That doesn't mean it was absolutely horrendous, but it was underwhelming for the price. We did the Murder Mystery escape room, which, granted, was marked as a moderately hard room. However, there's a difference between difficult and impossible to figure out. This room was the latter. Part of the reason we kept struggling was because the room wasn't properly functioning. Two clues weren't in their proper place from the previous guests and the game masters had to come in and get them out of the locks with pliers. We weren't given much extra time after these mishaps, and the clues they kept giving us were things we had already figured out -- almost like they were AI generated or pre-loaded. The entire room was just... underwhelming. I don't necessarily regret doing this room, every Escape Room is a cool experience, this one was just not as cool, I guess.

There were some twists and a few oddball moments that threw us off, but that's part of what made it interesting. You get a full backstory and mission at the beginning, which really pulls you into the experience. It's very interactive and requires a lot of teamwork, communication, and coordination. You have an hour to escape and we made it out just in time, literally down to the last seconds. This is a great option for groups, birthdays, or even team building. It's high energy and perfect if you enjoy problem solving and a little challenge. Have I been to more advanced or smoother escape rooms? Yes. But this was still a good experience and definitely worth trying, especially if you're going with a fun group. I'd go back and try a different room.

When I attempted to mention the email confirmation (with terms and conditions) doesn't state the required early arrival time I was told by this staff member "do you want to keep arguing and lose more time on your room?". Please see the image of my email confirmation since no one cared to see what your customer sees in their email confirmation. I was there today at 4 pm so you may want to double check who is working. They obviously don't like people. And in no way did I expect extra time but I checked the available bookings and no one was using the room after us. There was zero reason to be so aggressively rude with myself, husband, 70 year old parents and 10 year old daughter. We were just trying to enjoy the afternoon.

We were amazed the moment we walked into United Escapes of America Mesa. This specific property is the largest escape room facility in the world! They have 16 different themed rooms within this 4 story mansion. We read a little bit about its history about how it was once a covenant, a school and even a zoo! Our cluemaster was Grace and she was incredibly hospitable, supportive and helpful! The escape room Candyland and all its clues/puzzles were extremely fun and entertaining. We were amazed with all the unique and whimsical props and technicalities that went into creating this escape room. We did escape with 9:21 to spare thanks to our clue-master Grace and her hints! 100/10, we can't wait to try out another one of their rooms! We had a set time in place and were required to sign waivers. We were immediately greeted by our game show host. We were split in to two teams. We came up with a team name and were given name badges. Our two host were entertaining and lead our hour game time. We were able to play a handful of games. All fun and some that I hadn't played before. It encouraged friendly competition between my coworkers and I. We all left raving how much fun we had. Highly recommend checking this place out with a group of friends. I believe they also rotate the games, so you're able to visit more than once without repetition
