We moved into our new home excited about the quartz countertops and bathroom sink they installed. That excitement quickly turned to frustration when we discovered glue left on the quartz and etching on the bathroom sink. These defects were not visible during the builder's "quality inspection" -- only after we actually moved in, cleaned the surfaces ourselves, and saw them under normal daily use. When we raised these issues, Metro Stone and Granite's response was to shrug it off and blame us, insisting we should have caught it before moving in. To make matters worse, they sent out a technician who didn't even know the difference between granite and quartz, and proceeded to lecture us about how Windex can etch granite -- which is irrelevant, because we don't even have granite. This company does not take accountability, delivers subpar work, and treats customers like they're the problem. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Metro Stone and Granite is unprofessional, careless, and completely unworthy of your trust.

As each year goes by the floors look worse and I regret that I didn't do my work to find a better flooring company. The problems started when the crew mgr. called me to come to the house due to a small section of hardwood I added that wasn't going in right. He did come up with a solution that worked. But, I noticed the color of the floors in the kitchen, dining room and foyer were different than the color in the family room, but they kept going and didn't stop to tell me that there was a problem, the family room and kitchen run together as one big room! (Apparently the wood in the family room was a different grade of wood than the kitchen.) The color that I asked for was in the family room. The crew leader said that since they did all the other floors, they would only redo the color in the family room. I said absolutely not, that isn't the color that I asked for. The crew started yelling at me in Spanish, they were not happy. I'm not sure what they didn't do, but after a couple of years, my floors were a mess. Lots of color kept coming off when mopping them (I waited several months before mopping), and the floor is dull in places and not smooth and there are gashes in the wood that I never had before. I do have a dog, but I've always had dogs and never have had this problem. I also had to work with the crew, Doug, who's the owner didn't handle any of my problems, he said I needed to work with the crew. My mother had just passed away, this entire experience with D & D was one that I really regret.

I have used many cleaning companies, having rental properties in multiple US cities, and each miss things sometimes, Cindy will make this right. Yes, it is in our contract and shame on us for not paying closer attention to that- please learn from our mistakes- don't take Carlos word for anything- Read your contract and have them remove the old flooring prior to placing your LVP.

Look over contract and pricing closely. Our opinion is to Find someone else to do your floors. Having said that the guys that actually did the job actually worked hard and did a good job.
