DO NOT recommend receiving orthodontic services here. The orthodontist is amazing, however the office administration is unprofessional, does not return calls and balance bills patients. This goes against contract for in-network providers. I am owed approximately $900 and have yet to receive my refund. The last day appointment, I was told my daughter could not have her braces removed because I had a balance due. I had to remind them once again, I'm the one that is owed money. My appointments have been mishandled, double booked or somehow disappear when we arrive to an appointment I clearly set up. The dental office is not helpful since they are not affiliated with the orthodontist team. All they tell me is that they are not able to help me. I am on my own and will be contracting MetLife dental to inform them that they have not provided me a refund and are in violation of their in network provider contract. Who knows how many patients they have committed fraud against and were unaware. read more

Listen. I have hated the dentist and everything about going. I have fought a battle with my teeth due to illness and it always feels like I'm going to be under attack, in pain, or ridiculed. It happens almost every time. I just had a great experience with a clean and professional wait room, caring people like Kiki who really listened and made me feel heard, and a front desk staff that wanted to work with me to figure out payment for work that really needed to be done. Half my face is numb, sure. Dr. Lim was fast, effective, and understanding. He did a great job and I am grateful to have found all of them. They are so u organized. When I went to get a scan they didn't do the correct tooth. Had to do it 4 times that day. Then get called weeks later that they need me to come back because it still wasn't correct. Summary: Great place, amazing staff, will return! My experience here was fantastic! I hate going to the dentist but this place is unlike any dentistry I've been to. Every individual I was in contact with (reception, hygienist, dentist, staff) were so nice. Each person asked me if I had questions and was willing to answer. My wife and I chose this place because they have saturday availability which was difficult to find at other dentistries. Since I was new, they started with x rays which was fast. The lobby had a tv to watch and each "room" also had tv. The staff then looks for cavities. The dentist was kind and personable. Yes, she was young but she also has a lot of knowledge and explains everything very well. They did talk up Invisalign but didn't push it on me. The hygienist was very delicate with my teeth. This is usually the part I hate the worst because of the scraper, but it honestly wasn't terrible. The cleaning was quick and easy. read more

There are no words to describe how amazing everyone is at Ideal Dental. The staff is super friendly, professional, and helpful. I called to make an appointment and they were beyond patient working with my busy schedule and finding me a date and time that worked best for me. They even called me the day before to remind me about my appointment. The office is beautiful and clean. The patient rooms each have a TV so you can watch while the dentist works on you, magazines, and even a little blanket in case you get cold. Speaking of the dentist, Dr. Erika Alvarez takes the award for best dentist ever. She is professional, patient, and gentle. She explained what she would be doing and why. I didn't feel like I was being sold on random procedures like I have felt at other dentists I have been to. She answered all my questions and helped me understand exactly why I needed the work that I needed. She also walked me through every step of the procedure as she was working, so if a little discomfort was coming, I knew about it and wasn't taken by surprise. She was very aware of me the whole time. Most dentists carry a whole conversation with their assistants and just forget the patient is even in between them. Dr. Alvarez was aware of me the entire time and kept ensuring I was feeling okay. Also, I am beyond satisfied with the work I got done. The staff also helped me understand the costs and what my insurance was covering. The whole process was incredibly simple and easy. I will never go to another dentist office. I am beyond impressed that a dental office could even be this amazing. They definitely raise the bar. The final straw for me is that they cancelled some appointments that I had made without tellIng me first because they said I didn't confirm the appointment in time. I received a text from Yainette in this Dental Office. I called to ask her how many times do I have to tell them not to call or text me about their office appointments. I explained they have continuously billed me over 10 times for a service that was paid by me Dental plan already for service that was never good dealing with the girls in the office because they do not know what they are doing. I prefer accuracy over politeness; my credit does not get fixed with politeness it gets fixed with accurate work efficiency (accurate billing) and as always she was VERY rude over the phone. I wanted to update my review: I went to another dentist and the dentist informed me that I didnot need a crown nor did I need a root canal. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone! Excrutiatingly painful toothache and swollen jaw. Emailed Ideal Dental in the middle of the night for appointment, got a call first thing in the morning and an appointment later that morning. I saw Dr Lim who was very thorough and considerate. After reviewing the xrays and examining me, he discussed all my options and his professional recommendation and we finally settled on me seeing a specialist. Dr Lim called and consulted with the endodontist and I was seen by her that day too. I recommend Ideal Dental and Dr Lim. read more

Horrible!! Schedule an appointment on 8/22 for 9/10. They gave away my appointment!!! I'm not sure but I felt like race had to do with it. No email and vague text messages. Didn't need to confirm appointment on my first visit- so why would I have the impression that my appointment would be cancelled on my 2nd. They didnt take responsibility for making me miss work. Didn't answer my insurance question. Made me sign a paper stating if I missed an appointment I would be charged $50 but don't offer anything when they give your appointment away that you had for 3 weeks. read more

To start out, this office has a nice atmosphere, good chairside manner, and friendly front office staff. TVs are in every nook and they give you shades so you're not blinded during treatment. Their hours are also flexible with my schedule which was a big driving factor for us trying them out when we moved here. But that's about all the nice things I have to say. The rest deals with cost, and questionable treatments. I went for a general cleaning with my husband a few months ago. Turns out we both needed deep cleanings. Fine, it's been about 2 years since We've had a cleaning so I know we were both in need. Then it turns out my husband has a root canal and I need a crown. I had zero pain beforehand, so I was a little shocked. But who knows, maybe they were catching it early. My husband had been complaining of tooth pain so root canal was definitely true. They made sure we were comfy for the procedure but my insurance did not cover deep cleaning and only 40% of crown and root canal procedure. which left me with a bill in the thousands. But the staff made sure we could open a new credit line *eyeroll* to pay for this expensive procedure... Honestly, I should have left right then and there. My gut was telling me to get a second opinion but getting my husband to the dental office period is nothing short of a miracle so here we are. Anyway, so we go through with it and turns out they can only do half of the mouth at a time for a deep cleaning. Never heard of that before and I've gone to had a deep cleaning before on my entire mouth no problem. So that's another $400-500 each. GREAT. I go through all this because I know I want to just get back to regular cleanings when I'm finally done. I should also mention that after getting a crown I had HUGE sensitivity to cold and air on that tooth. Dentist thinks i "might" need a root canal myself but is "willing to wait" to see what happens. Great. Buddy, it's not your mouth anyway. I'm told that my next appointment will be a regular cleaning. And that is what brings me to such a poor review today. Because I get my "regular" cleaning and fluoride treatment on top of that to help return my gums to their pink state and get to check out and told I now owe $60. For what you might ask? A "maintenance" cleaning. Which from what I can understand is only different from a regular cleaning because my gums bled "a little" and this cleaning follows a deep cleaning. I couldn't believe the blatant attempt to upcharge me. I would have been fine paying the $20 something charge for a fluoride treatment because I know that's not typical in a regular cleaning. But there is no way I'm paying for a regular cleaning when I very well my insurance covers that cost. I don't know any person who can go to a cleaning and doesn't have even a little bleeding. the rationale here is just ridiculous. I can see now why deca dental, ideal dental's parent company, pours so much money into advertising. No sane person would stick with a dental office that does everything in its power to upcharge you and your insurance. I and my family won't be back. In short, I feel up-charged, left holding a bill in the thousands for treatment that might not have been necessary, and frankly deceived with the language used at my previous appointment to justify yet ANOTHER bill. This whole experience has made me miss my more homely dental office and I think in our new location, that's what I'll be searching for. read more

Beware of this place! They're sketchy & emphasize going over "costs" and make it seem like insurance will cover most costs and they purposely quote the wrong procedure codes to give you the incorrect "cheaper" procedure cost. However on the day of your procedure they let you know what the true costs are with the CORRECT procedure codes and they are expensive! They don't return your phone calls and you have to stay on top of things. Ask lots of questions, know your benefits and take charge. The doctor is super young and inexperienced. You're better off finding another dentist, please. read more

From the front to the back, it was overall an amazing experience. They were able to get me in the same day and do all the treatment I needed. As soon as I walked in, Christa and Gabby greeted me with big smiles! The assistants Ily and Adeisa were friendly and made me feel really comfortable. What a great place. I had lost my PPO insurance and had to find a good HMO. I found one in Ideal Dental of Willowbend! Two other HMO approved locations I had gone to were telling me I had cavities or that I needed a deep cleaning. I had left my PPO provider in 2016 cavity free, and had great hygiene. So to find out that I had cavities a few months later seemed dubious. This location took care of me, did not try to upsell me and gave me a thorough exam. I've been a patient here for about 9 months. My teeth are crowded, which causes buildup a lot quicker than most. These guys placed me on a 3 month cleaning schedule, that has made a huge difference with, not only, how my teeth looks but how healthy my gums are. First let me start by saying other than my last experience there every other experience has been OK. I've visited Ideal Dental back in October 2019 and at that time I was given a treatment plan. Now mind you I have two dentist that I use. When I advise them that it would cost less at my other dentist to have my crown put on they decided to give me a discount so therefore they can have my business. So I came back for my crown in December it paid every dollar that was owed at that time. There were no other funds that were mentioned at that time to be paid. All of a sudden on today when I go in for my cleaning I am told that I now owe an additional almost $300 which is ludicrous! I could've gone to my other dentist and paid less than what I paid here! And to top it off the little round lady at the front desk had the nerve to try and be a smart ass rather than rendering assistance to get the problem corrected. This is truly disappointing for the mere fact that they are convenient for me to visit on days where my time is limited. I will no longer frequent this establishment based on the horrible customer service and condescending attitude received on today! read more
