We used Aceco to help with the insulation in our home. During the cold winter nights, the heat had been running continuously - shutting off in the middle of the night and waking us to a crisp 60-62 F house temperature. The basement was always too cold in the winter and we had noticeable temperature shifts between floors. The summer heat caused similar problems. Aceco identified the areas where we were losing heat/cold and gave us a few options to best correct the problem. They also worked with our schedules and completed the work in a single day. We had some extremely cold nights this winter, but the heat has never shut off (yeah!) and the temperature differences between floors is gone. Hooray! We're happy with the results and expect that the summer cooling problems will also be resolved. (That open question is keeping my rating at 4 stars until this is confirmed.) read more

These guys are totally irresponsible. We called about a raccoon in our attic. They charged us $199 for an "inspection." The guy went up on our roof and confirmed that the 'coon was getting in via an exhaust vent for our attic fan, which is what we had figured. He never looked in the attic at all. He set a trap on our roof and baited it with cat food. A couple days later, when that didn't seem to be working, my wife put some smoked salmon in the trap. Bingo! At 2 am Saturday we heard the raccoon thumping around. When we got up we verified that he was indeed in the cage and called AcEco at 8 am. Even though they claimed to be available 24/7, the phone rang and rang and rang before we finally got a recording. We left a message asking for them to call us and let us know when they'd be up. Several hours later we called again. Same thing. Sunday at 11 am we called to say that there was supposed to be a foot of snow on the way and that it would be animal cruelty to leave him up there. When there was still no response we called Animal Control. Officer Clark was great -- she came right out to check out the situation. Although AcEco told us they had 32 hours to pick the raccoon up once he was trapped, she said that was not the case: that it was 24 hours and the trap was supposed to be in a sheltered place anyway, not directly exposed to the elements. She was also highly dubious that they were, as they claimed to us, a catch-and-release company. In any event, after she called them and left a message which went unreturned, she went up and lowered the cage down with a rope. This was a monster raccoon -- probably 25-35 lbs. While we would have liked to have had him transported up to the foothills somewhere, all she could do was release him in our front yard. It is obvious that this company is unresponsive once they've taken your money and cares nothing for the welfare of the animal. They also don't seem to care about abiding by regulations. read more

We used aceco for a mouse problem. We found them to be extremely helpful, professional and thorough. We were welcome to call and ask questions and learned a great deal. They thoroughly cleaned and trapped the mice and went above and beyond in helping to eliminate the smell from our extensive infestation. The smell is so much better than it was and if any odor remains, we know aceco couldn't have done anything more. We were very satisfied customers! read more

We used AcEco last September (2014) for bed bugs we collected from the YMCA of Estes Park and was very pleased with the service. Isaac created an open line of communication with me and my wife before we even met. he even had us do some prep work ahead of time as to keep the overall price down. The spray they used did not smell and we have not had a recurrence of the bed bugs since. Price was about $350 read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had an estimate for insulation in my attic done in 2020. I decided to wait for the installation. In the beginning of 2021 I continually was told "I'm on the list for insulation to be done, we are looking at the beginning of the month" I'd then get a call their equipment was broken and they would call me when they were up and running. Then I would get a call and be told the same thing, that their looking at the beginning of the month. They never called to schedule anything. Then I got a call saying they would let me know when they are coming, I told them I would need a couple days notice due to my job and planning for something that would take several hours. I just can't get a call in the morning and be available that afternoon. Well this was MONTHS ago. I got a call today from them telling me they are ready to schedule. It's been 7 months since I have signed to have my insulation done with them. I told the lady on the phone to forget about it. At this point this company cannot be trusted to follow through with anything. read more

I first contacted AcEco in May 2015 for what I thought was a squirrel in my home's chimney. The squirrel was gone by the time AcEco's tech arrived, so I had him install a chimney cap. All was good until the high winds last month blew the cap off, and that's when the fun began. I called to ask that the cap be reinstalled (it wasn't badly damaged) and their call taker said it would cost me $39. I said I thought it should be covered under a warranty, and was told she'd have to call me back. Got a call back soon thereafter and was told that, yes, the work would be covered under AceCo's one-year warranty, so I made an appointment. I also mentioned that I have a two-story house, and that their technician would need a long ladder. Before that day arrived, I got another call (from Andrea?) to tell me that their work was not covered under a warranty since no installation could be expected to withstand such high (!) wind speeds. Also, it would cost me $59 (not $39) and sorry about the mix-up on the price. I didn't have much choice, so I agreed and reminded her about the long ladder. Appointment day arrives and the technician shows up without the long ladder. Sorry, he says, nobody told me, he says, so we have to reschedule. Second appointment day arrives, and since I'm at work my wife has to deal with the technician. She mentions that we're disappointed that the work isn't covered by AceCo's warranty, and he tells her the warranty is only for a year. She tells him the cap was installed less than a year ago, and he says, well, they told me it was out of warranty, and that'll be $49 (not $59; not $39). At least he brought the right ladder. Now I'm annoyed at the different stories (warranty vs. high winds) and different prices, so I call to discuss it with Andrea. I left a message since she wasn't in, and never heard back. The next time it blows off, I'll call someone else. read more

FRAUDULENT! DISHONEST! BUYER BEWARE! I hired them to remove squirrels from my roof. What a mistake! Here is my original complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau: Aceco unlawfully saved my card number from a November 2014 payment for services. They had to return in January for the original job not being done correctly and then they had to return again March 10 2015 for failure of the work they did in January. They said that there would be no charge for the March 10 work. They charged my credit card, that I only gave them authorization to use back in November, on April 22 2015, more than a month after any services! I did not authorize any payment. The only time I gave them my credit card information was in Novemer 2014. Aceco's Response: This customer called us to get rid of some squirrels that were getting into her home. We worked extensively with her to get them out. We did everything that the customer requested including removing numerous squirrels and sealing up several entry points. The squirrels chewed their way back in and got into the wall. We immediately went out and worked to get the squirrels out and re-block the opening. She was charged $149 for the initial service. We normally also charge for each squirrel that is removed and relocated and for repairing the entry points, however she did not end up paying for any of the 4 squirrels that we removed or the repairs. After going out to her home yet again and removing the last squirrel she was charged $39 for this one. She called and complained that she didn't feel she should be charged for any of the squirrels so rather than argue with this customer, we refunded her the $39. She no longer has any problems with the squirrels getting in. We took care of the problem and did everything we could to make her happy including giving her numerous services for free. LIARS! Aceco continues to be a dishonest company even as they respond to my complaint. Here's what actually happened... I was charged $149 in November for the initial service of sealing the hole where squirrels were entering my roof, but that service was never completed. They sprayed the area with repellent, but THE HOLE WAS NEVER SEALED! The squirrel returned and was in my roof again by January. When the manager David came out to correct the job, he SEALED A SQUIRREL IN MY ROOF! The trapped and panicked squirrel traveled through my walls looking for an exit and it finally found its way out in my basement! When I initially realized the squirrel was trapped in my roof, I called the manager to let him know and he said there was no way that could happen and was dismissive of my concern. Once he captured the squirrel, he was so apologetic that he not only told me I wouldn't be charged for the trapping and removal, but he offered to also return the initial payment of $149. I told him that returning the initial payment would not be necessary. Again, a few months later in March a squirrel had chewed through the the seal they installed and was back in my roof. David, the manager, came back out and trapped the squirrel and told me of course I wouldn't be charged as this was due to their work not holding up and they have a guarantee on the work provided. In total ONE entry way was sealed twice in three attempts and TWO squirrels were removed. Not only did I not authorize the $39 removal fee, I was told I would not be charged for it, but what is most disturbing and ILLEGAL is that they held onto my card number for 5 months and then charged my card without permission. They did not return the $39 removal fee which was illegally charged to my card. I had to report the charge to my bank as fraudulent and unauthorized and the card was canceled. This company has caused me unnecessary stress and anguish due to their low quality workmanship, poor customer service, and fraudulent business practices. read more

If you schedule with these people, expect them to be seriously late and they don't bother to call you to let you know. Then when you call more than once to find out where they are, you're just told to sit and wait longer. Your time as a consumer does not matter to this company read more

We've been using AcEco since last August, and so far, it's great. The service techs are extremely nice and easy to work with, the office staff is quick to respond, and the service has been great. We have the quarterly spray for spiders --- I saw one before their first visit and one just before the quarterly treatment so I'd say it's working. We've been dealing with a mouse issue in our attic, and they are currently helping us capture them and get things under control. So far, so good and I highly recommend. Their prices are wonderful as well! read more

AcEco has helped eliminate the ant problem at our cafe in Lyons. We have them apply treatment on a monthly basis during warmer months and less frequently during the colder months. They have also applied treatments for ants in our home basement with great success. The cost for service is very reasonable. As we are a "green" cafe, I really appreciate that AcEco uses the best reduced toxicity or non-toxic and Eco-Friendly products available in our business and at our home. read more
