own website advertising free estimates, I was told I owed a $95 dispatch fee. When I asked to be invoiced, the technician refused to leave my home until I paid him in cash on the spot. He became intimidating and would not go despite multiple requests. I was left with no choice but to call the police and file a formal police report just to get him to leave my property. This was not a billing dispute. This was a man refusing to leave my home. When I contacted the company, they agreed to waive the fee but offered no meaningful apology and defended the technician's conduct. This was a frightening and completely unacceptable experience, particularly during a medical emergency. I would strongly urge anyone, especially families, to look elsewhere before calling this company. read more

Run , not walk for these folks. Had a brand new AC and furnace installed First time forgot to fill the refrigerant. Town inspector failed inspection because of that. Then first big heat of the year and the AC quit working. Been on the phone with them for past three hours trying to book an appointment to repair brand new AC. If you have made the mistake of hiring this company to work on your furnace, make sure your furnace is working properly before their tech leaves your driveway. After we had a tech come out to do an inspection that we had a coupon for, he literally left us in the cold. The furnace was only blowing cold air out and it was winter. We called back the company and explained the situation only to have them tell us that they would schedule an emergency call between 8am and 12pm and it would cost us $200.00 (about six years ago) for them just to come out. I was absolutely mad because it was now freezing in the house and they didn't have anyone that could come back immediately to fix it. I went to the furnace myself and took off the panel only to see that the technician did not reconnect the automatic pilot wires. I connected those myself, made sure the furnace worked again, canceled their service and made them aware that you don't mess with people. Don't use them...ever. read more

I bought a brand new furnace and AC in March 17th of 2025. Heating works perfectly fine. Turn the AC on April 27th and it does not work. Randazzo comes out and says the refrigerant wasn't charged from manufacture. Understandable, mistakes happen. AC doesn't even last a day. Randazzo comes back out at the end of May to see if there is a leak (Obviously there is) but say they can't find it, so they refill it with refrigerant and say run it everyday and schedule me in July to come back to check on it. AC doesn't last a day again, call them back out to come find the leak that I know is there. They find the leak this time and say the coil needs to be replaced. At this point, you would think they would offer to replace the unit, being it is so new and the coil basically being the main component. NOPE. They are going to replace the coil, per their warranty. Was told if I want a new unit to take it up with Lennox. Why should I have to do that, you are the one that sold me the faulty AC?? I get sold a faulty AC, take two months to finally find the problem, and all they are gonna do is replace the coil? I never even used the unit, so why should I have deal with a replacement part already? It should be brand new like I expected when I bought the unit. If it was something minor like a hose was not tighten or had a hole in it I would have let it slide, but not when a component of the AC has to be replaced. On top of all of this, I have to wait another week to even get it fixed, so it would be the end of June when I can finally use the AC. I was more than patient and understanding with Randazzo for 2 months. Never complained, even wrote their technicians nice reviews and this is how I get treated? read more

We had an emergency call out for the evening. it's 100° in the house. Finally get a call at 7:30 your tech is HERE. Um NO he was not. The worst part of it all is you CANNOT call anyone!!!!!! Had work done and technician didn't do work properly. Talked to Kendal (Manager) and he told me i was a scammer when i asked them to come back out to fix. He told me i would have to pay an additional service fee if it wasnt an issue pertaining to the work which i wasnt confrotable agreeing to knowing that work was just completed. He told me he spoke to the tech. He told me this whole story about how i was just trying to lie to someone who would be purchasing my home. The gaslighting was insane from this guy. I went back to check what was completed and it turns out the fuse was not plugged in on my ac unit. Something that i ended up luckily figuring out. This may mot be the same for seniors or others that need a company to be reputable or understand what to do. Not only did the tech not complete the work properly but, the manager called me a scammer and tried gaslighting me when i thought i was picking a company who would back the work they complete and take responsibility. He told me he refund me and then added the condition that if i left a negative review elsewhere he would then charge my card again. Don't fall for the ads or the positive reviews like i did. This company is about making money and not backing the work they complete. Its unfortunate that a company like this employees people like this and don't back the work they do. Dont trust a word they tell you. Find a smaller company focused on service. Money and numbers follow kendal. They do not lead. Remember that and pass that down to your team. I called him back to tell him i found the issue being the fuse because i wanted to let him know the tech and the interaction before this was insane and he continued to tell me he fired me as a customer when i told him that this was no way to treat clients. So I ask them to come over for repair. They send a salesman that doesn't even look at the ac or furnace and said you need a new one with options between 9 and $18,000. I take the $10,000 option. Team comes and the head installer was a complete jerk and 'won't let his guys go into the crawl space'. Ok. Job done. 2 months later turn on the heat to blowing out cold air. Takes over an hour for them to answer and then they say 'tomorrow'. They don't care it's freezing in my house. They have their $10,000. So. I sit here and wait for them to maybe come fix this. Dear Randazzo, First of all I would like to say that this has been THE worse experience WE have had to deal with. On June 21, 2025 ONE of many hot days to follow this fiasco. Our AC went out! We made the call to have it fixed, who would have thought that one day would turn into 19 grueling days. First you don't have the part, you have to order the part, that's going to take a week, really! This is your job, you install air conditioners, why don't you have the part! Get the part a week later, install the part, the part doesn't work, we have a bigger problem that can't be fixed, the compressor has a oil leak (whatever that means) and the whole system has to be shut down and another part has to be ordered which is going to take another 11 days, what do you mean! You don't have a stock of parts for emergencies like this? Make this make sense! Oh my gosh! If you've noticed since the 21st of June there has not been one day under 90 degrees and at night is just as bad. I am asthmatic and you can't imagine being in this heat with box fans blowing hot air. No I could not just pack up my things and go stay in an hotel I have a dog that has suffered also and no I couldn't go and stay with someone, that was not an option, I was not going to leave my house. You offered no apologies, you have done nothing to ensure your great customer service that I see advertised every commercial break on tv! They just charged me $156 for a $7 fuse that should have been covered under my parts warranty. terrible service, I had a technician come out, I told them exactly where I was having a gas leak. it is the gas line coming off my furnace, he sat up in my attic for about an hour and said yup that's definitely where it's leaking. but I cannot fix it being I don't have a gas certification mind you when I called to have them come out I told them I need my gas line fixed that day. said I would need to reschedule and the quote would be for $600 to undo one gas line and put it back together which he couldn't even do himself. then I asked to do a gas check around the other to gas appliances stove and dryer, he told me that he wouldn't be able to do that, that it was to much work to move said items. so where I'm trying to protect my family from a gas explosion or inhaling fumes, so the guy who I called out for that exact reason didn't do a single thing to help my family on top of charging me $100 worse company I have ever seen. read more

We purchased a Lennox Signature Series high efficiency heating and air conditioning unit a few years ago. We came home last night to a very hot house. Called this morning for service and was told it would be 2 weeks for a technician to come out. Just a warning....if you really need them in an emergency.....I wouldn't rely on them for service! Originally we got the brochure from Costco that recommends Randazzo. Called Aladdin Heating and Cooling and they are coming out tomorrow to fix Randazzo's problem! Randazzo Manger Literally said: "Let me grab some tissues for you. You're lucky I cancelled your appointment so I didn't come to your house and tell you no, then charge you $95". I Scheduled a simple appointment to just relocate my outdoor A/C unit around a corner of my house, to accommodate my new patio being installed. This is a $495 service, according to Danielle. I scheduled the appointment and received the text message to thank me for scheduling the appointment and a conformation of the date and time. Excellent thus far. I get a TEXT MESSAGE the following week to inform me that Danielle is not so helpful and their "Company Policy" is they only offer this service to existing customers. That would have been fine, if Danielle told me that and the appointment wasn't made. So now it's a week later and days from my patio installation. I asked to speak to a manager, whom called me later that day. Apparently literally anyone can be a "manager" at Randazzo. It's not as though they do not perform this service, they just don't for new customers. So it's an internal policy they could easily waive since Danielle made a mistake, not me "the customer". $$$$$$$ - FOR EVERYTHING AFTER INSTALL! My unit is 6 years old. They have covered nothing. The labor alone has been astronomical. $87.50 to install a (one) fuse that is $5.00 at home depot. That's on top of a $95.00 diagnostic fee to come out and have me tell them what is wrong. The last guy that came out added freon as a "favor". Now I'm seeing that it's so they could get it closer to the end of my joke of a warranty on the parts. The technician wanted to pump nitrogen into the unit and run a lighter up and down the line to find a leak. Then another $2000 for labor (or more) to fix the problem and refill the freon which is $1500. Oh, and the first guy that came out two years ago to service the unit when we had the same problem, conveniently left the cap off the freon, so they would have a point of reference to play the blame game. I'd rather get another unit from somewhere else (Iceberg heating and cooling - the come out and do service checks every fall and every spring to make sure their unit is working in tip top shape for the full ten years), than give these guys another cent. I'm just not interested in trying to work with a company that doesn't stand behind their product. Save your apology Randazzo, everybody knows it's fake. read more

We've had two full furnace/AC systems installed, a whole-house generator and a Mitsubishi mini-split using Randazzo for all of it. My mini-split went in at the end of March. We went to use it at the beginning of June and it wasn't working. Scheduled a service visit. Reported that parts inside the Mitsubishi are faulty from the factory, would need to be taken off the wall with a 2-man crew, would have to schedule for a return visit. This was June 24. The followup visit is scheduled July 12th. 3 weeks without our new unit, which we paid top dollar for. When running, it's quiet. It's a heat-pump. It dehumidifies. When running, it's amazing. But with attention for a NEW INSTALL like this, it's disappointing. And I asked to speak with a supervisor with no response. Here's hoping for 20 years of satisfaction, after July 12th. read more

Water pouring all over my floor...2 weeks for them to come out. 63 degrees in my house....2 weeks to get them out. The good: Pricing and financing options are competitive. Also scheduling an estimate, installation and service are quick and easy. The not so great: I had my quote, install and service done during the height of COVID. I wore a mask whenever someone entered my house. The representatives would not voluntarily put on a mask unless I asked, which felt a little awkward. The scary: A few weeks after install, I started smelling gas fumes around the furnace. I called for inspectors to investigate. They quickly identified the gas leak and fixed the issue. They then spent a total of 2 minutes looking at the hook ups and put "inspected" green stickers on the furnace and AC unit. The terrifying: About 1 year later, the furnace failed during a cold winter's night. I had a technician come out the next day to troubleshoot. While poking around, he removed the faceplate cover on the AC coils (which sits right above the furnace-heating element). Attached to the inside of the faceplate were charred paper installation instructions. The technician cringes and says, "oh wow, those shouldn't be in there. Those really shouldn't be in there." Randazzo seems to have the structure and customer service to be a great company. However, they need to spend some more time training service providers. In this training, they need to learn how to be more thorough with checking their work as well as taking time to do a great job. read more

Randazzo's has done three projects for me. The last one had a hiccup. This company has gone out of their way to make it right, at a mighty out of their pocket cost. I could not be more pleased with their acceptance of responsibility. The crew was here for a full day...pleasant and knowledgeable. All this and the cost of product was absorbed by Randazzo. My career was in construction and I am aware of the effort this company preformed to correct the issue. We are on the twice-yearly maintenance plan and Randazzo wasn't able to schedule a summer appointment until August. In the meantime, our AC unit malfunctioned. They told us it would be a month until they could come out and fix it. They don't seem to have enough techs to provide adequate coverage. Moved onto another company. read more

They replaced 2 furnaces and one AC unit and I don't kow any better so I thought it was fine. The following year the other AC unit broke and they came out and said it was leaking fluid and charged us $700 to fix it. It broke again in 2 weeks. We had another company look at it and they said they didn't even clean the unit after they replaced the fluids. It needed to be replaced but they bought me another month just by cleaning it and charged $100. They said the furnace install was "interesting" as they should have cut the vents instead of leaving the original that had to work harder to push the air through. When he looked at it he said, "let me guess, Randazzo?" They have by far the highest pricing in town and I will never go back after this last issue. Do yourself a favor and shop around. read more

The service technician was polite, kind and friendly himself - would give 5 out of 5 stars just to him for being so kind and professional. The company itself on the other hand, I would only give 1 star. When signing up for their annual "membership", not once did the woman who I signed up with ask how many furnaces or units we have in our home. Throughout our entire call, I was only told it was a yearly membership with automatic renewals and included weekend service calls for emergencies. Great - I was sold and signed up/gave her my credit card for an annual membership, and set a date for our first service. Skip to our first service and I'm told by the technician that for two furnaces/units, you have to pay for two memberships. I told him I was unaware of this, so I called their main line and waited on the phone for 28 minutes until customer service was able to answer my call. I explained to her what transpired, and was immediately met with defensiveness, with her stating loudly "That is not true!". Fast forward through our conversation, it did end up being true.. The entire call, this woman was short and rude towards me - at one point stating "that's just how it is". She alone affirmed my decision to not want to work with this company any longer. This company would do well in helping their customer service learn how to be kind and polite to customers on the phone, especially when their lack of communication is what caused the misunderstanding/issues in the first place. read more

Something to keep in mind when using Randazzo service. First, they do a good job and the service people are fine. But after the initial $95 diagnostic charge, you will need to ask about the parts charges. My furnace humidifier needed repair; basically, a new filter and a plastic water supply line. They charged $139 for the approximately 8" plastic supply tube. I checked online and found the exact line was $25. I unde3rstand that there is an installation charge but that took realistically about five minutes. That's quite the markup. When I called the service manager, Kendall, about the charge he was really brusque and said, "we have to charge for labor and road time" ($95 had already been added for getting to my home and taking the cover off the unit). While I expect to pay more for Randazzo I don't expect to get rude treatment and a "sorry, that's what it is." Just keep it in mind. It'll cost you. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Had a Randazzo's technician come out for regular seasonal maintenance. Hours after he left, our basement was flooded and the air is no longer working. Coincidence? Unlikely. They sent someone else out for a service call and he couldn't help. Customer service basically told me to kick rocks, without video proof the technician did something wrong. Installed a new Furnace and AC unit. If you have a two stage system.... do yourself a favor and do not call them. 1) The initial installation was very bad. The team did not even connect certain parts to power properly . First service they came in and did that. 2) Now my second floor was constantly calling for heat , but heat was not reaching that floor. So the furnace was always running and the floor one was hot. Second service call they fixed it. 3) Since it was December they couldn't test the AC. At this point I got nervous and said "I want the AC to be tested when it is time" 4) Now it is June for the last 2 months I am trying to get the AC work properly. The service men coming in seems to be having no knowledge of two stage and they keep adjusting the thermostat and tell me that I have to keep it a certain way to get it working. Which I tried and it failed. 5) I did have a system before this for 12 years which gave me no trouble. Every time scheduling a service takes 20 days roughly and at this point they are trying to tell me this is how it is supposed to work. I will surely file a complaint after this time since I spent 14k. This is for a MI review. Not able to change the state. read more
