I went here in hopes of finding some gently used furniture for my new home. Most of the couches looked dirty and stained-- it looked no better than what you'd find at goodwill. I was also hoping to find a nice bathroom vanity but all of them were very dated and had no sink tops. I did see a good amount of hanging lighting (chandeliers & pendant lights), bookshelves and hutches that seemed decent. I can't believed that I haven't been into this wonderful store until last year. What an AWESOME place to find treasures and affordable prices. Staff were kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The space is organized and filled will all kinds of goodies from large appliances, furniture to dishes, silverware, craft items and so much more. I love that this store gives life to items that still are good and working order. It has now been my first stop for home needs. We bought a small space heater and a few kitchen items. I had a hanging lamp that I had been meaning to donate for months. I finally made time to drop it by Restore this past weekend. It is SO easy to donate here. Drive right in to the clearly marked designated drop off area. There were two people working Saturday so even with a couple of people dropping off things moved quickly. We initially sent an email to ReStore in Santa Rosa, including photos of our large, heavy bar cabinet, which we wanted to donate rather than junk. We received a call in 24-hours saying that ReStore wanted the cabinet and we arranged a pick-up for the following week. The movers called us on the day before to confirm our appointment and on the day itself, to give us a more specific ETA for their arrival. This was a very positive experience. ReStore's website clearly explains which items of furniture they are interested in taking and they managed our expectations for what to expect. ReStore was the only place accepting charitable donations of larger furniture which would pick-up for free. Although as explained on their website, note they won't come into your home to pick up furniture; you have to take it outside yourself. We were glad our old bar cabinet was going to be re-used and were happy with how ReStore conducted themselves throughout this one-week process. read more

Great deals, every-changing inventory, friendly staff, tons of parking, and it's wonderful to see items being reused, resold, re-enjoyed items, retro/vintage things, and lots of good deals. We've purchased lots of used furniture here (often about $50 each, very reasonable) but also have found doors, screens, windows, knick knacks, lights, paint, mirrors, art, and rugs. The website was extremely informative, instructions were clear, I was able to check what items would be accepted and how to schedule a pickup for my donation. We had two credenzas to donate and contacted the ReStore. They responded within a few days to say they would be glad to accept them. Setting up the pick-up date and time was easy. The driver called to say they were on their way and they arrived right on time. This was the second time we have donated furniture to Habitat for Humanity. It is good to know it is so easy to donate to a charity that 1) accepts furniture, 2) handles the process very professionally, and 3) are very nice folks. read more

I'm sure the store is okay, but the drop off is terrible. Better double check what they will accept before heading that way, they are VERY picky and unwilling to help carry things in even if you are pregnant. Donate to a place that would appreciate it. read more

This is an awesome place if you are trying to replace stuff in your home. Lighting, sinks, appliances ect. I did notice there were some things that were overpriced. Other than that it is very organized and clean. Definitely will keep this in mind when trying to buy stuff for our home. read more

Just cleaned out some items from my house and donated them to Habitat for Humanity and Restore. They were wonderful to deal with and the knowledge that this location's donation to the national Habitat charity was about $600,000 made it even better. To know that items someone may no longer need can help others is the way the world should work IMHO. Not only that, they picked up my things, called ahead to set the time and day for pickup and followed up to make sure all went well. And then to top it off if you are a shopper the store has lovely, useful items at fair prices. It's a win-win for all. read more

Have found lots of great items in this store which supports Habitat for Humanity. Easy in and out. Good helpers inside.

I went in there looking for a couch and a bookshelf of some type. Im not really picky because it's only for 6 months or so and I was hoping to find a couch for around $60 and some shelves around $20 each. The couches are all $100 minimum and went all ten way up to $500. I wasn't expecting that. I saw a red chair I really liked and it was $350. That doesn't seem right for a place like this but what can I say. Maybe the chair was $3000 when it was new. I wouldn't know. There aren't any bookshelves per say when I went but that could a fluke. Windows outside were a really good price. I saw a wheelbarrow for $60 that also seemed insane. read more

I wanted to donate a very large standing wardrobe and a box of new, unopened light bulbs. The process was very easy -- submit photos via email and then talk on the phone with the ReStore staff to schedule a convenient pickup time. Staff came within the designated window of time and took both items. Everyone was very friendly, and it felt good to donate these items to a nonprofit doing important work. I love this place. Every week there is something different. They are picky about what they accept as donations because they want to sell attractive stuff. So many people want second stores to take their junk! What happens it that the second hand store has to pay to dump your crap. So, if you have junk, take it to the dump yourselves. If you have good stuff, donate it to Habitat. It's a great cause and there are many passionate and caring people who work and volunteer there. In terms of merchandise, it's a great place to check for sofas, chairs, lamps, tables, dishes, tools, paint, new rugs, and a plethora of other stuff. read more

Mngt sucks, they take apart my donations to them (higher price selling the door apart from the specific lock?) and the team ruins the bedroom set moving it, 1 person @SVDP cares more then the whole lot. They don't even try, any less work, . . .I'd feel better if any one of them had worked a day building a Habitat for Humanity home , in their life, like at other re-stores. Here, those people don't exist. 1 donation cost me $15 and they put a $75 on it, REALLY. This Santa Rosa Store is my least favorite and I re-purpose b/f buying new, as here the dusty stuff with high prices sits for months and months showing complete ineptness of the (re-) purpose, not warehouse it? Better management would make Jimmy Carter proud, corporate, take a hint? It's cool to shop for things you need that have been brought in and donated , approved by a team before they display to sell . Some items are like new . From a donation stand point this place is fantastic!! I've been doing some remodeling, and needed to get rid of my old things. A deep sink and countertop that were still in very good condition. I did not want to throw them away knowing that someone could still put them to good use. And I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling them. So I took them here for a tax deductible donation. And I saved it from the landfill and helped someone in need of a deep sink. I hope they take kitchen appliances, as I am still not done with my house remodel. And Home Depot wanted $15 each to haul away my old appliances, which are still good! No thanks! I'll donate them to someone who can use them! read more
