A few days after the visit and no follow up I call the office to check the status of my price reduction request. The office manager (Andrea) says it's just out of warranty and I would have to pay the full price however imaging that they have on file from three years ago while it was under warranty shows that the molar was cracked and chipped years prior. The dentist office never pointed out the issue or suggested that it should be replaced while it was under warranty. Instead, they said that was my fault for not noticing while it was under warranty. I requested that they escalate the issue. Andrea the office manager said I would have to take it up with the Dentist who no longer works at their location as she has already discussed the matter with her regional mgr Jason Gambill. After several reluctant attempts and heavy sighs of annoyance the office manager finally gives me the contact information for Dr Doan. As it turns out the dentist.Dr Doan still works for ideal dental and is the VP of operating practices and training. I've reached out to his prosper/ Frisco location but he never returned my phone call. If you are considering establishing care at ideal dental I strongly urge you to reconsider as there are several reputable dental offices just across the street..

A couple maybe were having an off day but nothing rude or anything. Hey not everyone wants to small talk with patients. Yes as a front end staffer you should, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt that some are overwhelmed in this day and age. Medical Assistant - such a sweetheart. The face of this place is her in my mind lol. She was so nice and made the X-rays simple and less painful (yes as an adult I will admit they hurt and are annoying). She made the start of my appt worth the wait. The hygienist - Very sweet and not too heavy handed, although I did have some bleeding and some pain after. I also did get the laser cleaning done so maybe some of the pain was from that. Overall chatting with her about mom life was fun and she made me comfortable. The dentist - Okay here is why I knock off a star... I didn't like her. If I need any work done, I'll be going elsewhere. Why? I was called "honey" and "sweetheart" more than 10x and it's just obnoxious. Who does that?! It made me extremely uncomfortable and it was not professional. Maybe some dude may appreciate that, or a child... but no, not really.. and you don't know people's triggers or trauma so perhaps just chill out with the nonsense. Any training teaches professionals how to act in a professional setting. That was NOT it. If it were a man doing it someone would have filed a sexual harassment case on them. But a woman gets a pass by most, but not me. I don't like to complain about most things (not to say I won't, but I don't like to) but that is one I will. I am a victim advocate and it was unsettling. Aside from all that cringe, it was standard check and as I knew already, I had no concerns and I wasn't pushed to do any extras. Billing - no issues thus far. They charged me the agreed amount for my laser cleaning and my regular copay and I had no issues with my teeth so nothing else was charged. Overall I would have to give it 4 stars but keep in mind I had an exam and a cleaning with some X-rays lol. I didn't go in for a full mouth restoration or even minor work. I have had care from some of the BEST in CA so I may look elsewhere for those things but for basic needs met, these guys are great. YMMV.

do not come here. i am new to dallas, and this was my first and only time going here…read more let me paint you a vivid scene - i walk in, greeted by the receptionist. after i do paperwork, i notice she's online shopping for summer sandals. her computer screen is fully visible from the waiting area. a lil odd, but okay slay, because the sandals were cute. but also... this is a place of work? maybe do this on your time off? whatever. okay, moving on. x-rays were easy enough. i'm 24, in good health - I floss and brush my teeth every day. in fact, i am pretty proud of how i take care of my teeth. they found my second-ever cavity and offered to fill it. i didn't even have sensitivity in the area, so i was a little shocked and bummed, but (in that moment) glad they caught it. thinking it would be convenient, and having scoped out the yelp reviews in advance, i felt okay getting it filled same day during my annual cleaning. so i signed for it, and they got to work. but that's where it all went downhill. the dentist gave me two numbing shots. i don't love needles, but they felt as expected going in. what i did NOT expect was for the dentist to immediately start drilling on my molar without letting the numbing shots take effect. IMMEDIATE PAIN. i told the dentist, and he literally said, "oops," then gave me another shot. as he was giving me the third numbing shot, the first two finally started kicking in. whatever. that was uncomfortable, but i let it pass. the rest of the drilling was uncomfortable but not painful, so again, i was like... whatever, it's fine. they finished the filling, dentist is like "bite down. how does that feel?" i bite down. i couldn't feel anything because i was all numbed up. so i ask, "i'm not sure...i can't tell. will this be an issue with my retainer at night?" because i'm thorough, and what if it doesn't fit with the new filling? the dentist says, and i quote, "oh, i don't know, it shouldn't be a problem. come back if it is." ...like my dude. i am numbed up. i cannot feel where my teeth are hitting. shouldn't you, of all people know or least have an idea, since you're the specialist?? anyway, i leave, and there's this weird residual throbbing in my upper jaw. i gaslight myself - "oh, well, the dude DID just drill all up in there, it's probably just sore." nope. nope. nope. something was up. something was NOT right. once the numbing wore off, i had high sensitivity - to pressure, to hot, to cold... to WIND?!? like if i took a breath too quickly, it hurt?? ALL new symptoms, none of which i even had BEFORE the filling. mind you, this happened not even two months ago. earlier this past week, i was casually chewing bread on the filling, and suddenly SHOOTING PAIN. "OH CRAP," i think to myself. this is a problem. and now, this problem is worse than before. something is very, VERY wrong. today, i finally got into the dentist my boyfriend uses and swears by. they took x-rays, and guess what? MIDWAY FAMILY DENTISTRY DIDN'T EVEN FILL THE CAVITY FULLY. the filling didn't bond correctly to the tooth. and they didn't shave it down properly. so not only did my cavity potentially progress, but my tooth might have cracked too from their poor workmanship. the new dentist (i like him) is a bro and literally was scratching his head like, "what did they DO to you??" and i'm like "I DON'T KNOW!!! the filling was not even TWO MONTHS AGO!!!" and now the new dentist bro is contemplating a ROOT CANAL, not even a filling redo. for reference - this cavity was small. still is small. it's between two teeth. but mr. midway family dentistry got just close enough to the tooth's nerve that the new dentist is hesitant to even redo the filling. like... what? Thankfully, I found another dentist who was able to quickly correct the issue and create a temporary crown that matched my teeth much more closely. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dentist.
