When we arrived, the place was completely empty except for two workers. I was getting a pedicure and my sister was getting a builder gel set. I was seated first, and as soon as my sister was about to sit down, there was a literal ROACH crawling on the chair. She immediately pointed it out and said she couldn't sit there. The employee who was supposed to do my pedicure quickly picked it up and threw it away. Looking back, I honestly don't know why we didn't leave right then and there. We decided to stay, and they started working on my sister's nails while turning on the tub for my pedicure so my feet could soak. A few minutes later, another woman who I believe was the owner came in and started talking with the employee. They stood there chatting for about 15 minutes while I sat in the spa chair waiting. I kept looking over to see if someone was going to help me, but nobody did. Eventually I got fed up and stood up to leave. Only then did they finally acknowledge me and say they were ready to start. At that point, I was done waiting. Between finding a roach in the salon and being completely ignored while sitting there ready for service, this was a terrible experience. The cleanliness and customer service were both extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning.

Glad i did. The owner was a nice man who was present and engaging with customers and the employees. I went on a Tuesday for my birthday and i was surprised how busy they were for being a Tuesday early afternoon! The shop was clean and well lit and I didn't see if they had wifi connection but you had good signal nonetheless. There were TVs but they weren't on but they had music on and it wasn't over powering. I liked there was plenty of parking too! They didn't have much selection for colors so maybe bring your own if you have your heart set on a certain color especially if it's an obscure one. I didn't do my hands (only because I don't ever do my hands) The pedicure chair was comfy and roomy and my pedicure was great! They accept cards as payments, but please bring cash for a tip! I'm definitely going back. And wear your Mexico jersey for a discount! (I only grabbed two pictures!) ETA I took off a star for lack of color choices and it was pretty warm in there. Instead of aggressively drilling down or yanking my old set off, he removed them with so much care, which I really appreciated. He gave me the exact shape I asked for, and although my design was simple, the execution was flawless. The quality of his work speaks for itself. At Luminous, everyone is always so friendly when I arrive and throughout my time there. Daphne, the receptionist, is there when I go and she's always make me feel welcomed. Susy does my nails and she always does an amazing job! As you can see from the pictures, she is so detailed and my nails ALWAYS look good. I genuinely love coming here because it's an inviting place and while I'm there it's like an escape from everything else I have going on. We chit chat, laugh, and have a good time which makes the experience more enjoyable. I always leave the salon in a great mood. Tracy usually does my pedicures and she's amazing. Anytime I'm there for just a manicure, she always says hi to me and I really appreciate that. Angelica is amazing as well and does amazing work, I'd definitely recommend her as well! During my most recent appointment, I got a gel pedicure that took about two hours. I have acrylic on both of my big toes and I mentioned ahead of time that one of them was lifting slightly. I told the technician that if it needed to be replaced, I was completely okay with that. I chose a really pretty pink color, but unfortunately it turned out to be very sheer. By the time the service was finished, you could clearly see the acrylic lifting underneath, and one of the acrylics is slightly discolored, which shows through the polish. Because of that, I'm not comfortable wearing open-toed shoes. For $65 and two hours in the chair, I left feeling really disappointed. My first visit also had some issues. I asked for Gel-X, and it seemed like it might have been the first time the technician had done that service. The nails were all slightly different shapes, and when I got home I realized a topcoat was missed on my thumb. I ended up walking around for three weeks with one nail looking different from the rest. At the time, I assumed it was just a fluke since it was Valentine's Day and the salon was very busy with kids running around in the lobby. I truly wanted this place to work out and gave it a second chance, but unfortunately my experiences haven't been consistent. I hope they continue to grow and improve because the salon really does have potential.
