He replaced it and got the system working; however he replaced the capacitor without giving me an estimate first, then charged me $379. $79 for the visit and 300 for the capacitor, which turns out to be a $20 part and it takes 10 minutes to replace. including diagnostic time, I believe he was at my house 30 minutes. This is very excessive and deceiving to install the part then give me the bill. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price but this is too much. Update: I called and voiced my concern. Bo, the tech who did the work, said that they use quality parts not parts made in China and which are better quality and more expensive. However, I noticed that the new part he installed was in fact made in China and is actually cheaper that $20. Again, very deceitful. I was willing to pay a reasonable price but Bo wasn't having it and came back out and took his part off refunded me the $300 for the less than $20 part and went home, which was fine. I ordered an original part from amazon for $17 which will arrive same day. it takes 5 minutes to Install.
