He has been able to help me by long distance telephone even though I don't live in the Santa Rosa, CA area where he is. He has learned computer I.T. literally from the ground up, beginning with pre-wiring homes and businesses, his technical experiences in the Marine Corp, and his follow-up with college graduation in computer training after his honorable discharge. Computers is what he has wanted to do from a very young age, and he has become a very capable technician. The fact that he is my grandson has very little to do with my commenting here. He has genuinely earned my respect and admiration by his determination, practical knowledge and skillful application.

Read this masage before you even think of brining your computer for repair at The Tech For Me in…read moreCloverdale next to Ray's shopping center. 3 months ago I brouhg my computer for repair because it had blue screen with bonch of latters was coming on on my loptop after running for 30 minutes or so and I brought it to this bussnes I was told it was $35 dollars for a diagnissis and i said fine half hour later the tech call me and said that my hard drive was the problem and I needed a new one, so I went in and he explain it again that it was going to cost me $89 for the hard drive $12 for shipping and $130 for labor plus tax. I told him if he was sure and sertain that it was my hard drive and he said yes! I told him that I didnt want to spend more than that if he finded soemthing alse wrong with it, he said don't worry Im sure thats the problem; so I paid everything so that he could order the hardrive and do the repairs. 2 weeks went by and he call me that it was ready i pick it up and went home just to find out I had the same problem my computer was not fix, long story short brought it back 3 weeks later after many calls from my part I got it back went home to find out still was not fix; I brought it back and know it has been close to 3 months I have not recived my loptop back! I spoke with the tech today and told me that there is something alse wrong with my loptop that if Iwanted to fix it I had to paid for more parts and labor and I said well I don't want to do that because with the previous amount plus the new amount I could buy a new one. So I told him that I wanted my computer back plus a refound, I was willing to pid for the diagnossis if he gave me the rest back and he said NO that he had to much time worked on my computer and he was NOT going to do that; I was told to pick my computer if I wanted not fix and I was not going to see a peny back. IF YOU WANT MY ADVICE don't go there go to a real bussnes like best buy or office depot I should had listen to my wife went she told me to bring to a place that we trusted. Gerado:-(

I had just spent a considerable amount of money on high-end PC parts for a new build. I assembled…read morethe computer, but ran into issues installing and updating the operating system. It was clearly a hardware problem that I could not figure out. I double and triple checked my work, checked the seating of all the components, and was at a loss to figure out what the problem was. I have experience building PCs, so making the decision to drop it off at a shop was unthinkable. However, after talking to Darin over the phone, he assured me he could troubleshoot my assembly and if necessary isolate any faulty components on the bench in time for me to RMA them. I dropped my computer off shortly before they closed for the Labor Day weekend, and had a very pleasant conversation with Darin and Jesse. They are two sharp guys who genuinely care about providing a superior level of customer service as well as some creative and valuable learning opportunities about computers for local kids. Chris gave me a call a few days later and let me know that after confirming that my assembly was done correctly and all the parts were functioning properly, the problem came down to a year old BIOS version on my brand new motherboard, something that had never occurred to me to check. They were able to flash it then get Win 11 installed and fully updated. They performed stress and thermal tests on all my parts and Darin personally insisted on carrying my box to my car when I came to pick it up. As a parting gift, he gave me what was probably the deepest dive into case fan configuration and airflow that I'd ever had with a sane human being. So far it's running great, and the cost was quite a bit less than I'd expected to have to pay. This isn't exactly the sort of service I have any desire to need an a regular basis, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to give these guys a call. I would recommend them to anybody who was in need of any of the services they perform. It's really easy to support a good group of people doing good work.
