They do offer a military/veterans discount. The friendly lady was telling me that yes, they get people from around the world, coming to see the spot. The very first time I passed through Winslow many, many, many years ago, the main thing I remember, was the grinding poverty. My mom, my child, and I were on a road trip from NM to AZ, and our car started shutting down -- with the power going in and out and hardly moving forward. We made it to a shop in the town before this one, and they replaced our alternator. We waited for hours to get back on the road again, only to have the exact issues happen again. I looked up the closest place we could go to, and this Auto Parts store popped up. It was the only place the car could've made it and I am so grateful it was them. They confirmed it was the alternator right away. The whole time, they kept the atmosphere safe and welcoming -- which mattered a lot as two women traveling with a child -- and even moved our car into the shade while we waited for the part.
