Been going to Dr Lo at Texas Dental for many years. He is a friendly, patient Doctor and artist. I always have a nice chat about gaming with my hygienist guy. Sorry his name slipped my mind. All my long life, I had a gap in my front teeth with ancient caps. Dr Lo gave me options and recently I chose to replace the 1980s era caps and I am very pleased with the results. He works with a top notch lab, Artifex Dental Laboratory. Paul is an artist as well. read more

Not impressed. 1st visit was ok, but thought it odd that they never showed me x-rays they just talked at me. The cleaning and services were rushed and nothing as I have had in the past at other places. They seemed pretty angry that I opted to not have an expensive procedure done. I have good insurance and it being the first time the bill was over $150. I paid it and went on my merry way. 6 months later they hounded me to come in for a cleaning. That ended up with them telling me that they needed to take an xray with the cleaning. With the doctor spending no more than maybe 5 minutes with me both visits and out another $120. Now to today, I walk in to the front desk, the first I spoke to was a bit rude and tells me that I have to pay my co-pay up-front of $210 for a cleaning? and xrays that the insurance covers. Telling me the insurance only covers 50%. No they only cover 50% of your inflated prices. This place is a money mill, they dont really care about their patients only how much money they can get out of them. read more

Don't waste your time and money going to this practice. It is a money mill, they were charging me for days I didn't even have an appointment When brought to the office managers attention, she had all sorts of excuses and arguments and was very rude. All they care about is money. They are very nice and happy when you're there but believe me they are charging you for every minute you are there.Even the dental hygienist asked me if I wanted fluoride because my insurance would pay for it. Needless to say I got a bill for $61 after insurance. This place is a money mistake, I wish someone would have told me. They don't take most of dental insurance and they charged an outrageous fee for a regular cleaning. They canceled my first appointment without notifying me, and the ladies on the phone sounded like they really "love" their jobs. Never again. This group is always on point. From cleanings to implants. I usually use Shane Ricci , but both Dr. Lo and Dr. Lazaris are just as fantastic. Their staff is great and likes to have fun. My husband (Chris) has extreme anxiety about seeing a dentist. Due to his job as a truck driver, he's had to see 3 different dentists in the last year. Now he is in Texas for good and it was time to find a permanent dentist. Dr. Lo came highly recommended by my boss. Chris had a discolored front tooth. It was due to a childhood trauma. I took him to my dentist and that dentist recommended a new crown not only to that tooth, but also the one next to it. At our consultation with Dr. Lo he suggested a different approach. We decided to trust Dr. Lo and do the internal bleaching and then allowing him to cosmetically fix it rather than disrupting the existing front teeth and doing new crowns. It took a few trips (as bleaching is unpredictable) but Dr. Lo made sure we were a priority and always asked to squeeze us in. I've included before and after pics. Chris can't stop smiling!!!! Watch out for them. When I called them, they clearly stated they accept my Cigna insurance. It turned out they are out of network therefore I am now forced to pay over $200 for simple cleaning. My cleaning is suppose to be 100% covered if they were in network. My mistake for asking them if they accept my Cigna. You are suppose to ask if they are in network!! On top of all, my hygienist was so bad, I got wet all over the shirt from water spreading everywhere. Do not use them. read more

Dr. Lo is a good dentist, but there are too many other good dentists to put up with a front desk staff so rude and unaccomodating. Both my husband and I are established patients over 2 years. We have done cleanings as well as had appliances made. I responded to 4 texts in the week prior to my routine cleaning appointment, confirming it. When I walked in, I was informed I would have to pay out of pocket because my insurance info would not go through. I told them I had my info on me and they said they would not take it day-of; they had called "repeatedly" and I did not respond. I had a single missed call a week prior which I admittedly missed, but the message was garbled and I had confirmed the appointment over text twice at that point. I was in no way warned that I'd have to pay out of pocket if my insurance was not confirmed by a certain date. Both my husband and I have already booked at another dentist for next week. read more

The office is nice and the hygienist that cleaned my teeth was pleasant and did a good job. The doctor I saw was good as well. I'm giving a two star review based off of the billing and front office. I'm not sure if they don't process billing regularly or process it incorrectly, but over the year plus that I've been going to this office. They have created two billing errors. I tried reaching out to them about the first error and was basically told I had to deal with it. When the issue was started from their inability to file a claim or research the issue properly. It turns out I kept getting a 200 dollar bill because they didn't take my insurance info correct when they had the card in their office. I have recently received another bill for 300 dollars for who knows what. I'm still waiting to see what this bill is for. read more

I was referred to Dr. Lo when I was having a hard time finding an orthodontist that I liked. Dr. Lo went above and beyond any of my expectations! Him and his team have squeezed me in to get me taken care of quickly along with showing me options for my treatment plan. He addressed my biggest concern which was the shifting of my front teeth and replacement of my caps. Dr. Lo made this his priority along with accommodating me for a special event I have in 2 months. Visited Texas Dental today and couldn't be happier! This has been my 3rd visit to this clinic. I've done everything from cleanings to having my wisdom tooth pulled. I've been wanting to write a review on this place for awhile now. I have a general anxiety about going to the dentist, but this is the WORST dentist I've ever been to! The rooms they bring you to are very dirty and run down. While some of the staff is very nice others seem like that have no idea what they're doing there or what's going on. Last time I went in, between the 4 conformation text and 2-3 phone calls they forgot to tell me your procedure is going to take 3-4 hours, and I had already been in the chair for an hour before any dentist or dental assistant started any work. Not having enough time blocked off in my day for this I had to break my appointment up. Then I call in to reschedule my appointment because I was sick and they are going to charge me the cancellation fee. Spend your well earned time and money some where much better. I can't wait to finish my dental work so I never have to return! read more

Texas Dental has been incredibly convenient for me as I work odd hours 5-6 days a week. All of the staff I have interacted with is friendly and polite. The receptionists are helpful in finding me new appointments or adjusting to my schedule. I went in for a filling at 12:15 on a Sunday and was out by 1:15 thanks to Dr. Zimmerer and her assistant. Texas Dental provided me with a Roku remote and noise cancelling headphones so I could take my pick of Netflix and Hulu offerings on the TV mounted on the ceiling. I am terrified of needles and was nervous about my appointment, but Dr. Zimmerer calmly guided me through the process, distracting me and reassuring me every step of the way. read more

WORKING INTERVIEW I did not have a good experience with Texas dental when I went in for a working interview the other day. The working interview was for a certain position that they never gave me a chance to even show me anything regarding that position or aspects of the actual position that I came to the working interview for. Instead, they decided to give me six hours worth of backed up scanning that had not been done for different patients. I did mention upon leaving that I wish I would've at least got the chance to do a working interview on the job that I actually came into interview for. The comment I got was that they were really busy that day, which remember this was a scheduled working interview so someone should've been available to at least set aside the time that they asked me to be there. Just makes me wonder how well the employees are treated. Hopefully better than I was. read more

Yup, completely unimpressed with their billing/office staff. Just received a bill from them today for almost $400. This is on top of the over $300 I paid them the day the work was done and the over $300 my insurance gave them for this dental work (several basic fillings). They've worked with this insurance company before and know the percentage they reimburse; I don't mind paying up front, and I don't mind paying slightly more to use better filling material, but their miscalculation being off by this much is atrocious. It's cheaper for me to fly to Los Angeles to see my old dentist, where I get better care, than it is to come here. I won't be back. read more

I booked my routine dental cleaning appointment here based on the reviews. I thought I was going to see Dr. Lo, but that didn't happen. The hygienist was really pleasant and did a great job cleaning my teeth. I don't remember her name. The reclining chairs with TV's on the ceiling are fantastic. I thought I'd finally found 'my dentist' in TX. When Dr. Yasamin Yazhari came in, it just went downhill fast. She seemed so annoyed and irritated. I have no idea why, she was only in there about 5 minutes with us. She recommended a procedure that would require drilling into my jaw bone. That's quite invasive. So, why she seemed even more irritated when I asked a couple of questions, I'll never understand. Five minutes of interaction with her sealed the deal. I won't come back here and certainly don't recommend this office to anyone. Not sure if she treats all her patients this poorly, or if she singled me out for some unknown reason. Very disappointing, very unprofessional. My search continues for a quality dental practice. read more

Until my husband found Texas Dental and we started coming here, I had no idea what it meant to go to a truly awesome dental practice. Dr. Yazhari and her team are a such pleasure to visit! They're caring, compassionate, and gentle, and I love it that I feel like I'm visiting a friend when I go to the dentist. They really go above and beyond in getting to know you - they remember what you talked about last time you visited and they aren't just "making conversation." They actually care about developing relationships with their patients. The facility is beautiful, bright, and clean, and I love that they have TVs rigged on the ceiling and big cushy headphones so you can zone out during your treatment. Except for the fact that I got hooked on Gossip Girl last time. That's a problem. ;) More importantly than anything, I feel confident in this team and I trust that they are making honest and professional recommendations. They show me photos of any concerns they have, and they do a great job of identifying issues that need to be addressed immediately versus items they can monitor over time. When I asked about Invisalign, the team was positive about it and encouraged me to consider it, but without any sort of heavy pressure or sales tactics. It's comforting knowing that your dentist isn't trying to up-sell you! I would highly recommend Texas Dental to my friends and family, particularly Dr. Yazhari. read more

I thought the service was good but I was extremely disappointed because I provided my insurance information ahead of time and based upon what they said confirmed my insurance would cover the cleaning, x-rays, etc. Based on that I scheduled and had a minor procedure. Months later I received a large bill in the mail just to find out my insurance doesn't work with their facility. Lesson learned because I should've confirmed with my insurance but based upon my past experience with services throughout my life, with providing insurance ahead of time so the facility could confirm it was accepted, I didn't think twice. Michelle did an excellent job as my hygienist, she is very friendly AND more importantly gentle, and she also gave me helpful advice for keeping a healthy smile. Dr Ricci is very personable, honest and professional, he took his time going over my teeth, while in my experience other Dentists rush a little. This is THE best dentist practice in Dallas (possibly in all of Texas). Friendly front desk staff, clean facility, sterile equipment that you see them take out of new sterile bags, and TV's with Roku above you so while you recline you can watch your favorite TV show, movie or documentary. I have always been extremely anxious when visiting dentist as I don't particularly enjoy people sticking things in/down my mouth/throat. Previously I had very bad experiences before (pain due to not numbing properly, improper root canal that caused infection and near chocking) when I used a different nearby practice that was a "cheaper" option. Come to find out that it was not so much a cheaper option when they didn't complete the job correctly and it costs you even more money! SOOO lesson learned...I called TX Dental and booked Dr Wilson Lo who is extremely comforting, professional and friendly. He explains each procedure, checks for pain before operating and does not pressure you to do more than you absolutely need to do. I did not have health or dental at the time so his front desk finance team set me up on an interest free payment plan through CITI health. I've completed several procedures there along with my teeth cleanings all with me leaving in a positive, satisfied state-of-mind. If you are anxious about dental work, go here. The nurses, staff, doctors AND dental hygienist are all on the same mindset of being friendly, comforting and professional. I've been a patient of Dr. Lo for over 6 years and I can't say enough great things about him and his staff. I first started coming here when a previous dentist said that I had to get my wisdom tooth removed ASAP. I found Dr. Lo after this and he explained that my wisdom tooth was coming out fine and if not obtrusive, there's no need to get it removed. He is always pleasant and patient even with my parents who love to ask question after question. The staff is also great and always friendly! Now I don't want to share this with the world because I don't want her schedule to get booked up when I try to make a dental cleaning appointment but Amanda, my dental hygienist is freaking Awesome! I live out of state but always come back to Dallas for my cleanings because I haven't had anyone else give me a pleasant cleaning experience. Just the thought of going to a dentist used to freak me out nonetheless the screeching sound of getting your teeth scraped. Other places give me a mouth full of blood before my teeth are cleaned. Amanda however, has the most gental touch and still manages to give my teeth a pristine clean, all the while I get to enjoy a Netflix show. Today, I had my first appointment for a teeth cleaning. Really friendly staff and very clean office. Dental Hygienist, Anne Maria did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was very professional and skilled throughout the whole process. Dr. Cornell was really thorough in explaining where I'm at with my teeth and gums. The Doctor was also very professional, personable, and kind when speaking with me. Overall experience for a first time visit was just about perfect! I've always had a great experience with Dr. Ricci, and highly recommend him. He's the only dentist I'll use when visiting Dallas. The only negative thing is their business hours and billing department. It took me 3 days to finally get a hold of someone since I called just after 4PM, and they close at 4PM or 2PM, depending on the day. When I finally got a hold of someone they told me they'd take my number and have someone call me back about the bill. I received an email instead, with the amount. I replied with payment questions, and was told I needed to call to make the payment. It really shouldn't be this hard to make a payment. This is the kind of stuff that people forget about, the company submits to collections a bill, and it dings their credit. Definitely need to make it easier for people to submit payments. read more
