I headed straight for the tool section, where Jude helped me track down the exact drill bits I needed. Both Jude and Nathan were excellent--helpful, patient, and friendly. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! All in all, great selection, great service, and a team that makes shopping here a genuinely positive experience.

But sometimes you need alternative choices on merchandise, or quick in and out convenience if you are in this shopping center for some of their local treasures like Sweet Cow or Lucky's or Neptune or Kim & Jakes or Pharmaca and you think of something else and this store will save you a separate trip. I saw something on their outdoor display area when I was leaving Lucky's and went in to check it out. It was what I had thought about to solve a yard problem, it was on sale and worked out well. The owner was there, he's had the store for about 10 years he said and I thought it was greatly improved since it's days in the 80s and 90s as Rad Hardware.

My boyfriend went in to exchange an item here (our regular store didn't have it), and the guy…read moreapparently refused to do the exchange because he didn't have the card we bought it on, which would be understandable but the Evergreen location hasn't given us any issues like that. They've been very accommodating when we've had to return things with no receipt and no card. But basically he had to call me and wake me up at 7am so I could drive 30 min over there to put in my card in order to finally get the thing he needed for a project he had to get done that morning. Huge waste of time and energy (and gas). Anyone practicing good customer service would have understood the situation and helped us out. So safe to say won't be going back there anytime soon.
