I have been attending Professor McHugh's classes…read morefor 2 months now and am still incredibly impressed every time I walk in for a class and when I leave after the class is finished. I even took a buddy of mine to a class, who attends a different gym, to check out how amazing the environment and instruction is with this location. He couldn't stop talking about how technical the instruction was and how great the team members were. This school is part of a network with some of the best gyms in the State of New Jersey. Professor McHugh, Coach Tony, Coach Pete, and Coach John are all extremely well versed in BJJ and have a true gift for teaching the technical side of BJJ. Positions and submissions are broken down to the basic elements with steps to ensure understanding prior to moving on to more complex technique. This gym offers a beginner class with Fundamentals and then continues with intermediate and advanced Gi classes. No-gi is available as well, but Gi is the majority of instruction. It is a true honor and pleasure to be a part of such and amazing gym and learning environment. I have made some great friends here and look forward to continue that in the future. Tomorrow is my 2 month anniversary since joining Daddis, but first, let me take you back; my…read moreteenage years, i went away to summer camp every year. I remember doing rabbit hops at nighttime because we got caught whispering after hours, daily early morning sweats, blazing sun cardio drills. The sense of comraderie, team, unity, accomplishment: immeasurable. Even the food/mush tasted delicious, water was amazing, but even in those grueling moments when i hated to be there, i remember feeling this sense of 'this is a defining moment in my life.' Friendships felt truer, my muscles felt worked, my spirit felt good, i slept like a baby at night... Daddis gives me that same feeling; and at 35, that's not an easy feeling to recapture. It feels so good! The people here are great, not just coaches, but other gymgoers. No egos. Executives, moms, blue collar dads, we all share an urge to be fitter, stronger, empowered. I say these things, not to promote mmbrshp. In fact, I would prefer people not join. Smaller classes mean more focused, individual attention for me from elite athletes in their domain. I LOVE to get 1:1 or 1:2 coaching! Look, 2 yrs ago, i was 80lbs heavier than today. 2 yrs ago, I commited to healthier lifestyle and I lost 40lbs with diet and moderate exercize. But it wasn't until I ramped up my workouts that I got real (noticeable) results. I lost 50lbs in 6mos because I worked my butt off, sweated, and grinded it out. I feel good today. My entire life is richer. My quality time has a greater quality. Energy, mood, body, spirit. These are invaluable benefits. Yet, the other benefits are pretty great, too: empowerment, strength, fitness, stamina, agility, confidence... shall I continue? Be your best YOU! Sincerely, H-bomb (HF)

Laurel location does not have pickleball courts. Only a basketball court with lines everywhere and rolling nets. Luckily I was able to stop at the Princeton location after work, if not for that I probably would've cancelled right away. Why does this location not have real pickleball courts and hardly any open play times?? 2. The gym is mediocre at best. Half of the space is dedicated for their strength training classes, so at busy hours, good luck finding a rack, especially one with a mirror in front of it. 3. They also don't have a turf area, or any sort of soft surface. It is all hardwood. 4. Half of the machines are very old, especially the cable machines Also, their business tactics are shady in general. When going to sign up online, my only option for membership was "the signature" so I assumed that is all they had. Turns out after 5 months I realized they have a standard membership that is slightly cheaper, but is not marketed anyhwere because they want you to pay up for the signature. So I was paying around $414 a month for x2 people to get subpar basically everything.
