Mind you, I was charged a $96 restocking fee which if I was returning a pallet of heavy tiles I would understand, but a handful of pencil tiles I could carry in, ridiculous! Then I was refunded an incorrect amount. When I reached out to the manager, he told me unfortunately there were two broken tiles. I told him I returned 63 (to include 3 free ones that were given to me as samples under my contractor's account which I was in no way required to return) so a total of 63 pieces. I explained if only two were broken that still leaves 61 that were not so I should receive a full refund. All of the tiles I bought were wrapped by them and unopened. The 3 samples were not and full disclosure, one of the samples was broken and I was aware when I returned it. He told me all 3 were returned to the contractors account "unbroken"and I would be charged for the broken ones. I can only assume he chose to ignore that the ones that were bought only contained 1 broken and a broken sample and protect the stores bottom line by returning the free ones back to the stores inventory and let the client increw the cost. Unfortunately the manager in my opinion did not do right by this client. If your business model is protect the store and the contractors, then he did his job. I would tell you to beware and ask the what if questions. Also, floor and decor does NOT charge a restocking fee and they are MUCH cheaper

The young man who helped me at the Cypress Creek location, Cameron, was very helpful and patient while I made my decision on tile. He was professional and helped me pick an accent tile that I love. Highly recommend this Tile Shop to find tile for all home projects.

I am the Victim of a Wild Hair Project my Wife threw me at full speed this last week…read more We began with swapping the bathtubs for shower basins, compete with tiled walls, magnetic shower-head and glass doors. We also added in new cabinets. Cabinets To Go was recommended by a friend that has several rental properties and uses them exclusively. Ida welcomed us, sat us down and listened to what we were envisioning. The showroom had a modern style of quality cabinets in colors we had a hard time deciding upon. Annapolis Blue and A slate gray were our choices for both baths. Turn around on ordering the cabinets and receiving them was under two weeks and installation took about a day. Bennie, Seth and John were smooth, competent and a heck of a lot quieter than I thought they would be. They even packed out the cardboard the cabinets were shipped on. These cabinets look great. Word of caution. The faces of the drawers and doors are not drilled out and are not ready for pulls and handles. I am doing this task myself, but Bennie does offer that service at a separate fee per drill hole. Fit and finish are right up there with custom on-site manufacture cabinet shops at a reasonable price. I am going to use them when I get ready to update my kitchen. Ciao, Darrell

WARNING My countertop purchase was horrible....I checked…read morethe box to view slab before fabrication and they failed to call me. They cut it then called me and told me it was ready. When I told them I had checked the box to see the slab first and even had the sales person make a notation in the computer, they more or less said too bad. I then asked them to send pictures of the cut slab. When they did, It had a large gray vain running through it and it looked nothing like the picture of the slab that I ordered from. The picture I ordered from was cream colored with light soft gold veining. I had multiple conversations with Sherry Pennier and she was not the nicest person to deal with. She told me that I would have to buy another slab and have it redone. When I asked her for the number of her supervisor she refused to give it to me. After arguing she finally said she would have the next person up give me a call. Sean Demory was no better. When I asked him for the next person up he said he was it. He refused to give me an email or number of anyone else I could talk to. When I asked him what happened to customers were always right he said no they were not. While it is not perfect, it is a lot better than it was. The funny part is that the individual from Houston Granite asked me twice for their name and contact info and did not understand why I would not give it to them. Reason being, I spent a lot of time and had to pay this person to fix what they could not do right themselves and they did nothing to help me in getting this resolved. I can only assume he wanted their information to fix other seams they cannot get done correctly for other customers. I had to use a lot of my time and pay extra for something that Houston Granite and Flooring could not do right the first time and could not correct without taking away the shine of the countertop.

My house however, being constructed mostly of wood, and having seen some sixty plus years on this earth, has recently demanded that a certain amount of cosmetic care be performed. OK, it's just siding and shouldn't be too hard to find....once again my assumptions concerning the workings of the world have pr oven to be completely incorrect. Three weekends of banging my head against the walls of box-stores and "contractor only" lumber yards lead me to this little gem of an establishment. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inviting probably isn't a motif to be expected from folks who sell long planks of wood. Once through the doors things aren't anymore easy on the eyes, but the fantastic assortment of construction related odds and ends is something to behold. There were fasteners for the gutters that I had assumed had fallen out of production years ago, and copper flashing for the front door that I purchased just because I'd never seen it before. Aside from product, the folks working there didn't seem to mind that I had no real idea of what I was looking for...an attitude that had been sorely missed in recent encounters. No one minded that the only information I could provide was a rough sketch of my siding profile, improvised on a post-it. They answered with actual samples of the profiles available...which was pointless because they knew exactly what was needed based on the neighborhood my home was located in. While the process of actually loading the lumber into my vehicle seemed a bit confused and haphazard, little time was wasted and the transaction left me with more than I managed to accomplish in several previous weekends' time. HGTV designer craziness this place is not, but for the practical homeowner trying a bit of the old DIY this place is worth a stop.

They will deliver it for $100, I offered to pay that and have them deliver it to their own yard as a way around and I was told it was impossible. So come in at 4:10, knowing they close at 5, have to wait at the counter to get served for 20 mins, then I'm told the yard closes at 4:30 so can't collect today and will have to come back in the morning. Considering it's a lumber yard, the yard actually being open till 5, or just closing at 4:30, or mentioning it on their opening times would make sense. Turn up in the morning at 6:40, to be first through the gate at 7, to only wait 15 mins to even have my paper work looked at to pull the order. It's a terrible service. I use this place when I'm in a pinch, now I will just avoid at all costs. Doesn't matter who you are or how much you spend (I'm a contractor that spends 80-100,000 a year now else where) , they are not interested in decent customer service. Do yourself a favour and look around for a different supplier. Make this your last option.

From what I witnessed, there was favoritism, unfair treatment, and a very hostile work environment toward employees of color. One employee in particular was constantly singled out, picked on, and threatened with write-ups over small things while others were treated differently. What made the situation even worse was how management handled a family death. An employee was grieving the loss of his father and was reportedly threatened with disciplinary action for arriving late on the day of the funeral. Later, he was fired for being 10 minutes late even after giving advance notice ahead of time. That shows a serious lack of compassion and respect for employees. There were also repeated racist remarks and language in the workplace that made the environment uncomfortable and unacceptable. No employee should have to deal with discrimination or hostility while simply trying to do their job. I hope corporate takes these concerns seriously and works to create a more respectful and fair workplace for everyone.

There seems to be a lack of consistency in how employees are treated, and it feels like some workers are not given the same respect or opportunities as others. The management style comes across as unprofessional at times and discouraging rather than supportive. For a company of this size, I expected better leadership and a more fair and respectful workplace culture. I hope corporate takes a serious look at how this location is being run.
