I cannot begin to describe how disappointed I am after doing business with Digital Repair Surgeons…read more I have never had to try so hard to get straight answers out of a business. We had to get a screen replaced on my partner's laptop and for 3 MONTHS, this "business" told us *every week* that it would be done by week's end. They often would say they were "waiting on a part to be in", then say "the part is in and it will be done by the end of the week". Then, the next week another problem would appear "the mouse pad is malfunctioning" (not a problem that was present when we brought the computer in) and "the part was on the way" to fix it. Each time we had to call every week for 12 weeks because Jacob and Miranda never communicated to us first. We had finally had enough and said we were picking up the laptop done or not. Jacob said we would have to make an appointment to pick up the laptop- which costs 5 dollars for a 5 minute appointment to pick up the laptop I paid 325$ for them to replace the screen on that they kept for 3 months. When my partner arrives to pick it up- they said they just needed a "few minutes" to finish it up. The 5 minute pick up lasted 25 minutes as they were gluing the computer back together right in front of her. They then tell her not to open it because " the glue was drying". She inquired why they weren't checking it's functionality with her there like they had said we would at our initial drop off. They then assured her she could bring it back if something was wrong. She returned home and after giving the glue time to dry- they gave us- shit you not- the laptop without the charging port in the computer. For 3 months my partner was not able to use her computer for work, and we get... a laptop that you can't turn on. Sounds like something on the list of basics that a computer needs but maybe we should have waited another year for them to be finished? Who's to say? So, after calling to see if they *forgot* the charging port and receiving no response despite my partner and I calling 6 times on different days, I ended up fixing the computer myself. Luckily, this is a teachable moment and we can leave this review to warn others. Don't bother looking at the positive reviews. I thought I could trust them too but the likelihood of you having a positive experience is not worth the exhaustion of tracking these folks down to get your electronics back. Save yourself from the unprofessionalism of Jacob and Miranda and take your business to someone who cares enough to communicate with you. And gives you back all the pieces you gave them. I'm attaching two pictures so they can compare what's missing, like they do in Highlights magazine for kids.

Yes, one can buy from Amazon or Best Buy, but when something goes wrong, that's where you want someone who is knowledgeable, friendly and in person. Geek squad is just not going to cut it. I reached out to this shop because I was having issues with my MacBook. While they don't service Mac products anymore, they used to! They will support out of warranty Mac's but because mine is still under Apple care, they immediately referred me to an in state certified Apple repair shop. They thought of me first. And I appreciated that. My son is just entering the workforce in computer repair and IT and I hope he learns about customer service like this business. He owns a PC. We will definitely be bringing it here when we need a repair.
