This is the cutest little Acme! It looks like it should be a mom and pop owned grocery store but it's actually part of the national chain. I love the little half size carts. So convenient for me as sometimes I don't buy a lot of things. read more

Every time I am looking for a special ingredient or product, I discover that it is right here at the Narberth Acme. Very helpful.

If Dunder Mifflin ever came back as a supermarket it would be the Narberth Acme. It's actually more like a poorly stocked grocery store than a supermarket. At any given time there's no milk, the deli counter is closed, as is the seafood counter, and sales items are non existent on the shelves. They stock the shelves once a day - if you're not there by 10:00 am - Oh Well. The workers are generally nice, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. read more

This is the second time I've purchased something from this location and had it be off. This time it was tuna steaks--the time previously it was portobello mushrooms. They seriously want you to keep spoiled food in your home until you're able to get back to the store and prove it was bad for a refund. Ridiculous. read more

This isn't my top choice out of all my local supermarkets, but this ACME is a solid choice. This ACME has a great variety of items and it is organized so well. The frozen section has a large variety, they have great snacks, and the deli has great meats and is kosher. The staff is very polite and knows the store. For example, when asking for toothpicks, which an item another local store did not have the staff member helped me instantly. He was politely directed me to the aisle and right there was a large variety of toothpicks. The prices here are very affordable for some pretty fresh food. Veggies and meats that you can pretty much get at Whole Foods. However, here the food is much lower. Something I like about ACME over Whole Foods is that ACME also has some "junk food", which is something I Like! If you are in a rush this is a great place to go. They have a large parking lot with plenty of spots, carts that are positioned in a weather-proof area, but you can "grab-and-go" and they have self-checkout. Unlike other stores with self-checkout, the system they use here is very easy to understand and they have a staff member stationed in the area who knows what they are doing. read more

ACME Markets - a woman shopping in a store - Grocery Near Me - Narberth, Pennsylvania

Place is kind of a joke... one of the smallest I've ever been to. The aisles are like 6 inches wide, plus there was a variety of characters in there including crazy old people talking to themselves. Also there's 1 bathroom and that was out of service. read more

Grew up within walking distance to this Acme. It used to be great in the '70's. Not any more. The majority of the staff, excluding the deli ladies, are some of the most rude employees I've ever encountered in a retail establishment. The guy at the checkout stand and I stood there..... looking at each other, for over 30 seconds, no words being said. He was waiting for me to bag my own $180.00 worth of groceries! I laughed at him, and said... really???? He's done this on more than one occasion. Unfortunately when you have a store that's so slow, that it feels like it's going to be going out of business within 6 months, sometimes he's the only one there. Additionally on more than one occasion, goods have been long expired. Sad that the old school place that used to be friendly and great, now feels, empty, lacking, cold, and sterile. Lousy staff. Avoid. read more

I have never had anything but exceptional service at this Acme. It may not be the fanciest or biggest but every person has been helpful over the 20 years I have been shopping there. They go out of their way to assist. Maybe some of the critics should try being nice to them and see what happens. read more

As of 12/28/2017 Still the worst supermarket in existence. Quite possibly the worst supermarket in Montco. I will never forget walking in here one day and being assaulted by hundreds of fruit flies. Then on another visit being accused by an employee of stealing. This place is awful. Avoid. Drive to Giant or Whole Foods just a few minutes away. read more

Tiny Acme with limited selection, cramped isles, high prices and not so friendly employees. Even though it is within walking distance, we go to the big G grocery a few miles away unless it is a food emergency. The parking lot is a hot mess too. The best thing about this Acme is that it is close to a Giant food store. 7/14/18. So slow I wrote this just waiting to get a lottery ticket. No customers front of me. SMH. read more

Avoid this Acme at all costs. I've shopped here twice just because it was on my way home and BOTH times I got home and realized I bought expired items. I actually returned an item once and the woman at customer service said I should've checked the expiration date first..? It was packaged refrigerated mac & cheese where the expiration date was underneath the cardboard. This time I bought a lunchable and the use by date is a month and a half before I bought it. I've never checked every single item i've bought before from a grocery store, and I didn't think I had to until I shopped here. The layout of the store is also very odd. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Acme.... I was NOT pleased this week during the blizzard when I risked life and limb to brave the throng of crazed shoppers desperately trying to stock up on provisions.... when I made the SHOCKING DISCOVERY-- NO CAT CHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely, you must realize that Diva (my cat) will only eat Purina Cat Chow.... and will not be fooled by my attempt to slip her Friskies or Meow Mix. So..., after trying in vain to purchase those crunchy morsels my kitty so desperately craves, you left me no choice but to go to..... PATHMARK!!!!! A store I hate even more than YOURS!!!! LOL But, guess what? They had my Cat Chow!!! read more

Bummed that Acme closed in Gladwyne Thank goodness for Amazon We simply order everything we need on Amazon from Whole Foods free delivery, no driving in traffic ..awesome! read more

My local Acme, the prices are good and most of the produce is fresh. Check out can move slow at times but all in all, a solid store.

I usually go to the Acme in Gladwyne, but decided to come here since I was in the neighborhood. I was a bit disappointed, as I didn't think they had the same selection as the Gladwyne Acme. When I asked about this, they said that they didn't stock the place with all the fresh foods that they normally due because it was Saturday. I think I'll still with the Acme in Gladwyne from now on. Michael Bridy works there and my grandkids love him. read more

Bizarre staff and rude clientele. Awkward layout and not very clean. Prefer Giant. Close to my house, but make the drive to avoid this store. read more

They NEVER bag your groceries! The cashiers move like molasses and give scornful looks when you don't bag your own stuff or if you don't get all the heavy stuff out of the cart. Deli counter lazy and typically chatting with friends who have dropped in or employees from other depts. read more

It's OK - but always check the expiration dates. I have seen items that have either expired or at their expiration date still on the shelves. That's inexcusable. The freshest items are at the back of the shelf. read more

Recently moved to the main line. It's hard to find a good grocery store. This place is subpar. Some of the staff are rude and the store is poorly payed out and dated. I am ready to drive to havertown or king of Prussia for grocery shopping or maybe whole foods. read more

i dont normally shop here unless im already in the area and want to avoid the heavy traffic on city line avenue at MY acme. this location is rather small and has a strange layout as compared to the acme i frequent. the store doesnt have the selection of the other location BUT its always empty when i go so thats a huge plus. im definitely not a fan of their parking lot either. very strange layout there as well. i dont hate the store but i dont love it either. i wouldnt go out of my way to shop here. read more

Kosher department is best in Philadelphia region. Store service is excellent, but store is small and carries limited selection of certain items, e.g., paper plates. , . read more

This acme is walking distance to where I live, but I refuse to go here and would 100% rather drive to some place further. Its super small! Only 1 register open so the line is hours long. Gives me a dingy vibe. But my #1 reason for not shopping here is.. the staff are miserable and so rude. One lady in the seafood department made me leave in tears!!!! Worst place and people ever!!! read more

Awful store. Produce is generally not good, products such as milk, yogurt, or packaged chicken are at (or past) their expiration dates. I saw refrigerated (packaged) rolls split open on the shelves--and store workers right by the split packages. read more

Most of the staff is great - friendly and very helpful, and get to know you. I love that it is small and I can pick up what I need in a jiffy. Parking lot is great, self-checkout is great if you like that - staff member stays there to help. Way too much junk food for the way most people are eating these days. Way too little organics for that too. And some of the prices are too high. Many sections - cereal, milk, have enormous variety. (do we really need that many choices?? but maybe some people do). We'd rather see it increase the variety of organic products. And they should have more registers open. read more

I've been here a couple of times because the location is convenient, but I almost always regret it. The prices are unbelievably high. The staff is nice, great selection, and the setup is organized, but I can't believe they charge so much more than the supermarket five minutes away! I only go when I'm in a rush, passing by anyway, and need 1-2 things. read more

I bought some nectarines on two consecutive weekends and they looked perfect but were mush inside. Doesn't anyone at this store actually check that their fruit is edible!? read more

I shop here occasionally, mainly because of the store's convenient location. For a relatively small supermarket, it has a pretty good selection. However its prices are quite high and its check-out lines are generally long. It's not a bad store if you only need a few items and you use the self-checkout lane. read more

Really bad! The store is dirty and the staff are rude. Prices are high. Only go there when I need a couple things last minute.

A little on the expensive side, however, friendly service, fast self checkout... periodic good promos... def nice!

I NO longer shop at this location. Had two encounters that influenced my decision. 1. While checking out the cashier asked another employee ( a skinny brunette with a bad attitude) if she knew the code on some produce. She shrugged and walked away. The cashier (most likely a new employee) excused himself and went to find the price for himself. Terrible teamwork from the bad attitude brunette. 2. There is a mannish looking gray haired woman with glasses with the absolutely worst attitude I've ever seen in any grocery store. I think she is a manager. i have seen her berate and belittle the employees. A smoker, she lives on the outdoor bench. There is a Redbox in the vicinity and when my 10-year old daughter asked her something this woman mumbled something, turned away and ignored the question. Another time someone who had used the coinstar machine practically had the money thrown at them. The icing was though I heard her mumble a derogatory term towards someone of Middle Eastern descent. There is a Giant not too far away, there is another Acme in Bryn Mawr, There are Whole foods etc. that I use now. I will not have to put up with poisonous attitudes after a long day at work when all I want is some thing to buy for supper. read more
