Anyway, the person who really stood out was my dental hygienist Holly. She spent 15 minutes hand scaling my teeth with the dry metal pick thing. And on top of that, she did a thorough job with the water spraying pick thing, flossing, and polishing. Holly's super friendly, funny, and she's by far the most thorough hygienist I've had. I feel like my teeth are now unstoppable.

I let it go, but then she started cleaning my teeth and OMG she was soooo rough. Again, I was like okay I can get through this but then it got worse. I told her it hurt and she just said it was almost done. I wanted to cry it hurt so bad and when I checked out I told the front ladies about what happened. They just laughed it off and said she was a temp. I'm sorry what?? I said why did I have a temp when my normal hygienist was there and I booked 6 months ago? They said I didn't have anything on my file requesting to "not have a temp". Well, I didn't know that was a thing! So, just make sure you request not to have a temp because they are not there everyday and I was humiliated by the one that helped me.

(I don't have any insurance so this is important to me before ANY work is done) they showed me where my issues were, what I needed to get done, and him gave me a slightly less expensive temporary alternative until I could go in again and get the complete job done. Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. Like I said, I've never felt more excited about flossing and brushing. I took advantage of a new patient promotion for the office and am so glad that I did. The staff are welcoming and take the time to answer questions. I was not upsold on any service. From what I could tell, this dental office is more interested in giving patients what they actually need and does not try to sell products or procedures that are not necessary. It sounds like they offer a membership for self-pay patients as well that would offest the cost for those who are underinsured as well. Happy with the discovery of this dentist.
