Cool small thrift store on the way to other stuff. Small parking lot but big enough to make a quick stop.

The prices are great and the two Kevin's that work there were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

As a homeless fellow he has no where to recuperate and he is right back at his encampment, eating the same garbage food and will inevitably be calling that ambulance again. When someone does not have a home the hospital is supposed to find respite care, but none was offered. This is not the first time I have been involved with their suspicious discharges. It certainly does not follow the humanistic attitude of this hospitals forefathers. Nor is it economically sound and it requires more and more hospital visits and ambulance attention.

The area is sketchy but what part of Oakland isn't. Upon entering you get a rift of smelly clothes and not enough ventilation. Store was busy so I made my way to the less crowded area and moved along. As I had filled my buggy up, I was waiting for the cashier when I glanced and saw some Alexander Mcqueen shoes in my size. I said to myself, today is my lucky day. I did knock off a star as no on greets or acknowledges you and probably they are used to people just chilling doing nothing in the store. The store could be a little organized with the shoes and general nic nacks they have on the shelves. If you looking for a bargain and things that can be washed and disaffected then don't judge and make your way over here.

Today there was a different cashier who charged me 4 items when I had 3 and told me she cannot refund me despite her mistake. She was the store manager, nice, but still. This is done purposefully. It has happened too many times to be a coincidence. Another way to boost revenue is to charge men prices for kids items. I don't have to be treated that way. I am a custimer and I have donated dozen of bags of items over the years. Will go to Savers instead.

Clothes all over the ground, every single isle, while also being kicked around cleaning their filthy floors. Even more staff today and still a mess? Too many staff trying to look busy. Everything's kind of mushed together as far as all the different types of clothing. Anything somewhat decent way over priced. A very small glass Tupperware container $7.99? It's not a nice thrift store at all anymore. Hire staff that actually work. Huge line while three staff are teaching a new person to use the one other register? The comment from SA about my complaint, didn't match my concerns at all?? Weird as if they didn't read it at all? This place is an overpriced junk store. Why so many clothes on the ground every time I've gone. I'm always hoping they'll clean up a bit, but it just gets worse! It's for a good cause, but you'd make more of a profit if it wasn't so junky and dirty! This store has all new staff, but it's the worst it's ever been!

The employees never say anything in particular but they look beaten down and it's clear the management is either creating or tolerating some negative environment. The turnover for employees is fast! The housewares section is dismal, very overprice. I agree it seems the good things must be being sold to pickers on the side or sent elsewhere. This is a wealthy area yet what comes in is generally very worn or low quality. Organization has gone downhill and racks are stuffed in there now. No decor and it seems dirty. It's my last choice these days.

Also, there are some good deals but still a bit pricey like a brand new banana republic dress with tags still on for $30. They had Seiko watches for $40 b it the face was scratched. Books selection was good but didn't get why a kids/beginner level book was $2.99 (think soft copy Berenstein Bears book). Everything is organized in sections and labeled. Again, a lot of variety. The book section is grand and I like how they're also organized by topics. Only thing that was a deterrent with this store was the pricing. Sure, you can look for the 50% color tag on some items to get a discount and possibly find a hidden gem of a deal, BUT Ross and Marshalls are literally across the street and they have all this new stuff for the same or even cheaper price (at least what I saw clothing wise). I personally wouldn't go out of my way to this location. I would think with so many items being donated, you'd find a fair price to keep items circulating and truly being a thrift price. Would I go back? Sure. It's just wasn't my exciting go to thrift spot. Check it out for yourself!
