We called several places in Marin, Sonoma and mendo county. Barnes lumber not only had one of the best prices, but they were able to mill our wood that day! They stayed open so we could drive up from Santa Rosa after work to pick up our order! Super friendly, wonderful couple that run the mill. Fast forward 2 weeks and we find that we accidentally cut a board wrong and found ourselves short a board. Once again Barnes Lumber to the rescue! They custom cut our last 14ft piece, 10 3/4 just what we need to finish the job! Super pleasant. We talked to them at 9 am and order was ready by noon.

The story was: After several days of trying to get my internet working again with Comcast, including two half hour calls with Comcast and multiple 'resets' etc., I realized they were not going to be helpful, so I called Cloverdale Computer and asked if they could help me. I described the symptoms and the person I was speaking to, made a quick diagnosis that it was likely a Comcast line and and that I needed to call Comcast back and get one of their technicians out. I did that, Comcast sent the technician, it was a line problem and I was back up and running! I offered to pay for a phone consult and no charge!

Absolutely thrilled with our new blinds from Budget Blinds of Healdsburg!…read more We replaced all of the blinds in our home, and the experience couldn't have been better. Locally owned and operated, the team was amazing from start to finish -- professional, friendly, and fun to work with. Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The blinds themselves are beautiful, high-quality, and surprisingly affordable. One arrived with a very minor shipping imperfection -- something I honestly wouldn't have even noticed -- but the installer insisted on replacing it so that everything would be flawless. Two weeks later, the new blind was installed at no cost and with a smile. I love supporting local businesses, and Budget Blinds of Healdsburg truly deserves the praise. Great people, great service, and a great product. Highly recommend!

Although I've never written a Yelp review (after 10+ years of Yelping!), I felt compelled to share…read moremy overwhelmingly positive experience with Josh Kinder of Kinder Works. Josh helped me design and build a couple of custom pieces for my small office in San Francisco - a fridge cabinet for a paneled refrigerator, replacement cabinet fronts, a shelf, desk/table top, movable storage chests (which double as a secondary work top!), and a super cool slotted "dolly" which makes a large storage cabinet mobile, while holding a full-length mirror perfectly flush with the side of the cabinet. Amazing! Josh is a creative thinker and expert problem solver, with an exceptionally positive, "can-do" attitude (so refreshing!). I brought many rough ideas, inspiration images, and bad sketches - and Josh immediately saw the vision and took it from a conceptual phase to a fully-considered end product that's both beautiful and functional. Beyond his creative talent and obvious woodworking skill, Josh just happens to be an incredibly kind, friendly, and down-to-earth guy - a true delight to work with! From materials selection, to 3D renderings of the designs, to real-time updates from his workshop, Josh went above and beyond to get the details right. The project ended up being more involved (and taking longer) than either of us thought, but Josh stayed committed to getting the job done, while keeping me in the loop every step of the way and honoring the original scope and estimate, despite extra time spent. His work ethic, creativity, skill, character, and integrity make him a pleasure to collaborate with. Thanks to Josh, the pieces all turned out better than I ever could have imagined, and really pulled my work space together in the most beautiful, cohesive, and functional way. Can't recommend Kinder Works enough!
