After buffing her finger nails and toe nails, they looked rough on the surface with some slight shine. Definitely not the smooth and shiny surface you get from Ladies Nails in Lakewood. (Lesson learned)... I tried explaining to the nail tech and showing her that her nails were literally scratched and they tried to buff them again and just said that it takes time for the oils, or something like that. Which I've never heard of...I really tried liking this place as it was closer to my work. But never again. So disappointed

Brian was my…read morenail tech, and the amount of detail he put into my nails especially around my cuticles was incredible. He took his time and was so gentle during the removal process. Instead of aggressively drilling down or yanking my old set off, he removed them with so much care, which I really appreciated. He gave me the exact shape I asked for, and although my design was simple, the execution was flawless. The quality of his work speaks for itself. Safe to say, I've found my new nail tech and will be leaving my old salon behind. I can't wait to come back!

At Luminous, everyone is always so friendly when I arrive and throughout my time there. Daphne, the receptionist, is there when I go and she's always make me feel welcomed. Susy does my nails and she always does an amazing job! As you can see from the pictures, she is so detailed and my nails ALWAYS look good. I genuinely love coming here because it's an inviting place and while I'm there it's like an escape from everything else I have going on. We chit chat, laugh, and have a good time which makes the experience more enjoyable. I always leave the salon in a great mood. Tracy usually does my pedicures and she's amazing. Anytime I'm there for just a manicure, she always says hi to me and I really appreciate that. Angelica is amazing as well and does amazing work, I'd definitely recommend her as well! During my most recent appointment, I got a gel pedicure that took about two hours. I have acrylic on both of my big toes and I mentioned ahead of time that one of them was lifting slightly. I told the technician that if it needed to be replaced, I was completely okay with that. I chose a really pretty pink color, but unfortunately it turned out to be very sheer. By the time the service was finished, you could clearly see the acrylic lifting underneath, and one of the acrylics is slightly discolored, which shows through the polish. Because of that, I'm not comfortable wearing open-toed shoes. For $65 and two hours in the chair, I left feeling really disappointed. My first visit also had some issues. I asked for Gel-X, and it seemed like it might have been the first time the technician had done that service. The nails were all slightly different shapes, and when I got home I realized a topcoat was missed on my thumb. I ended up walking around for three weeks with one nail looking different from the rest. At the time, I assumed it was just a fluke since it was Valentine's Day and the salon was very busy with kids running around in the lobby. I truly wanted this place to work out and gave it a second chance, but unfortunately my experiences haven't been consistent. I hope they continue to grow and improve because the salon really does have potential.
