Our lessons are clearly applicable to real-life situations. Access to Gracie University online videos make it easy to go over the details in between classes. The women in this group range in age, size and experience, but everyone is supportive and encouraging - we have a lot of fun! I am grateful to share this experience with my teenage daughter - she enjoys it as much as I do and we both feel more capable of defending ourselves effectively should the need arise. Highly recommend!

It has been a positive experience for both and the homework for character stripe and leadership stars reinforces what is taught in class. For my now 9-year-old, the anti-bullying techniques are very helpful. Her pitching coach has even commented on how her focus has improved since last summer. I was so impressed that I also started classes and the adult team is just as welcoming as the kids' team. It had been a long time since I did any regular exercise, but they work with you at your level. Being on the mat with all skill levels really drives you to push yourself. My energy and cardio levels are really improved, I've lost weight and am eating better too. The instructors are awesome and truly encourage everyone to reach their full potential. I recommend this for both kids and adults.

Martial Arts Story of Giselle G…read more Giselle was born in 2013, the first child of Jessica G. Sadly, Jessica passed away shortly before Giselle's 3rd birthday. Giselle was adopted by her grandparents and is being raised by them. Unfortunately for Giselle, she has no siblings. Growing up with older parents, Giselle spent most of her out-of-school time with adults. About 3 years ago, Giselle joined Action Karate-North Wales. We hoped she would get to meet some kids in her age group and get some physical activity. Unexpectedly, we found that Giselle loves her time at karate. She is physically challenged to try new activities, interacts with new kids and learns life lessons that will help her be a focused, purpose-driven adult. Giselle is currently in the last phase of becoming a black belt. Although the requirements to do so are significant, she has risen to the challenge. Giselle has been focused on practice and has her eye on obtaining a black belt. As parents, Giselle's mother and I are very pleased with what she has learned and how she manages her time and the related responsibilities of becoming a black belt. Much of that success is the result of the guidance provided at every session by her instructors about karate and related life issues. We wish Giselle continued happiness with karate and best of luck in her goal to be a black belt.

So I started my free 6 weeks at Karate, over the time I started to return and like it even more. Once I finish up my free six weeks, I was asked if I wanted to continue and I said yes lets do it. Over the last 8 years its been a long and rough ride, with dating someone and then having to let that person go because of my actions, and then growing to become taller than my instructor, I still get told I'm to tall to this day by that same instructor. I have been through the covid era which was rough in itself. Over the time I have worked on myself and now Im going for my first degree black belt. Time to finish everything and get my black belt.

My bonus son started coming here for about maybe 2months give or take and all four of us parents have notice such a AMAZING difference in him. His confidence level is at an all time high! He used be very sheltered and quiet and now he even raises his hand to show the rest of the class a combo or move and then they all practice for a bit after! He was just promoted to Yellow belt and he has been so ecstatic he is practicing his exercises every day and getting so much better! the place is decent size with parking. Clean and NEVER smells! very nice look forward to taking him every week I know he does too. Mr. Williams is extremely funny and relates to the kids. There are some black belts in that help the adult instructors with the class, which is great. Ms. Felicia who I think maybe the owner she is also great she seriously knows every child by name and always greats you with a smile!

No negativity in the dogo and respect is evident! IF you have doubts about starting Martial Arts as an adult, just do it. It is a nice community of people from the administrative to the instructors to the students! This is the third Martial Arts dogo that I tried. After one lesson, I knew that this was a fun, safe place to learn and practice!

We chose Action Karate for physical fitness as well keeping my boys focused and build confidence. Both of my boys started training when they were three years old. My husband, older son and myself are all currently advanced degrees. My older son is also a member of the senior demo team where he shows off his talent using his weapon of choice nunchucks. As it turns out, not only was I impressed, but it was the best child party I ever attended! The staff is amazing, they keep the children entertained and engaged. They also had a costumed shark character, their mascot, show up! So cute! The children were thrilled! The party was so well run and they played Star Wars music as that was my grandson's party theme.I would highly recommend Action Karate for any age child's party!
