The best thrift store ever! You know why?! They have cats!!!! I stopped in with my boyfriend when we visited the Petaluma Outlets, we had both never been to this mall before. A few minutes after entering, my jaw dropped and I quickly called my boyfriend over because the cutest kitty cat was right by my feet! His name was coconut and apparently, he's the store mascot. That's not all though!!! A few minutes later as I'm walking around the store, I see another cute small cat staring at me from a small windowed room in the back! I had no clue it was a cat adoption store and also a thrift in one! It doesn't end there though!!!! As I was exploring the items they had near the cashier, I hear the sounds of the tiniest meows! Turns out they had two 5 week old kittens up there! I nearly died! SOOOOO SOOO CUTE! The store itself is also great! I walked away with two athleisure wear items at a low cost and a designer shirt. However I was a little bummed when I got home and I realized the shirt was ripped. Oh well. Still had a great time at the store! read more

A bit out of the way, but worth the trip for anyone who likes to thrift shop. It is well organized and the volunteers are especially friendly. Prices are fair if you are buying for yourself, no real steals if you are buying and reselling for profit. Nice selection of dishes and clothes and an occasional vintage find. read more

All in the name. For a thrift store, yeah, great stuff, true that. Cheap good stuff. GSTS has the following: men and women clothes, kitchen goods, wares, books, shoes, hats, electronics, sporting goods, and a little bit of everything else. I always stop in when I am in Petaluma. Last time I was in the store I got a free cookie! I've gotten bbq tools, a silver plated tray, books, cassette tapes, and other great items. The staff is kind, considerate, and professional. The store is clean, and since it benefits animals, the store supports a great cause. There are cats in the store!!! It is located in the Petaluma Outlet Mall. So, if you want to buy new things you can do that as well. This thrift store is a really great store. Like all thrift stores, it can be hit or miss, but I have always found something here. The staff even brought something out of the back to show me when I asked about certain items. So nice! read more

Great location friendly staff , and a Great cause for the cats which is amazing!!! 5 stars for that!! But for a thrift store to be honest very over priced. Some cool vintage stuff but not worth the prices. Lots of stuff but nothing in whole store caught my eyes but the cats lol. Dollar tree items for $2-4/each and broken items for $8. I would give away or toss most of stuff in backroom and start fresh, bargains there not. And work on better donations there small and local to Petaluma people should do a better job and donate to them then the greedy goodwills. Any cause for cats and animals should have more help. And the smell!!!! Love cats but allergies and nose were going crazy, if that effects you heads up. Couldn't spend more then 10mins inside. But Love the store site hope for nothing but a great future with minor changes. read more

Quirky. Organized greatly. Each size had its own rack and wasn't overly stuffed to where half the rack came with whatever it was that you pulled out to get a look at. Really nice china sets decently priced. The book area was organized as well. Possibly because it's not ransacked like at St Vincent or other thrift stores. I never would have thought to hit the outlets for a thrift store. Thanks to a tip from a fellow Yelper I tried this place. I walked out with records and a couple photo albums. My bonus sons class always has photos to be put in albums. Added bonus to the organized and price signs everywhere is that they are a rescue of animals. Cats/ dogs. They are being flooded with kittens. Adopt don't shop. I will return again. And for anyone who is curious it's across from The Gap and Old Navy in the outlets. read more

This is a great new store in the Outlet Mall. Prices are so much more reasonable then at least 3 of the others in town that I go by regularly. Clean, well organized, and quite a variety of merchandise. A great organization that helps spay, neuter, and adoptions in our area. They even have a little room enclosed in glass that you can watch the adorable kittens. I'll be back! read more

Lots of TERRIFIC stuff here at great prices. This is a thrift store I dream about going to. Lots of vintage collectibles I have only seen at antique malls. Theis thrift store is great! I got several beautiful dresses, a great business jacket, and an adorable sweater. I also found several DVDs at a cheap price. There is also a room that holds adoptable cats for the customers to meet. This nonprofit thrift store does a lot of great work, and the ladies who work there are friendly and patient. read more

I'm in LOVE. Petaluma is so fortunate to have its fourth wonderful non-profit thrift store. I have to say I am finding it much, much easier to let go of my beloved objects. All proceeds go towards the adoption,care and spay/neutering of well-loved foster dogs and cats. Can you ask for anything more?! It's super easy to drop off donations: just pull up next to the back door, buzz the buzzer and a volunteer will assist you with your donation. There is even a cart that you can load up to make it easier. And shopping at Great Stuff is divine! Wonderful things, great prices, well-organized, super friendly volunteers... and an adorable little chihuahua-rescue mascot. Yay! read more

I consider myself an experienced thrifter and know a good store when I visit one. Great Stuff Thrift Store is one of the best thrift stores in Petaluma. Prices are extremely reasonable, much lower on most things than anywhere. There is usually something on sale. Right now winter coats, shoes and scarves are half price. New donations are put on the floor daily. I've been shopping many times and always find the all volunteer staff cheerful, helpful and happy to have dog guests anytime. It is a sweet place, clean, organized and healthy. And best of all, all sales go to help cats and dogs find good homes. read more

This place rocks! They do adoption events within and even have this adorable cat room. Currently they are hosting "The Shy Cat' room. There is the most adorable cats in there too. The volunteers are very kind and not awkward with making conversation while you shop. They have everything you could possibly want to look for in a thrift store. The prices are very reasonable. The space is large and I absolutely love that they have made a book nook in the back. They have so many books to choose through and you can sit over there and get lost for hours looking through their assortment. I am told from the volunteers that they put new stuff out daily. They have tons of clothes, they even have plus sizes for women which is a rare find. So happy that I stumbled across this store, it is a fantastic find!! read more
