Update: I just called hired Blue Star Plumbing for a second time and they were outstanding again!…read more They called me within 2 hours of submitting my request through my home warranty company. They were very accommodating to my schedule and we picked a good time. The technician arrived within the scheduled window and called 25 minutes ahead to let me know he's coming. The technician was very polite and courteous. I was extremely impressed with how quickly he completed the work. It took 15 minutes from the time he arrived to the time he left. He diagnosed the issue, turned off the water to the house, drained the lines, replaced an old worn out shut off valve behind the toilet, replaced a leaky fill valve inside the toilet, turned all the water back on, and checked everything. I was very amazing how he did all of this in just 15 minutes. He obviously knew what he was doing. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my both my calls to Blue Star Plumbing. I would highly recommend them!

I can't speak exactly to the scheduling and pricing side of things because I worked with Randy…read moreStagg as more of a consult (another plumber brought him on on a complex issue he had not been able to figure out) than by hiring him directly. However, he was clearly extremely thoughtful in his troubleshooting approach and knowledgeable about not only plumbing but overall house construction. It's a powerful combination to have because he knows the end-to-end and understands how it all fits together, so he can advise even on things like how to lay a foundation optimally. He also walked around with me a little bit and commented on some other improvements that he would do if it were his house. These were things that he did not stand to make any money off of recommending to me but was simply advising as best practices, including some that would keep my kids safer, prevent water heater leaks, and give me a creative workaround to an issue I'm having with my shut off valve. So that guy is great and, since it's his company, I assume a solid reflection of the type of knowledge and experience he expects of and instills in the people he hires. I also see there are some reviews on here where people had issues with scheduling or other things, which obviously are important. But at the end of the day, I would rather have some scheduling issues but get a great person out than have somebody with less experience who is easier to schedule with. That's not to say that I think they have a habitual problem with this, just that I think it's important to prioritize what really counts. I think there are few people who are more knowledgeable than Stagg and would definitely recommend them, especially if you have something that's tougher to figure out.

We used this company several months ago and one guy came, fixed our problem and it was a great…read moreexperience. On December 6, 2024, I called them out for a blocked toilet in one of our suites. They billed us for 3 people and the main person said the problem was fixed and they left. As soon as the toilet was used again, it backed up and they were immediately contacted. We were billed for three more people for the same amount (within a few cents). I asked why the double invoice when the first group no sooner left and the problem recurred. Her emailed response: I understand this can be frustrating. Since stoppages are not warranted, and our first plumber tested and did all procedures properly, we will be charging for both invoices. We can offer a 10% discount on both for the inconvenience. Please see revised invoices... A couple days later, the problem recurred and we contacted a different company who sent one plumber and actually fixed the problem: there was a pen caught in the pipe that was catching the toilet paper. We paid this company, with the 10% discount, $617. So six people and two trips and never found the problem. I know blockages can be problematic, but to tell me that they aren't warranted within 30 minutes of the plumber leaving the premises (and sending three people each time, all of whom they billed for--apparently 2 apprentices who are learning?) is just wrong. To me, it was extreme over-billing.

I strongly recommend avoiding Team Enoch for HVAC work…read more They attract customers with lower installation pricing and a parts-and-labor warranty that requires you to continue using them and complete two AC tune-ups per year through their company. On paper, that sounds like a great deal. In reality, the service after the installation has been extremely disappointing. My experience has been that they seem far better equipped to sell and install HVAC systems than they are to support customers afterward. Trying to get someone on the phone is incredibly frustrating. I am routinely sent to an answering service, and getting a callback is inconsistent at best. Even the required tune-ups have been a problem. Appointments have been scheduled, canceled, changed, and rescheduled repeatedly. That is especially unacceptable when those tune-ups are tied to maintaining the warranty they use as a selling point. The biggest issue is that once the installation is complete, the level of customer service drops dramatically. Communication is poor, scheduling is unreliable, and the overall support has been far below what I would expect from a company that wants to maintain a long-term relationship with its customers. A low installation price is not a good value if you have to fight just to get basic service afterward. If I had to make the decision again, I would absolutely pay more upfront to a different HVAC company with a stronger service department and better customer support. Saving money on the installation was not worth the frustration that followed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Team Enoch.

Non-code work and hidden costs caught up to us 5 years later…read more Five years ago, we hired Team Enoch for an HVAC installation, and we are now paying a massive financial price for their horrible workmanship. The issues started right at installation when they left gaping holes in our drywall. They refused to fix them, claiming drywall repair wasn't included in the installation price--something they conveniently failed to mention upfront. We were forced to patch and fix the damage ourselves. Now, five years later, the real damage has surfaced. We just had to completely overhaul our home's ductwork because Team Enoch installed it entirely out of code. Because the ductwork was choked and improperly sized, our AC compressor was severely overworked for years and has now completely burned out. What seemed like a shortcut back then was actually a ticking financial time bomb. If you use this company, hire a third-party inspector to check their work immediately, or prepare to pay thousands to fix their mistakes down the road. Extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism, transparency, and code adherence.
