Turns out they only handle new roof installations, not repair work, but instead of just saying so and hanging up, she offered to text me a list of trusted roofers who do repairs (which she did right away!) They shout to each other across the roof and in general, have no constraint at all. They leave their heavy equipment on the street and daisy chain extension cards to run cheap residential fans overnight. The quality of their work remains to be seen, but considering they don't seem to make enough to hire a professional crew or buy appropriate tools (like nail guns or industrial fans), I would say that they are not so popular. Pick these guys if you want a sloppy and noisy job site and the annoyed neighbor's that they bring to your block. I would have given them a -5 if the option were available.

He also answered all of my questions patiently which I appreciated. The house had a leak but it was hard to tell where the leak was coming from so I figure it's better to do a tile reset to resolve the current issue and to prevent any future issues from coming up (especially since the last time the roof was worked on was quite recent and it didn't seem like a good job was done). Got a quote in early August, thought it was reasonable but the job didn't start until 2nd week of September and wrapped up around the end of September. In terms of workmanship and cleanup, the crew did a great job. Applying for permits and inspections were handled nicely as well. Overall, a pretty good experience with this roofing company.

Quality. That is the best word to describe Saber Roofing. This review is long overdue as we had…read moreRyan and team replace our 29 yr old roof late last year (Nov/Dec 25'). But it's also a testament that after almost a year in, we've had no issues whatsoever. From the site survey to Final inspection by the City, Ryan and team was there every step of the way. I'm not going to attempt to repeat what's already been said in all the 5 star reviews (which are all correct, but also repetitive). I am offering an alternative view if skepticism remains. The ultimate reason why we chose Saber Roofing, over other quotes that were at or below his quote, was because of the negative reviews. Stay with me here. When you have a multi-decade longstanding business, it is statistically impossible to maintain 100% satisfaction. If you want to understand trustworthiness or how the inner workings of a company is run at a glance, one must look at how the unsatisfied customers were dealt and treated. In all recent cases, you will see each and every claim was handled with compassion and respect with an intent to understand the issue, correct and better themselves going forward. That, IMO, is the hallmark of a great business to deal with. After starting the job, they solidified that hypothesis as I observed the attitudes & dispositions of those working in the "trenches" (or roof in this case). Everyday that the team showed up, all carried great smiles with positive team banter and a general sense of happiness being on site. This only happens when employees are treated well and with respect. We have dealt with numerous home projects in the past and can tell you this is a rarity. Will Saber Roofing be the lowest bid in your search? Probably not. Will they provide you the best quality and service? You bet.

I contacted several roofing and gutter companies to get estimates for a few projects. I am very…read morehappy that I chose Saber Roofing for plenty of reasons. 1) The owner, Ryan, met with me to discuss the work and was very thorough and helpful in answering all my questions. 2) Important details were covered including adding a rain chain in a location where a downspout would have been unsightly (picture attached). Among the details, the rain chain is made of copper while the gutter is made of aluminum. Having these two metals come in contact could compromise the aluminum over time. So, Saber installed the copper rain chain with a protective barrier. 3) Their client service and sales director, Jake, was super helpful and extremely responsive to all my questions. 4) The crew was very efficient, provided high quality workmanship, and left the site spotless. 5) The gutter guards that were installed provide a really fine barrier to prevent even small debris from entering my gutters, but are easy to rinse so that fine particles can be washed through the gutters. 6) The two downspouts that were installed were matched to the color of our trim. Other companies offer limited colors or simply white downspouts, but Saber offers a wide variety. 7) Their pricing is very competitive. From end to end, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Saber Roofing.

Excellent job installing a new roof on my flat roof house in San Francisco using white TPO…read more Existing roof was removed and new roof was installed in one day with a 6 member crew. It took them two more days to periodically finish-up installing walking pads and flashings. Cost was competitive and reasonable. I monitored their work and they were very diligent with sealing and securing everything, as well as replacing wood rot. The foreman and crew were very helpful and approachable. A few years back they also did an excellent job replacing my downspout & drainage. During a few days of +85 degrees weather, the house is noticeably cooler with the TPO (by 10 to 15 degrees) versus the old tar & gravel roof which absorbed all the heat and then radiated it into the house throughout the evening.

He changed it to a better-performing vent without extra cost, and now, we can sleep without vent noise. They also thoroughly cleaned our house and yard after their work was complete. They were incredibly thorough. They ran multiple flood tests and found nothing wrong with the roof itself. Follow-up spray tests traced the leak to where the roof meets the siding. The siding had been replaced by a different contractor after the roof went in, and that connection wasn't done the way the roofers had recommended, yet they still ended up replacing almost the entire roof under warranty. I honestly can't think of many roofers who would do that. Most would have pointed to the siding and moved on. They worked closely with a siding contractor I brought in to fix it, and the two of them problem-solved together really well until the issue was fully resolved. These guys do great work, show up on time, and keep showing up until the job is done. I couldn't recommend them more, and I'll be using them for all future roofing work in the city.

When it came time to do a full roof replacement, they were the first place we called. And to be honest, they weren't the cheapest but we still went with them given our prior experience and the fact they would handle re-mounting our solar system directly. The roof came out better than expected, it looks so clean and makes the entire house look better. We were also impressed with their thorough cleanup of the site each day, the attention to detail (even caulking around the replaced joists for us), and going the extra mile to replace a ceiling panel that was damaged when the old roof was torn off. They do most things by phone and don't use any fancy appointment systems, but if you want a roof done the right way by the most experienced people, Cal-Pac is the one you want.
