Good afternoon, what a beautiful day it was today, and we spent the morning at one of our favorite food stores comparing prices, quality, and quantity. Some of the prices were higher than expected but the quality of the products are much better. Overall, they have improved significantly since we started using them. For instance, the dog food has increased in value over the past decade because of customer demand for natural ingredients and higher quality of products. Giant has a decent selection of organic dog foods that are comparative with other stores in the area. In addition, we found a variety of organic and vegan foods throughout the store starting with baby and continuing through adulthood. Our favorite section is produce; any kind of fresh fruits and veggies, we love, especially the fresh baby spinach, the organic asparagus, the fresh cut herbs and spices that were priced just right for our budget. The grapes looked amazing and are priced at $1.27 per pound. Peelz's mandarines are on sale for $1.77 for a 2lb bag. This Friday a 3 day sale begins with General Mills cereal marked at $1.88 a box. Buy one get one free 26-30 count bag of shrimp, buy one get one bacon or bone in pork chops, 3 /$6. 6-8 oz pkg of Kraft cheese, and $4.99 Our brand American Cheese. The Valentine's Day gifts will be gone soon so please don't forget to get your shopping done today. The salad bar and prepared sushi looks fresh . On a different note; Giant is hiring for all positions and all shifts. They will be having a hiring event within the next few days. If you have an electric car , don't worry chargers are available to you while you shop. Across the street is the fueling station. Prices start at $3.19 a gallon. Lastly, bring your clothing donations and contribute towards the needs of others. Donation bins are located at the front entrance, both sides. I hope this helps you, your loved ones, and your pets!

What a great little gem I found outside of Marcus Hook in Boothwyn Pennsylvania near Chester. Super…read moreeasy to order online the staff inside couldn't be nicer very clean and the hoagie was outstanding and fresh. It's a small Italian deli with other specialty Italian foods inside if you're in the area it's a must try and reasonably priced.

I just found this place recently and I've only been here 3 times. This place has been busy all…read morethree times and I went at differents time of the day. My first two were excellent, the third not so much. I've had an old world Italian hoagie and a roast beef hoagie, had the mini size and both were jam packed with delicious ingredients. There was a time I could have eaten the largest size, which is 3 times the size of the mini, but as an old man the mini was perfect. My most recent visit I ordered a regular size kielbasa with sauerkraut, which for most of the sandwiches would be like the medium size, for the kielbasa is was the smallest they offered. Well, I should have asked for the kraut on the side because when I got home the nice Aversa's roll was soggy, my fault there. On the other hand the kielbasa tased like Hillshire Farm mass produced crap. When the guy got it from the refrigerated cooler where they keep the deli meats he carried it with both hands in a manner as to hide the package it was in, I thought it was odd at the time but didn't think any more about it, until I got home and realized why. While waiting for my sandwich, I saw what looked like 'real' kielbasa in with the deli meats so I was very disappointed when I went to enjoy the sandwich only to have the taste and texture to like be a glorified hot dog. Overall I like the place, the prices and hoagies are great. But, I now know not to order anything but the hoagies here.

The most joyous of rating upgrades. Four years departed nonetheless. Pictured is half a large…read moreItalian and half a small turkey. I see why my first rating was a 4 on the turkey, it's good but not blowing faces. To be fair, you gotta have awfully good fixins to take a turkey to a 5 count. You want to see it but it ain't easy not being cheesy. Kovacs got good fixins but it's deli style fixins, they're not going to the county fair tryna win medals. Kovacs does come correct on the bread which is such an obvious miss for many in the area. Nice soft airy hoagie roll like ya like it. The Italian though is the winner. The meat to sandwich ratio is elite, and the meats themselves were top top. I honestly didn't take time to pinpoint what about the meats were so good cause I straight inhaled this hoagie. Needless to say I'm coming back. Thus far best hoagie in the locale for sure.

Hidden gem in Media!…read more While it looks like your average corner store from the outside, once you walk in, you are met with incredible energy from the owner and a special deli selection that is sure to meet anyone's standards. In any day, you can expect an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, all on a long roll (personally my favorite way to eat a breakfast sandwich,) and beyond that, he has a great meet and cheese deli selection. He doesn't skimp on portions, and it's really affordable. I've been enjoying a Buffalo chicken hoagie, with the works! You may be surprised to find out that he is slinging meatball subs too, which he claims to be the crowd pleasure. After trying it for the first time, I can certainly see why. Healthy layers of cheese and you can tell he puts in time and thoughtfulness to his sauce and meatball recipes. If you are looking for any drinks or snacks to compliment the sandwich, he has aisles packed out with a number of options. Beyond the food itself, you'll remember the owner. Kind and funny!

My husband and I just love heading to the Country Deli for breakfast. We're there at least once,…read moremaybe twice a week. If you've never been, it's a cute little country eatery adjacent to an antique shop and feed and seed store, very close to Ridley Creek State Park. The owners and staff are very friendly and we truly look forward to seeing them when we go. Once seated, we love to relax while sipping one of their gourmet flavored coffees. The food is yummy as well! They have quite the selection on their regular menu along with daily specials. They have a huge variety of baked goods including many assorted muffins along with seasonal Irish soda bread that Bryan bakes on site. Next time you're looking to visit a quaint little family owned restaurant, check out the Country Deli!

I haven't visited for a few years now because my last experience was repulsive…read more Perhaps it was a coincidence but I received very odd treatment (abnormal from all my prior experiences) here when we asked non-white friends to join us for lunch. We were seated in the corner by the cookie jars, 3 kids among us. The waitress for some reason could not hear my non-white friend even though she was perfectly audible to me, and I was audible to the waitress (not speaking any louder than my friend). Nonetheless, my friend had to repeat herself more than once, and I felt her guard go up that the treatment was odd. My protective instinct for them (and my child) went up as well. The food took an extremely long time but that can happen at lunch because they are very busy. What was odd was that my friend was given an order of fries she never asked for--I heard her order THREE TIMES and somehow the waitress still did not get it right. I will add that the waitress was extremely preoccupied with a male customer, flirting, giggling and acting like a high schooler (she was 20-something). I get being giddy in a new relationship but it was completely distracting her from her job and was totally inappropriate especially considering all the mistakes she was making. We also had to wait extremely long periods between being given water, ketchup (again, my friend's request), our bill, etc. Worst part, the bill was extremely high and included about $15 more than what we ordered. We were charged for the fries she mistakenly (on purpose?) gave us, and the wrong sandwiches were on there too. You know what I did? I did the "nice white girl" thing and obediently made no fuss and left a tip that waitress never deserved. It's sad I was confused and overwhelmed by the sh!tty treatment and in denial about what happened. Yes, I should have made a complaint then and there but they'd already made us late for the arboretum, plus when you treat people passive aggressively, and you make 3 kids between 1 and 5 have to sit for an hour of the slowest incompetent service ever, I had to just pay and leave because I was not going to make a scene in front of kids and the place was slammed with people so I'd have had to further wait for someone to be available. However I did attempt to call them multiple times in the days after but no one picked up during lunch hours when I called. They have no email address I could find to show my receipt and as the days passed I had a million other things to do as the mom of a young child so that's how it goes when a business has no email in the 21st Century. We were treated like crap and overcharged. I realized all my prior visits were with my family or extended family, all white people. Childhood visits were with a white friend who lives nearby, and her white family. You can see in photos and reviews I have been to this place many times going back to my childhood, but I haven't returned since and I will never go back. I got a good sense of how it feels when "odd" passive aggressive behavior seems to happen around non-white people, and yes it could be honest mistakes (a series of them aimed at my non-white friend) or it could be discriminatory. It could be that one waitress's attitude is irreflective of the establishment but this is what happened at this establishment, and the result is we were treated deplorably and I have no reason to ever return. They owe me an overcharge of $15 plus the unfairly high tip I left that horrible waitress!
