Placed online order 11/28/20. I never received email confirmation or order update, their website offered nothing in the way of updates. Tried to contact via email on 12/2, no response. Called customer service line, spent 20 + minutes holding, left call back #, no call back. I finally got through to customer service on 12/3/20 after a 25 minute hold. Was told order shipped on 11/30. Asked for tracking # and was told it would be emailed, email was never received. I then checked website again, Mysteriously, shipping information is now available and surprise! order has not shipped as of 12/3, but a shipping label has been created. Why not communicate and be honest? Why act like you're being inconvenienced for inquiring due to lack of communication. First and last time. read more

When you call them good luck, I left call back number twice and no call back. I waiting on hold for over a half hour and still no answer. When you do get your order there is zero paperwork? Ordered a Milwaukee 18 volt radio battery charges combo form ACME because they advertised a "lowest price guarantee" whereby they would match competitors prices. After placing my order I was shopping Amazon for other items and fount the exact same charger that I bought from ACME for $10.00 less! I didn't think ACME would have a problem matching the price so I completed their customer inconvenience form online requesting a price match and waited the required 2 days for a response. ACME's response was, "We are very sorry but we would not be able to price match an item being sold by a third party on Amazon. However, we do price match with Amazon if the item is sold by Amazon directly. " (So they price match with only who they want to instead of any credible advertised price?) I immediately responded with a request to cancel the order. The Staff working here is very unknowledgeable about their products and it seems that no one is too eager to help. Ive Read that Stihl Dealers are highly trained and hands on to help you purchase their tools.....you would never know it at acme tools Duluth! If you are searching a product online to buy, like I was..then its a 50/50 shot as to whether its in stock and the website always says its in stock, but low and behold its not!! I purchase an expensive Sawstop Table Saw from ACME and they shipped it to me as a single pallet containing 4 boxes. But no where on the bill of lading did it say that there were supposed to be 4 boxes on the pallet. So when the truck delivered the pallet it stated 1 pallet and I signed for 1 pallet. It turns out that one box was missing and that box contained the 7 foot long fence rails. The saw is 100% NON-USABLE without these missing parts. When I called ACME they totally blew me off saying that I signed for the saw complete. So I spent $3400 for a saw that is totally unusable. And ACME is telling me to call the manufacturer. If they had just marked the BOL as 1 pallet with 4 boxes on it I would have signed the BOL short. But how was I supposed to know the pallet was short a box. And ACME has no interest at all in helping me sort it out even though chances are the missing box is in their warehouse. I wouldn't buy from them again. read more

Placed an order in March. Acme advertised available on March 27. 1st week of June has come and gone, still waiting. Customer service is ok, the supervisor I'm not so sure about. There is no active order status. They continue to advertise an item they can't deliver. I've requested an RMA for all the accessories they shipped that are useless without the item, I'm cancelling the undelivered item. My future business goes anywhere but ACME TOOLS. read more

My father and I purchased a Chicago pneumatic air compressor for around 13K. He was working with Bobby Pearson sales rep. He was told that the item had shipped but for some reason they didn't have a tracking number on a 13K item that they shipped. My father called the shipping department and spoke with Dan. Dan said that the tracking number was no problem. Dan was supposed to call my dad back with the details on the tracking order but Bobby Pearson called him back and told us that it would be delivered on 5-24...The item was ordered on 5-14... The money was taken out of our business account in full on 5-17. We were told that the compressor would be here today. So we stayed around the shop and worked and waited because it needs to be unloaded by our forklift. Bobby Pierson was contacted today and did not get back with us until approximately 3pm... to tell us that he guarantees it to be delivered by next Wednesday 5-29 and that he will be emailing a tracking number. This company has been giving us the running around and lying. I would bet money that they never even shipped it. I will never shop with acme tools again. It was my first order with Acme Tools and the tool was not what I expected it to be. When I asked to return it and they refused to cover the shipping fees. The shipping cost to return the tool was one third of the cost of the tool. It is not worth shopping with a company that doesn't provide good customer service, especially holiday time. I went to purchase a DeWalt DCC020IB inflator for $69.00. I placed the item in my cart and tried multiple times to complete the purchase, however their website had issues and I could not finalize my order. Twenty minutes later, I tried to complete the order again from another device but was shocked to see the price had increased to $99. Conveniently, this time their website cart checkout system was working. I immediately called their customer service number to see if they would honor the price that I was first offered. They informed me that a new shipment had just arrived, and the price was increased due to new tariffs that had just been placed. Interesting how the exact moment that I was trying to purchase the item, the price goes up by 33.33%. Shady business practices, and they would not honor the price 1st offered minutes ago. I ordered here and found that at the last minute they added sales tax for an out of state sale. They do not have a presence in Wisconsin but still stated that they needed to charge it anyway. I did not like their tactics and cancelled the order. They cancelled the order already, before it was packed or even in their sales system when i called but then proceeded to charge a service fee for cancelling the order. This company is not looking foa customer, they are looking for a fast buck. There is no way the i or my company will even deal with a company like this and their terrible customer service tactics. Customer Service at Acme Tools is nonexistent. I just received a new Milwaukee Brad Nailer ($350) and it jammed after every brad. I called up these fine fellows at Acme Tools and after being told three times that I had the wrong number or department, I found someone who told me to take the Nailer to a local Milwaukee Service Repair station. Terrible. I bought from ACME via their website because they had a saw that was 50 bucks cheaper than everywhere else. I place the order, and get an email saying the Billing Address I provided didn't match my card. I use this card every day. I emailed back, and they told me to call. I called. A guy answered, was extremely rude, unprofessional, insisted that my address was wrong. He tries to process again after I convince him to try, and he says it didn't work. So I ask if I can give him another card (yes, I ask - he made no suggestions and seemed to just want to go get a beer and have me hang up asap). So I provide him another credit card, and once again, he says this one doesn't match with the address provided. At this point, it's obvious it's on ACME's end. Two different cards, two different banks, I use both every day, and they're saying I'm providing the wrong billing address? After much frustration and being made to feel an inch tall and disrespected, I ask if I can cancel my order. He happily obliges. 30 seconds after I hang up, my original credit card sends me a notification saying a $500 purchase came through. Guess the address matched up after all. I call ACME back again, tell another guy that answers the whole story, and he responds "sorry I can't help you the order's been cancelled." I tell him the payment went through though and he just says "it'll probably come off in a few days". I hang up, contact my credit card company, they stop the transaction and I buy the item on Amazon for 50 bucks more. I'm not one to complain, and I had hopes that this company would be good to buy from as their prices are reasonable, but this was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Both reps I spoke with were annoyed at me immediately, had terrible tones, would not even attempt to solve my problem, and made me feel stupid for even calling, while also causing issues with my personal finances due to their ignorance. So no, I do not recommend ACME. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. read more
