Read this masage before you even think of brining your computer for repair at The Tech For Me in…read moreCloverdale next to Ray's shopping center. 3 months ago I brouhg my computer for repair because it had blue screen with bonch of latters was coming on on my loptop after running for 30 minutes or so and I brought it to this bussnes I was told it was $35 dollars for a diagnissis and i said fine half hour later the tech call me and said that my hard drive was the problem and I needed a new one, so I went in and he explain it again that it was going to cost me $89 for the hard drive $12 for shipping and $130 for labor plus tax. I told him if he was sure and sertain that it was my hard drive and he said yes! I told him that I didnt want to spend more than that if he finded soemthing alse wrong with it, he said don't worry Im sure thats the problem; so I paid everything so that he could order the hardrive and do the repairs. 2 weeks went by and he call me that it was ready i pick it up and went home just to find out I had the same problem my computer was not fix, long story short brought it back 3 weeks later after many calls from my part I got it back went home to find out still was not fix; I brought it back and know it has been close to 3 months I have not recived my loptop back! I spoke with the tech today and told me that there is something alse wrong with my loptop that if Iwanted to fix it I had to paid for more parts and labor and I said well I don't want to do that because with the previous amount plus the new amount I could buy a new one. So I told him that I wanted my computer back plus a refound, I was willing to pid for the diagnossis if he gave me the rest back and he said NO that he had to much time worked on my computer and he was NOT going to do that; I was told to pick my computer if I wanted not fix and I was not going to see a peny back. IF YOU WANT MY ADVICE don't go there go to a real bussnes like best buy or office depot I should had listen to my wife went she told me to bring to a place that we trusted. Gerado:-(

SIMPLE BATTERY REPLACEMENT ON LAPTOP BECOMES AN ORDEAL …read more... Incompetence, erratic behavior, shoddy workmanship, missed deadlines, lack of accountability This account was written by close friend who had a very upsetting experience after taking a Mac laptop to Richard Dow for a new battery--an ostensibly simple hardware fix. I offered to post it so others do not have to go through similar frustration. 1. I bring my laptop to a driveway so Richard could "see inside." HE RETURNS IT WITH TWO OUTSIDE SCREWS STRIPPED AND REMOVED FROM CASE. He has to order the battery and tells me he hates Macs though he claims to be a Mac repairman. 2. I return a week later to drop off laptop, supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. HE MISPLACED BATTERY. I go home, ready to call another repairman, he calls, found battery. 3. I bring it back at the agreed upon time. It won't be done for "a while." HE NEEDS TO FIND AND REPLACE TRACK PAD CABLE, WHICH WAS FINE BEFOREHAND! He gets mad because I'm upset and he's the one doing all the work!! Price has changed twice because of extra time. I do not pay the second increase and retrieve the laptop towards the end of the day. 4. Battery starts up that evening, but the next morning it is dead. Won't hold charge. 5. I take it to a professional technician in another city and watch as he opens the case. BATTERY NOT SEATED PROPERLY, TRACK PAD MISALIGNED, INTERNAL SCREWS STRIPPED, A SPACER BENT AND UNUSEABLE. I paid for this 2nd technician to correct Richard's errors.
