Over 8 years ago my grandson started taking karate at Action Karate Chalfont. He loved it. Soon after, my son-in-law resumed his study of karate which he enjoyed as a child. Later, my granddaughter started training at Action Karate. Finally, my daughter joined the family and started at Action Karate. All my family members are black belts of varying degrees. Over two years ago, I thought that I would check it out since it was a big part of my family's life. I remember when I enrolled, Miss Danielle told me that I would be able to test for my yellow belt at the next testing cycle. I told her "Oh, I'm not here for the belts, I just want to work out a little". Well, here I am, excited to be getting ready and hopefully qualifying to test for my black belt. I am a 67 year old grandmother who has never worked out so much in my life. I love coming to karate every week and I love everything I am learning. Not only do they teach self-defenses and strength training, they teach important life lessons like the importance of confidence, respect, and motivation. Attached is a picture of me getting my white belt. I can't wait to post a picture of me with my black belt.

I trained consistently until I earned my Junior Black Belt, but I had to stop when my family moved away.

But the younger Master Cha have been teaching there for the past 20+ years. My 3 sons have been going to Cha's academy for 10+ years since they were 5-6 years old. all the way to their high school years. The best place to have your children learn a beautiful art and getting trained to be discipline at the same time. Kudos to Master Cha.

Having now visited several other martial arts schools, I can assure you that Cha's is an excellent place for you and your kids to learn a martial art. Here are just a few of the reasons: * Quality - Cha's provides great quality instruction. I have visited some schools where a 3rd or 4th Dan (degree) black belt would not have the skills of most 1st Dan black belts from Cha's. * Schedule - while many schools only offer classes 2 or 3 times a week, Cha's offers classes 6 days a week, and on many of those days it is possible to choose from 2 different class times (or attend both). This gives you flexibility for scheduling conflicts, and allows students interested in advancing quickly an opportunity to take many classes each week. Also, unlike many schools, Cha's offers Family classes where parents and kids can take classes together - which is a great bonding experience and it makes scheduling easier if everyone can go together. * International Recognition - Cha's teaches in accordance with the World TaeKwonDo Federation (WTF), and Cha's black belts come with a certificate from the World TaeKwonDo headquarters from Seoul, Korea. This means your blackbelt is officially recognized by other schools around the globe. As we found out, this is a real value if you need to relocate. Not only were schools that followed WTF willing to recognize our black belts, but even schools that followed different systems of TaeKwonDo were willing to honor our black belts upon seeing our official certificates. * Friendly, Family Oriented Atmosphere -- One of the great things about Cha's TKD is all of the really nice people there. The Chas have established a great school where everyone helps and encourages others. As I mentioned, the Family classes are really great ways to spend time with your kids and also meet other nice families. Also, the Chas do a great job of making learning fun for kids. I could go on. If you are looking for a great martial arts school near the Doylestown area, you should definitely visit Cha's TKD -- you will be glad that you did!

They worked with my son to stand up for himself if anyone tries to overpower him with not so friendly intentions. I have seen Sensei Justin kneel down to talk to younger kids and make them comfortable. If any kid is not in mood to go inside for the class they usually come out, talk to the kid, make them comfortable to step in and give importance to that kid to make them feel included. We are excited to be in Youth program. My son was nervous and almost did not want to transition to the Youth classes and in his first class there were no known faces but without even informing the sensei and their helper kids made it very smooth for these younger ninja's to enjoy the experience. This place is the best for karate as well as for birthday party fun !

What makes Maximum Impact special, and a Best of Bucks winner time and time again, are the Instructors (Kyoshi & Sempas). Patient, supportive, nurturing and caring, the Instructors are always patient with the students and provide on-going support from the start. As a parent, I've seen my child truly excel under the leadership of Kyoshi Tim Rosenelli. He's now an honor student with a beautiful outlook on life and has earn the respect of his elders.
