We called several places in Marin, Sonoma and mendo county. Barnes lumber not only had one of the best prices, but they were able to mill our wood that day! They stayed open so we could drive up from Santa Rosa after work to pick up our order! Super friendly, wonderful couple that run the mill. Fast forward 2 weeks and we find that we accidentally cut a board wrong and found ourselves short a board. Once again Barnes Lumber to the rescue! They custom cut our last 14ft piece, 10 3/4 just what we need to finish the job! Super pleasant. We talked to them at 9 am and order was ready by noon.

I described the symptoms and the person I was speaking to, made a quick diagnosis that it was likely a Comcast line and and that I needed to call Comcast back and get one of their technicians out. I did that, Comcast sent the technician, it was a line problem and I was back up and running! I offered to pay for a phone consult and no charge!

I was fortunate enough to meet Richard Landen while I was there. Richard was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I told Richard I needed to discuss a few of the model options with my wife, and I'd call him with a decision within a week. I phoned Richard a few days later, and told him which model Subzero we wanted to order. He couldn't have made the whole purchase any easier. Richard emailed me the receipt, and told me the new Subzero would be available for pickup in a few days. Richard was kind enough to inform me that if I selected a certified installer Subzero adds an extra year to the warranty! So I figured I had better do just that, and I went with Top Tier Appliance Installations which is owned by John Yeager. If there was ever an appropriately named business, it's John's business! John and his crew really were top tier! From keeping me apprised of their arrival time to protecting my floors removing the old SubZero, to being diligent as they carefully lugged these 800 pound machines (both the old Subzero and the new Subzero) up and down my stairs without damaging my home! The installation job they did on my new Subzero was spectacular! I would highly recommend John and his team without reservation! The first washer they installed was defective and it was replaced without question and very quickly. So I appreciated that however, the reason I'm giving them four stars rather than five is the Electrolux washer is just so dang noisy. It clunks and thuds and clunks and thuds. I've lived in the same house for the past 30 years and this is my third set of front load washers and dryers. None of the previous washers made noise like this one does. If you have your laundry hook up in the garage, you probably wouldn't notice it. My laundry room is adjacent to the downstairs family room, so the noise is noticeable. The reason I mentioned that I've had two previous front load washers and dryers is because it never occurred to me to ask if it was noisy because my previous sets were not noisy. Just something to take into consideration if your laundry hook up is inside your house and not out in the garage.
